You were flung backward, your sword almost being ripped from your fingertips. The wind rushing past your face as you made an almost too personal connection with the ground. Your body was twirling and bumping, creating skid marks on your skin as you stopped.
"(Y/n)! You okay?!" Tanjirou yelled, launching himself to attack the demon. Getting up yourself, you merely brushed off your wounds. Shifting your sword to a short stance, you leaped in an again.
Demon before you cackled in insanity. Portals opened too and from making you nauseous. "I'm fine!" You and Tanjirou made eye contact, knowing what move you both wanted to do.
Taking a deep breath, you focused on the tip of the blade. Improved form 4: Glaciers' Claw
The large sheet of thin, razor-sharp ice busted onto pieces, creating thick heavy fog. You backflipped away, telling Tanjirou to head in.
Using his own movie, the freezing fog began to thaw the demon's limbs. Freezing him in place.
"Combined move: twilight zone" Tanjirou's water froze his blade, extending it farther. You couldn't see much of what was happening because of the fog. Taking a chance, you rushed back inputting your sword to a side left.
You had assumed that Tanjirou at least had wounded it. And you were right. He was on the ground panting. Smirking, you went in for the kill, seeing its torso had been ripped in half.
The demon let out a breathy cackle, "I won't... let you win!" His arm extended, not giving you any time to move. However, Tanjirou grabbed your arm yanking you away with him.
This time, you weren't so lucky. The demon's hand ripped through your hair and clothes, making a deep gash. Bloodshot up into your throat as Tanjirou held you closer. Both of you were being shot backward.
"Off to the void with you!!" He screeched. Grunting, Tanjirou held onto you tightly, never letting you go. Suddenly, he didn't meet the ground as he should have. Instead, he and you were still falling.
You were unconscious as you and he plummeted through the sky. Thick clouds of smoke burned his nose as they fell farther. The could in the sky drenched them, making the two soaked to the bone.
"What's going on!?" He screeched, seeing he was falling towards earth. However, it wasn't the Forest where the group had gotten split up, but buildings.
It was something he didn't recognize. Night and smoke flooded the area, loud screams echoing from nowhere. "Tokoyami!" Someone called out. Tanjirou didn't dare to look, just holding your form unconscious in his arms. Suddenly, you were ripped from his grasp by a vermilion winged person. A loud growl echoed from his throat.
"Let her go!!" Tanjirou thrashed against the person who held him in the air. The blonde holding you motioned downwards where the night and smoke took place.

The whole time, Tanjirou begged for you back from him, but his plea still fell upon deaf ears. Not a second after touchdown on a building, Tanjirou jutted the end of the sword into the person behind him. This caused them to release him.
Next Tanjirou unsheathed his sword and did an attack for the person's wings. "Get away from her demon!" To dodge the attack, the person dropped you. Tanjirou caught your bloodied form and turned to glare.
"Hostile, aren't they?" The blonde one asked. The black one with a bird head merely grunted, a small shadow popping up from his shoulder. Tanjirou held his sword out sending a glare at the two.
"You're telling me... He's got one hell of a hit." A defensive growl erupted from his throat. "Back away demons. I don't wanna kill you." A twinge of sadness laced his voice. His threat caused the blonde to raise an eyebrow. "Take notes-" The blonde said to the bird guy. He knelt down, silently examining your wound. He put his hands up in surrender. "I'm not a demon. I'm a pro hero, Hawks."
Tanjirou couldn't tell if he was telling the truth. A large amount of smoke made it hard to pick up any scent. He placed his blade away, covering his nose with his haori. He did the same with you, glaring at them.
He knew by now not to trust anyone with a strange appearance. Bright vermilion wings and bird head were definitely signs of a blood art. "Pro... hero?" He said slowly, bringing your form close.
The blonde was curious as to why he held his sleeve over his nose and yours. Sure there was smoke but it was pretty thick below them.
"Yes, it's my job, now can we help you two without another attack?" He said softly, a lazy tone to his voice.
Tanjirou glared at them, "You don't smell human..." The smell of demons was everywhere, considering they had the scent of burned oil. "Smell? Human? It your quirk kid?"
This made Tanjirou defensively scoot away. "I haven't got a clue what a quirk is... We were born this way..."
"You have two?" He whispered. "Well-" hawks plucked a feather, holding it put to the frightened boy before him. Carefully, Tanjirou sniffed it, smelling no blood on the feather. Opening his eyes, he relaxed slightly.
"What are your names?" Hawks asked, his eyes now on you. 'Are these kids heroes in training? Or something else?' Tanjirou took a moment to answer.
