"I can see, see the pain in your eyes
Oh believe, believe me and I have tried
No I won't, I won't pretend to know what you've been through
You should know, I wish it was me not you"
~ You Me At Six, Take on the World
Lili was depressed, she hadn't gone out to cast parties in a week and her friends were all starting to worry about her because she barely talked to anyone.
Cole also was worried, Camila and Mads have asked him the previous day if something happened between him and Lili that made her sad and he said that nothing happened and after this conversation, he was really worried, so he decided to build up his courage and go talk to her.
He knocked on her door and waited for a few seconds before she answered and when she did, her eyes were puffy and her hair was messy and she wore a sweatshirt and sweatpants, in his eyes she was still beautiful, but he noticed her messiness.
She had a questioning look when she saw him, and then said: "hi" and he replied to her saying: "everyone was really worried about you, what happened? are you okay?" and he saw that a tear slipped from her eye so before any more tears could slip, he pulled her into a comforting soft hug while she cried in his chest.
Lili finished crying, Cole felt it. He then asked her softly "Do you want to talk about it?" and she said: "6 days ago, I got a call from my mother and--" her tears then started to fall again, he squeezed her hand and she continued "and she told me that my grandfather has passed away, and I didn't even get the chance to say goodbye to him" he then pulled her back into his chest and said softly: "I'm so sorry, Lils. He's in a better place now, He'll be watching you." Lili blushed at the nickname he had called her for 3 years now but stopped when they broke up and said quietly: "thank you". "For what?" Cole asked. "For letting me ruin your shirt, for saying these things, just thanks, I thought you would stop talking to me after the breakup and all that." Cole lifted her head and then cupped her face and said: "Lils, I'm not going to stop talking to you just because we broke up. We're still friends, right?" and she nodded.

Although it hurt him to call them 'friends', Cole said it because he didn't want to tell her just yet that he still had feelings for her, that he never stopped, and Lili too, when she heard 'friends', she was hurt but was also happy that at least they will still be in each other's lives, if not as a couple, then as friends and co-stars.

Just a Rock
There was once a writer that felt like creating a story about a rock. A rock so amazing that its story just needed to be told. How amazing? Not amazing at all, on the contrary, quite ordinary. Don't believe me? Then read on. Edit: Resumed the story. Can’t do any more audio versions for now. I plan on editing some of the now non-applicable author notes and maybe rearranging the two side stories or combining them with the deleted chapters.

The Life Between Worlds - Prologue
"Kene comes first." Nephern and Sterthen, previously the first and second captains of the Sun Guard, were exiled. Banished to the edges of the empire that they used to call home. There, just outside of the city of Anghelen and on the edges of the Helefiran - the dark forest - they lived in relative peace, raising their daughter Kene. Nearly a decade has passed, and the "dark forest" hardly lived up to its name. For the two elite soldiers, the creatures that occasionally wandered out of it were barely a nuisance. Until now. Faced with a declaration of war from one of the Empire's oldest foes and the emergence of... something else... the two have to fight to hold onto the life that they built in exile. --- --- --- This story is continued here: The Life Between Worlds - VOL I

Cascadia
Corvayne, a warrior exiled from his desert village, ends up in the backwater colony city Cascadia. He meets a strange girl, jumps through a portal to another world, and starts a journey to protect her and discover the secrets and treasures waiting in the mysterious rifts they call 'Towers'. Follow Corvayne as he fights throngs of monsters and explores totally-not-Seattle with Wick, his foul mouthed girlfriend. Along the way Corvayne will accumulate a rotating party of friends and misfits, journey into through dungeons full of dangers and loot, and learn to use a bevy of strange powers as he faces threats inside the mysterious 'Towers' and through the city of Cascadia, which hosts secrets of it's own, all while trying to unravel his tangled past. Updates: Mondays + Whenever I feel like it. ****************** This story features: -A cast who are mostly good friends and mostly good people, despite exploring weird and dangerous worlds. -A mix of dungeons, dragons, and exploring the pine scented city of Cascadia. -Very light LitRPG elements that slowly seep into the story. Learning the system is a challenge that takes the characters a long time. -A strange universe with a mix of both standard magic and powers that twist reality itself. Some wizards know how to cast fireball, but a few can curse someone to be lost for eons. -No explicit sex scenes. Warning is for implied sex scenes and some nudity. -Lots of blood, mostly monster blood. -A long planned story and long character arcs. I have the ending in mind as I write. -Single character PoV, with plans to add bonus chapters for other characters. [A winner of the Royal Road Writathon challenge.]

The WereLionesses Mate
She was running out of breath, but that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting away from him and proving him wrong. Branches scraped her face and her arms, her body burning hot; but cold from her sweat as the wind blew over her skin. Her pants soaked from running through the streams, her shirt ripped to shreds around her stomach from very low hanging branches. Her hair, a tumbling fiery mess of tangles, and waves slipping through the ponytail she had quickly fastened trying to tame her wild hair. Running and crawling on the ground through the forest floor, trying to get back to the camp grounds so Whhooossshhhh! All of a sudden a giant gust of wind flew past her nearly lifting her off the ground and throwing her into a tree. Where in the world did that wind come from? She thought, but she kept running like it had never happened. She jumped over a fallen log, ignoring the fact that she almost fell in the process. She zoomed past all the trees and sprinted over the roots coming out of the ground. She rounded another tree coming to a sudden halt at seeing him standing there with a drink in his hand laughing and joking. She stood there wondering how in the world he could have beaten her here; He looked at her then, He looked, well, handsome, his faced was clean shaven and his button up shirt was all unbuttoned minus the three at the bottom. She could still visibly see his bronze chest and the top of his ripped-hard abs. He walked over to her and smiled, showing all of his teeth, the smile reaching his eyes. His eyes were dark and stormy, their color was usually a nice honey brown but now his eyes looked mid-night black. They looked like they could kill a man at eighty paces, but could sweep a woman off her feet at the same time.
