"Kamado... Please stop breaking that." You looked at the crimson purple haired boy kicking the already tattered wall.
His eyes narrowed on you. "What's it to you, princess?" Clenching the hem of your sweater, you glared back. Daring to poke a beast. "It means, you can't just break a kids play wall just because you want too."
As a act of rebellion, he kicked a large chunk of concrete. The chunk went flying, only to shatter even more.
His action caused a small squeak to escape your lips, making him look at you. "K-Kamado... You can't break public property like this." A slight fear pulsed through your body. Making your throat dry and hands shake.
His eyes narrowed. You couldn't really tell his expression from behind the black mask he wore. The angsty teen shoved his hands into his pockets, turning away from your gaze.
"Heh, I'd punch whoever came up with that law." He spat, not really looking at anything.
"Yo, Tanjirou!" The two of you turned towards the sounds of voices. Just by the colors, you could tell it was Zensetsu and Inosuke. 'Great, more trouble.'
Standing, you decided to leave before you had gotten stuck in the middle of it. "Kamado... Maybe Inosuke can beat some sense into you." You muttered, turning away.
Before you could even take a step, a hand latched onto your wrist. You whipped around, tripping on the rubble littering at your feet.
A rather sharp piece cutting past your sock and into your ankle. A small hiss escaped your lips as your back was met with the broken wall.
"Now, let's here you say that again. Princess." Looking upwards, Tanjirou was pinning you to the wall, glaring down at your form.
A shaky laugh left your lips. "Make me Kamado." Tanjirou didn't take it well too being confronted like that. Especially when he was told to lose a fight.
He studied your face, looking for anything that could give him a advantage. You did the same, staring at his form, neither of you wavering. "What you doing to Princess Tanjirou?" Zensetsu asked, watching the situation between the two teens.
Neither of them moved or turned to look at him. "Heh, you're such a interesting thing, Princess." Tanjirou closed his eyes and leaned back. This releasing you from the hold. You clenched your fist, feeling upset that he had heard you stutter. "I'm going home." Turning on your heal, you walked away. Giving Inosuke a small wave before you vanished behind the wall.
You held your arms, shaky that he had pinned you. 'What a way to spend a Saturday.' Even though Inosuke and Zensetsu are your friends, Tanjirou was something a little different.
You started to chew the inside of your cheek as you started to walk home. Passing the old streets and shops you walked by daily on the way to school.
As you turned the corner, a sweet scent of Soba faintly filled your nose. Without knowing, you followed the delicious scent. Eventually you came to a small shop. "When did this get here!? Hhmmm, soba..." You were a glutton for it. The way the noodles were prepared to the add ins and light broth they used. (If you cant tell, I'm starving...)
After grabbing some, you started your trek back home. The sounds of the busy city streets filled your ears, humming as you walked.
"Uhm, Tanjirou? What was that?" Zensetsu asked. He curiously looked to the spot where you had just walked off. The male in question kept quiet, nothing but a glare telling the Eletric yellow haired boy to not pry.

Zensetsu sighed, knowing he wasn't going to get a answer out of him. "Whatever, let's get your sister and go to the bar, we have work to do."
Tanjirou ran a hand through his hair. "That dammed man is a slave driver." He spat, not bothering to say his name.
"Its a fight Kampatchi! Deal with it!!" Inosuke yelled, clearly ready to fight. Sighing, the tree left the park and broken wall behind.
However, a fight was the last thing on Tanjirou's mind. He was trying to peice together why you care so dammed much about a wall.
The scene replayed over and over in his head. The look you gave him made something in his chest squeeze. It took more than he was willing to admit to not let any emotion cross his face.
He clenched his fist pulling it out of his pocket to look. A small bracelet hung from his wrist, catching his attention. It was just a simple design of white marble beads with a red marble one at the center.
He chewed the inside of his lip, nervousness getting to him.
Meanwhile, you unlocked your door. The sweet familiar scent of soba and your small place giving you relief.
For some reason, your appetite had died on the way back. Kicking off your shoes, you walked in and placed the soba on the counter.
Softly you started to hum to yourself. Sitting down at your desk, you started your homework for the weekend. Not even ten minutes in, your eyes stuck to the bracelet red beaded bracelet with the white bead at the center.