"Tanjirou... And this is (Y/n)." Suddenly without warning, you shot up unsheathing your blade. You didn't make it a foot before falling to your knees in pain.
"Damn it! That Taj... I'll get him for this." Putting a hand over your wound, your face contorted into a wince. The scent of smoke singed your nose making you create ice from your sword.

Hawks and Tokoyami took a step backward, seeing ice crawl along the floor. 'An ice quirk?' You felt hands on your shoulders, looking back only for it to be Tanjirou. Instinctively, you wrapped your arms around him.
"Whoa there..." Hawks soothed, not knowing if you were as dangerous as Tanjirou. You shot him a glare but winced at the movement of your wound.
"Would you mind tell me who did that to you?" He asked, looking at the fog oozing from your blade and spilling out onto the building's rooftop. "You mean what... It wasn't a person." You hissed through the pain, feeling Tanjirou sturdy you.
"What? A name?" He asked, stroking his chin. "I don't know what kind of demon you named, but his hand tore through my uniform." Your haori hung low off your shoulders. This, in turn, revealing the "destroy" symbol on your back.
Shakily, you sheathed the blade and covered your nose, feeling it burn. 'They look to be part of an organization... I haven't heard of before.'
Hawks took a step closer to you. "What do you mean by demons? He's been calling us that since we landed." You glanced back at Tanjirou. He gave you a small nod too let you know they were mostly human.
"Demons were once humans that turned into s-such..." You groaned, feeling the pain course throughout you. "That's why we demon slayers exist you know." Tanjirou finished.
'... Something isn't right here... Better take them back to somewhere safe.' He took a step closer, making you glare. Your markings began to glow, making him freeze in place.
"Come on... This city is under attack and I want to take you to a safe place." 'Make that three.'
The glow around you stopped. This the pain you felt that much worse. Groaning, you buckled over, falling into the darkness again. Tanjirou steadied you in his arms.
"Please..." Tanjirou begged, his tone drastically different than before. Hawks motioned to Tokoyami who grabbed Tanjirou while Hawks held you.
Tanjirou didn't put up a fight this time, feeling his own wounds start to ache. Slowly, you two were brought to a large 20 story building with a patio. The heroes landed and unlocked the glass door.
Carefully, he brought you inside and placed you on a guest bed, and went back and allowed Tanjirou in. "I'll be back tonight..." He muttered, flying off with Tokoyami.
Tanjirou didn't waste any time digging through the place to find bandages. After finding them in an odd room where he could see himself. Of course, Tanjirou knew it was a mirror but hadn't ever seen one in person.
He made his way back to you. Placing all the supplies on the nightstand close to the side you were on. Carefully Tanjirou got to work removing the Haori from you. From there he patched you up.
Tired out, he shrugged off Nezuko's box and tucked it against the bed. Completely exhausted and confused, he wrapped an arm around you protectively.
It wasn't until in the dead of night when Hawks came back to his silent home. It was exactly as he had found it. However, the two pairs of shoes sitting outside the guest room reminded him.
Silently, he opened the door and walked in. He found the two asleep. Keigo began looking at the items you two owned.
Picking up your sword, it turned a vermilion red. Curiously, he placed the blade in your hand, to where it turned white. Taking it back, he examined the craftsmanship of the blades.
'These were handmade, not by any quirk or equipment manufacturer.' He felt strange holding them as if he was supposed to do something with it.
Hawks looked over at you seeing your wound perfectly stitched and bandaged. Your uniform had also been mended to perfection. 'No one has that kind of skill regularly... And I thought those outfits were just hero costumes.'
Hawks plucked a feather and tried to cut a small piece of fabric. However, the blade couldn't do anything too. 'This cloth is armor in itself. Where did these kids come from?' Now that he thought about it, it would take a lot of force for something to rip this fabric. His feather couldn't do it but some demon named Taj could?
Next, Hawks found a box, tucked neatly against the bed.
Curiously, he tried to open it. But it seemed to be locked from the inside. A light scratching sound caught his attention. Before he could even do anything, the box was snatched and the two of you were awake and alert.
'Such reflexes...' You glanced outside, seeing the dark of night. Sighing, you placed a hand on Tanjirou's shoulder. "I think we can let her out." You said. Tanjirou looked at you, worry in his eyes.
Hawks looked up at them from the floor. "Is there a person in that small thing?" You climbed off the bed, putting it on the floor.
Neither you nor Tanjirou said anything about her. You tapped it, letting her know it was safe to come out. Slowly, to the door opened to reveal Nezuko crawling out inthe small form.
Slowly she stood, fully looking at everything. "What just happened? Why does she have a bamboo muzzle on?" Hawks asked, completely confused.
