《Fade Away [Reapertale]》Chapter #7: Purple

Sometimes it feels like I'm in a dream
Or, a nightmare
But I'm awake
And, I'm doing things but
I'm not meaning to do them
And even though it's a nightmare
I feel happy inside
[Sans POV]
"Come on (Y/N) I need to see your powers." I said to (Y/N).
Right now we were in the fight room.
There was this feeling that something bad was going to happen. Something not good and I would need her for something. So we begin to fight.
In a way we were the best team ever. I could not hit her and she could not hit me but she was not using her powers. She seemed scared too.
I'm just trying to help her. She need to have strength in her and her powers. She needs to know how to control them and I would teach her how too.
"Do you really want to see them?" (Y/N) said looking down at her feet. "Well I'll show you." Slowly her whole image started to change. The one blue eyes slowly turned red. Her skin turned lighter. Her hair grew longer. Her clothes started to change to. She was in a white dress but it changed into a green and yellow long sleeved shirt and some blue shorts. A knife showed up in her left hand. "Ready Sans?"
(Y/N) ran at me with a smile. She was much faster now. I almost didn't have time to move out of the way.
She raised her hand, a red flame surrounded it. She thrust her hand out into the air. The red flames came at me. I was then slammed back into the wall. She took slow steps towards me. Her hand was still out in front of her. She stopped a few feet away from me. She closes her hand and pulls it closer to her body. The red flames that had wrapped around my body pulled me closer to her.

I was than standing in front of her. Staring at her two red eyes. (Y/N) smiled sadly at me. She looked so much like Chara.
"Is this what you wanted Sans?" (Y/N) started to say. "Is this the power you wanted to see from me? The true demon that I am? I can't control this power Sans." She tighten her hand. The red flames that were surrounded me pressed more into my body. "I've tried Sans." She slowly losses her grip on me as she looked down at the ground. "Do you ever hear that little voice in your head.... Telling you to ruin everything? To take control of everything? To make everyone suffer?" She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. "I've done some thing in my life that you may think are crazy. A little different from the rest. I've got some ghost who follow me. I can't control them. I can't control it." She sits me all the way down and puts her head in her hands. "This power I have." (Y/N) said looking down at her hands. I don't know how to. I'm scared to use it. "What if I kill someone I'm close to? What if something goes wrong when I'm using my powers? Dose it come from the black soul I have? I don't know Sans."
I move closer to her and wrapped one of my bone around her. "Look (Y/N), I have the same thoughts everyday. I don't know if I'll be able to control the powers that I have. I don't know if I'll hurt someone. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare and everything around me is floating or has broke or there a black storm surrounding me. I'm scared of myself. I'm scared to be around you. I'm scared that I will brake you or hurt you." I raised her head again, making her look at me. "But all you can do is learn how to control it the best you can. And look, I'm here for you right now. I always will be. I won't ever give up on you." I said and gave her a smile.

"You promise?" She asked in a shaky voice.
I wrapped both of my arms around her and hugged her tightly. I laid my head on her shoulder and whispered into her ear, "I promise."
[???? POV]
"Haha. Your so funny Sans. Don't you know that promises don't mean a thing anymore? Promises are meant to be broken. There just words that you say to someone to get them to like you. 'I promise you this' or 'I promise you that.' Don't make me sick. You don't mean anything you say Sans. But I do Sans. I'll show you when the time is right. Isn't that right Asriel?" I said looking up from the water and to the flower.
"Yes Chara." He said.
"Good." I said looking back down at the water in front of me.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