Sighing, you threw your head back. Being brought into that situation was infuriating to say the least. "Ugh... What a jerk." You never approved of the way he and the others acted. Even though you were similar when you were younger. Just a preteen girl who didn't know who she was.
"I can't blame him though..." you sighed, leaning forward. Resting your chin on your palm, you looked out to the now setting sun.
'Bzzt bzzt'
Curiously, you glanced at the buzzing phone on the desk. A loud groan left your lips as you picked it up. "Hi honeybun~!" Right away, a hiss left your lips as you hung up.
You certainly weren't in the mood to talk to him. Standing, you tossed the phone onto the bed not caring if it fell off. Groaning, you face planted into the bed, burying your face into the pillows.
'Since I hung up on him... He'll come to check up on me, better lock the doors.'
Not wanting to move, you fell off the bed and began to walk around the small apartment. Making sure every window latch, lock, etc. Was secure before you face planted into the bed again. The soft sheets lulling you off to sleep.
There was a strange heaviness resting on your chest. A blurred image of the bracelet. "Just stay safe... Tanji..." The breathy words leaving your lips as sleep pulled you in completely.
"Now, I wouldn't attempt it if I were you." Tanjirou stood leaning against the wall, a serious glare on the men talking. This isn't something he was interested in the least. "L-look you bitch! I lost a lot on you no-one you're back?" One of the men stated, clearly a coward. Tanjirou's current employer rose a hand, snapping.
Sighing, he walked forwards and grabbed the back of the man's neck, slamming his chin into the table. "A child? You're not serious."
Tanjirou glared down at him, eyes ablaze with fire. "Nope, he's under me and does what I say. Now, fork over the goods before I let him lose."

Tanjirou ran his hand through the man's hair, gripping it. But not for the reason you would think. He pulled the man's head up, and slammed it back down. He was pretty much zoning out, not paying attention to the conversation. After all it wasn't his business.
"Okay! Get this freak off me!" With a snap, he let go. Whatever his one time employer was here for, he got rather quickly so he needed to leave.
Walking down to the car garage, he met up with Zensetsu and Inosuke bickering over something stupid. "Oi. Shut it." He growled.
You were sleeping like a rock, hardly ever moving or shifting in your sleep. That was until a soft knock groggily pulled you from the dreamless slumber. A soft groan left your lips. You buried yourself into the pillows, not wanting to move.
The knocking slowly got louder, finally waking you up enough. Sitting on the bed, you rubbed your eye with the heel of your palm. With a yawn, you stumbled out of bed and towards the door. The darkness of your apartment telling you it was fairly late.
The knocking grew louder, making you grow more frustrated that you were woken up at this ungodly hour. "I'm coming!" You snapped when the knocking grew more louder and faster.
Turning on the porch light, you unlocked and opened the door slightly. Your surprise, was indifferent. A loud growl left your throat. "What do you want?"
"Is this what a father has to go through in order to spend time with his little girl?" He said, tipping his hat.
Crossing your arms, a soft growl left your lips. "Yes, I thought I made it clear I don't want you around!" You hissed. You glared at the man who technically was your father... But you hated him. Nothing bit a awful bastard who wanted nothing but to fulfill his own desires.
"I'm wounded. Shouldn't talk to your dearest papa that way." He leaned in, booping your nose. Before he could pull away, you attempted to bite his finger.
"Leave. I'm not going back no matter what you offer." You took a step back, hand ready on the door.
"But I'm only offering you everything." He said, crossing his arms. "Yeah, through violence and crime! I dont want it anymore, go home." Then, you slammed the door in his face.
Adrenaline shot through your system. Tiredly, you locked the door and started to walk back. But he was at your window, a semi glare in his eyes. You shut the blinds, not letting him see inside.
Unfortunately for you, he tried to stick around the entire night...
In the early morning, you knocked out at your desk. However, sleepy as you were, the buzzing of your phone slowly woke you up. Groggily you answered it. "Hello."
A frightened voice of Zensetsu answered. "(Y/n) my god, I've been calling you for hours!" Taking your head off the desk, you answered.
