Yin POV

Standing in front of me was the love of my life, Sapphire. But she was different. Her skin was pale and her hair was white. Her eyes were pure red and she had black veins across her body. What happened to her? I decided to approach her, she growled at me.

Me: Sapphire.

Next thing I know there is a sword in my gut. I see Sapphire standing there with a sword. I stumble back as Sapphire charges again. This time she slashes across my chest. Ruby gets angry and charges with her scythe. She swings at Sapphire but I get in the way. She cuts down my back. Sapphire then stabs goes to stab me again but Ruby tries to intervene. I use both of my blades to stop their attacks. They both jump back.

Ruby: Yin what are you doing?

Sapphire charges again and I defend myself with by blades.

Me: You cant kill her!

I sat struggling to defend myself from Sapphire's relentless attacks. All she does is continue to growl.

Ruby: Why not?

Me: This is Neo's mother.

Ruby has a shocked look on her face. Sapphire slashes my right shoulder and jumps back. She charges at me again and I block her. Ruby uses her semblance and kicks Sapphire away. She goes to hit Sapphire but I block her.

Ruby: Yin I know you love her, but she's trying to kill you!

Me: I still cant let you do this!

Sapphire appears again, this time kicking Ruby away and stabbing my right shoulder. Sapphire then kicks me to the ground and jumps in the air, ready to deal the finishing blow.

Ruby: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There is a bright silver that covers the entire area. When the light fades I see Sapphire on the ground, unconscious. I see a small bug come out of her neck and die. Sapphire's hair and skin return to normal. I sit down by her and hold her in my arms. Ruby comes over.

Ruby: So that's your wife?

Me: Yes.

Ruby: I thought she died.

Me: I thought so to, turns out she was alive this whole time.

I stare down at Sapphire's unconscious face. I cant believe after all this time she was alive.

Me: Ruby I need you to do something for me.

Ruby: What is it?

Me: Stay here and watch Sapphire for me.

Ruby: I cant me and you have to-

Me: Please Ruby, I cant lose her again. I can fight Salem on my own, I promise.

Ruby thinks about this for a moment.

Ruby: All right I'll do it, but you better come back.

Me: Don't worry I will.

I kiss Sapphire on her cheek and hand her over to Ruby. After that I continue to run down the hall. As I'm running I smell something familiar that makes me stop in my tracks.

Me: I know you're there Cinder.

From above Cinder jumps down.

Yin and Cinder stare at each other.

Cinder: Good to see you again Yin, I was hoping you were still alive. I wanted a better fight than that.

Yin: You're about to get one.

Cinder: How's the wife by the way.

Cinder says with an evil smile, I give my own smug smile.

Yin: We got that bug out of her neck if you're wondering. Ruby's watching over her.

Cinder's smile fades. She throws a fire ball at Yin but he jumps out of the way. Yin then fires his shards but Cinder fires a lot of fire, destroying the shards. Cinder creates her glass swords as Yin manifest his blades. They charge at each other and become blurs. All that could be seen was the light from Cinder's swords. They were viscously swing their blades at each other but never doing any real damage. They jump back from each other.

Cinder: Take this!

She fires a giant fireball at Yin. Yin gets ready to take the fireball head on. But then a figure jumps in the way and forms an aura shield. When the smoke clears Yin sees a person wearing a blue robe and a burlap sac over their head. They also had a strange sword.

Yin: I remember you, you saved my life back at Haven.

???: That I did.

Yin: Who are you?

???: I'm an old friend.

The figure then took off the sac and revealed...

...Jaune Arc standing there, however he had a mask covering his up to below his noise. Yin was speechless.

Yin: J-Jaune?

Jaune gave an eye smile and waved.

Jaune: Good to see you again Yin. Wish we could catch up but this isn't the best time. You go on ahead, I'll take care of Cinder.

Yin: Are you sure?

Jaune: I didn't spend those two years doing nothing.

Yin continues down the hall. Cinder goes to stop him but Jaune steps in her way. All Cinder does is smirk.

Cinder: Good to see you again Jaune. I'm guessing you're the one who freed Ironwood.

Jaune: Yep, that was me.

Cinder throws fireballs at Jaune. He uses his sword and slices through them, which surprises Cinder. Cinder reforms her swords and charges at Jaune. Jaune uses his semblance to enhance his speed. Cinder rapidly swings her swords at Jaune, he spins around his giant blade to block. Cinder gets thrown back by Jaune. Cinder then jumps into the air and sends a huge wave of fire at Jaune. Jaune amplifies his aura and it protects him. However Cinder throws a fireball at Jaune and it hits him right in the chest. Cinder rushes forwards but Jaune quickly gets back up. Their weapons collide and they both jump back.

Cinder: You've come a long way from being weak.

Jaune: Thank you.

Cinder: But you're a long way from beating me.

Cinder's right eye changes to it's red and black form. Three red tendrils pop out of her back. The tendrils bolt forwards. Jaune jumps out of the way of the incoming tendrils. Cinder pulls them back and strikes with them again. Jaune uses his sword to block each of them. While Jaune is distracted, Cinder formed an arrow with out of fire. She launched the arrow at Jaune and it hits him in his right shoulder. Cinder then jumps into the air.

Cinder: THIS TIME, DIE!

Before she reaches the ground, Jaune jumps out of the way. Cinder's tendrils get stuck in the ground. Jaune suddenly appears in front of Cinder.

Jaune: You should have trained more with your tendrils.

Jaune pressed a button on his sword and it split into two.

Jaune swings his swords and it slices apart Cinder's tendrils and leaves an X-mark on her torso. Cinder jumps back and Jaune charges. Cinder throws fireballs but Jaune deflects them with his sword. When Jaune got close enough, he stabbed Cinder with both of his swords under chest. He kicked her to the ground and went to deal the final blow. However Cinder shoots out fire, making Jaune jump back to avoid the flames. When the flames disperse, Cinder is gone.

Jaune: In the end, all villains are the same. Nothing but cowards who fear death.