"Well... I was sleeping Zen." He sounded like he wasn't alone from the others talking in the background. It sounded like Tanjirou to you. "You shit! Don't tell her!" "I have too!"
"Tell me what. Spit it out." You growled, wanting a answer. "Sorry, Nezuko is in the hospital the twel-" then, it sounded like the phone was snatched and hung up on.
You found yourself running to the hospital. Suddenly, you burst through the doors to the front desk.
The lady at the front desk gave you a weird look as you struggled to say the words.
"N-nezuko Kamado?" The lady pointed to a room just down the hall. Thanking her, you walked down the halls until her room came into view.
Inside, Nezuko sat with a bandage on her forehead and a Crimson haired male next to her. You wasn't surprised at all that he was here, what did was the sad the was the surprised look glinting in his eyes.
Probably because not only were you wearing the blue sweater and leggings from yesterday, you deshelved appearance was something new to him. He hadn't ever seen your hair as messy as it was, nor the bags underneath your eyes.
"What are you doing here, Princess?" His voice sounded tired, the husky sounding voice telling you he hadn't slept.
"Hello to you too, Kamadō." You gave the boy a small smile before sitting next to him. You couldn't tell how much pain he was in, seeing his own sister in the hospital, but you had guessed a lot.
"You didn't answer my question." The boy's deep sounding voice was rather different than his kinda... Pitchy voice. Not like you minded of course. "I heard about your sister and thought I'd check up on her."
She heard him chuckle lightly. "You're too peachy, princess." The girl puffed out her cheeks.
"Shut it. It's not a bad thing to be nice sometimes." The boy let out a breathy chuckle, leaning on his knees.
"Being nice these days is just gonna get you a knife in your back." You gazed at the sleeping girl in front of you. "Don't tell me you actually believe that."
The Crimson haired boy stood and stuffed his hands into his pockets. He slowly walked to the window and stared out at the people below. "We've been alone... The two of us, so, being nice to people really only led to this."
A strand hurt pulsed in your chest. Glancing down at your lap, you might have thought it best to leave. The red bracelet on your wrist not going unnoticed by the male. He just never saw it because of the sleeves you wore.
"Well... I'm sorry to hear that. Truly, Tanjirou." You said kindly before standing to leave. Your hand latched to the handle. Hesitation gripped at you, afterall you just got here.
Once again, a hand latched onto your wrist.
It took most of your courage to glance down at the hand.
Your eyes trail upwards to see a panicked boy struggling to speak. Going back down, you caught a glimpse of the white bracelet around his wrist.
"Wait... Don't go." What was this boy doing to you? "U-Uhm sure thing." Once again, you took a seat on the edge of Nezuko's bed. The boy sat in front of her. He fiddled with the bracelet around his wrist.
'He still wears it...?'
Sighing, you leaned back on your hands. "Is there something you wanted to say?"
Tanjirou glared down at his feet as if debating to say something or not. 'Did he really not want me to go? Why? We haven't really been friends since middle school. We were when we're young but eventually, something tragic happened to his family and he stopped talking to me. He grew more defensive and began to get into fights with Zen and Inosuke who were the only boys who would be near him.'
You had tried to keep him from getting into fights so he could help his sister without the need or violence. "N-no... I just want you here, okay?" He almost hissed the words.
You blinked in confusion. leaning on your knees, unaware that someone was looking through the small window, they vanished from view before anyone noticed.
"I can do that. I've got nowhere to be." The boy gave you a small smile. One barely noticeable, but, you noticed and loved it.
Throughout the weeks, the friendship was being rebuilt between the two. Growing with each passing day. (y/n) knew what the boy's past was, but he never knew hers. When they were little, she never talked about siblings, her mother, nor father, it made Tanjirou wondered: Did she live alone?
One day, the boy walked into his sister's room, expecting to see you sitting by her bedside, joking with his sleeping sister.
There was only Nezuko sleeping peacefully in her bed, alone. At the bedside, was a piece of paper and blue cloth. Curiously, he picked it up. It was a blue haori, even though people didn't wear them anymore, he had found (y/n) was quite fond of them. She even went so far as to get him a green checkered one.
Confusingly, he picked up the paper and unfolded it. His heart shot up into his throat at what was on the paper. There, was a single cresent blood moon. "The twelve... I should have known." Growling, he placed the Haori in his bag and marched off. Anger sweeping through his veins.
'Why!? Why did they want her? She was useless to them!' Tanjirou made his way to the darker side of town. Their people who had nothing to live for sold drugs committed a crime, and other things.
A small bar called the crescent moon appeared just ahead of him. He swung the doors open. The people inside giving him a questioning look, he just glared at them in return.
He stomped up to the bar and slammed his hands on the counter. "Where is he?" Tanjirou growled, glaring at the bartender behind the counter.
Shakily, the bartender pointed to a back room that led further down underground. Not saying another word, he slammed the door open and ran down in the hallway until another door came into view.
His hand latched to the door but it wouldn't move. Biting his lip, he backed up and rammed the door until it's rusted hinges broke free from the wall. Once the dust cleared, what he saw made his heart drop.
(y/n)... Your hands and feet were bound by ropes in the chair you sat in. Head hanging limply between your shoulders. A stream of blood trickled down your face and into your eye. A single light swung just below the ceiling lighting the dim room.
He ran over to you and grabbed your shoulders. Tanjirou shook you slightly, trying to get you up.
When you didn't stir, he took out a flip blade and cut the ropes binding you. Your body slumped forwards into Tanjirou's chest. He wrapped his arms around you.
A slow clap echoed in the air. Tanjirou shot up after carefully placing you back behind him.
A shadowy figure drew from the shadows. "It's nice to know someone cares for this brat." Tanjirou knew the voice well.
The leader of the moons, Muzan. Tanjirou stepped in front of her. "Shut it, you have no right to talk to her, you filth." He hissed. Muzan drew back in the fake offense. "Ha! I'd say I do." Tanjirou slides the blade further into his sleeve, keeping it hidden. Muzan crossed his arms, smirking at the pissed off boy. "What makes you think that?"
"Like I said, as her father, I say so." Tanjirou bit his lip. No way, you were so kind compared to this devil. "Oh yes! It's that look I wanted!" Tanjirou's attention snapped back.
"The one of complete and utter betrayal... Yes, I'm actually not surprised she didn't tell you." Muzan crossed his arms over his chest. "She hates me, even though I can't understand why? I just wanted to give her everything and she denied it! That brat."
Tanjirou knew her mother had died by the way she talked about her, a twinge of sadness laced her voice each time she mentioned a saying her mother would say.
Muzan took a step closer causing Tanjirou to tense. "Really though, the brat refused my help and lived her life completely alone. Still... She took kindness on you. Even though her problems are worse than yours, she continued to bare her own troubles. She turned to no one, even though, I was standing right in front of her." Muzan gazed down at the teen. He glared back with a hand on his small blade.
"Yet you do this to her!? No wonder she hates you." Muzan's eyes narrowed at the teen. Tanjirou was caught off guard by a fist flying towards his face. Instinct took over and he ducked and punched his stomach. He crippled over, holding his stomach. Tanjirou stood over him, glaring down at the fool.
"If you ever come near her again... I'll make sure you never eat solid food again." The grabbed his collar, forcing him to look into his fiery red eyes. "Understand?" Muzan growled at the boy, in response, Tanjirou's fist connected with his jaw. His body turned limp as he slumped to the floor.
The teen turned on his heel and gathered you up in his arms. He didn't exactly know where you lived, so he brought you back to his place.
It was a small run-down apartment building that he got at a cheap rate. He placed her down on the couch and cleaned up the cut in your hairline. Without knowing, he had cupped your cheek. Your head snuggled into his hand causing him to blush.
Suddenly, you shot up and pushed Tanjirou off the couch. After a second, you realized who he was. "Tanjirou? How did I?" Your eyes glanced around the small living place.
"Sheesh, some thanks I get for saving your ass." The flustered boy picked himself up. You glanced down at him sadly. He didn't want you to be sad. He plopped himself next to you on the couch and placed a hand over yours.
"T-thanks..." you refused to meet his gaze, instead, you stared at the connected hands between them. "I wish I could repay you... But, I don't have anything."
