《Outta Her System》Chapter Seven - Whatever You Need

"What's on yo' mind, fool?"
I snapped out of my thoughts before looking up at Bean, who was giving me a weird look.
I shook my head, "Ah whole lot of shit."
For the last two weeks I've been keeping my distance from Lanae. I had several reasons why, though. First, I was planning a big ass surprise party for her, which would be taking place this Saturday. Second, I've been working on bailing her dad out of jail. Third and final reason is because I just been busy working.
"What you trippin' off 'em lil' niggas," Bean questioned, mentioning the teenagers who was trying to start a gang.
I smacked my lips, "Nigga, fuck outta here. I'll murk 'em lil' mothafuckas one by one."
"Aight then, wassup?"
He sat down beside me and waited on me to start talking.
"I just got ah lot goin' on, right now," I admitted.
He was quiet for a split second before he spoke again, "Aww shit," he smiled causing me to throw a confused look his way, "my nigga you finally realized you wanna fuck wit' my sis Nae."
"Nigga no," I busted out laughing causing his smile to drop. I held my stomach as I fell onto the floor cause I was laughing so hard.
"Fool don't try to play my sis," Bean stale faced me.
I sighed after I got done laughing and hopped back on the couch.
"I ain't tryna play Lanae, I'm just weak off of you, my nigga. You was so geeked," I chuckled.
"I mean, yeah. I'm tired of y'all playin' games and shit," he stated.
"What games Bean?"
"Dumb ass games. Actin' like y'all ain't got feelings for each other, but y'all really do. Shit is annoying."
I shook my head, "I mean, I'll admit Lanae is sexy ass hell, no lie. But I don't see her in that way, B."
"Yeah right, nigga," Bean smacked his lips while waving me off, "you'll see her in that way when it's too late."
I laughed and shrugged. You never know what the future holds.
"So wassup wit' you then," he questioned again.
I sighed, "Well I'm busy wit' plannin' this party for Nae, but that's not really what I'm stressin' 'bout."
Bean blinked, "What is it then, nigga? You stallin'!"
"Chill yo' ass out, nigga. I'm stressin' cause I'm suppose to be goin' to jail fo-"
"Jail!"
Bean hopped up off the couch so fast.
"You ain't finna go to jail, on my momma son. I'll murk all of 'em donut eatin' mothafuckas before they lock another one of my niggas up," he said before pulling out his gun and taking it off of safety.
"Sit yo' ass down! I ain't goin' no where fool," I laughed at his dumb ass.
"Omari, man," he said, using my full name letting me know that he was dead ass, "you just fuckin' said you was gon' go to jail, so what the fuck you talkin' 'bout?"

"Nigga I'm goin' to jail to bail Lanae's dad out," I informed.
"Oh shit, for real?"
"Yeah, she been stressin' 'bout him being in there, so I found out how much he needed to get out. Turns out I got enough money to make that happen."
"Damn that's wassup nigga," Bean nodded his head, "but you see what I'm talkin' 'bout?"
"What," I asked, confused as fuck.
"You love Lanae, you see how quick you be to do shit for her. You goin' out of yo' way just to make sure she good."
True, I thought.
"You right," I admitted, "but I love her as ah best friend. It's my job to make sure she straight."
He smacked his lips, "Best friends my ass."
I laughed while shaking my head, "Shut yo' ass up, but aye? Did you check up on her for me?"
"Yeah, I spoke to her and Queen the other day and she was fuckin' heated. Nae mad at yo' ass."
I groaned, "Didn't you tell her I was busy?"
"Hell yeah, but she ain't give ah fuck. She almost cussed my ass out," he chuckled, "you gon' have to go see her."
"Yeah, I'll go see her after I bail her dad out," I said.
"When you doin' that?"
I pulled out my phone and noticed it was about to be 12.
"I'm finna head out now, I'll hit chu' up later," I said while getting up and slapping hands with him.
"Aight, G. Tell yo' father in law I said wassup when he get out," he smirked causing me to shake my head.
Once I was outside of the trap, I quickly got inside of my car and pulled off.
***
After the long process of paying for Lanae's dad's bail, I was finally waiting for him to walk outside of the building as I stood by my car.
I soon noticed a man that looked a lot like Lanae walk outside with a bag in his hand. I made my way over to him as he looked at me with confusion.
"What's good? You, Nate Roberts right," I questioned.
"Yeah, call me Rob. You, Lucky," he asked, surprising me cause we never met before.
"Yeah, how you know?"
"Oscar. He let me know that you was payin' me ah visit, but I ain't know yo' ass was gon' bail me out."
I chuckled, "Yeah I ain't tell nobody about it, except for my nigga Bean. I wanted everything to be ah surprise."
He nodded his head, "Well shit.. nigga you damn sure surprised my ass, but aye check this out, let's get the fuck up outta here. Ah nigga ain't tryna see this place for another second, you feel me?"
"Hell yeah," I said while nodding my head.
We both hopped inside of my car before I sped away from the prison.
"So why you free me? I know you heard of me and you run the gang I created now, but we never met before, so wassup?"

I shrugged while keeping my eyes on the road, "I mean.. I never met you before, but I met Lieashia and she use to talk about you all the time whenever Nae wasn't around."
"Yeah," I heard him sigh, "that was my queen."
I knew he was still hurt about her death, so I changed the subject, "But I really had to bail you out cause you was startin' to stress Lanae out."
"Oh, so that's what it is," he paused, "you fuckin' wit' my baby girl?"
My eyes grew wide and I took a quick glance at him, "Nah, I got ah girl friend. I just really care about Lanae, she like my best friend."
I hope I ain't sound like no damn bitch, I hoped inside of my head.
"Mm I see," he laughed, "for y'all to only be best friends, you sure do care ah lot my nigga."
"She was like my sister back in the day," I said trying to make him understand the type of relationship we had.
"So what changed?"
"Time."
"I bet it did," I could basically hear the smirk in his voice.
I changed the subject.. kinda, "Well since we talkin' 'bout Lanae, I need you to do me ah favor."
"What is it," he questioned.
"Well.. I was plannin' this surprise party for her and it was gon' be this Saturday. I was hopin' you would see her for the first time there, so it would be more special," I informed.
He was silent for a quick second before he spoke again, "You basically want me to wait until Saturday to see my baby girl?"
"Yes."
He sighed lowly, "Her ass gon' be mad, but I'll wait until Saturday. I gotta get myself settled anyway."
"I appreciate it, man."
"Nah, real talk? I appreciate you for bein' there for my family and takin' over Slum Money. I know it's ah handful, but trust me lil' nigga I appreciate everything you then did for me."
"It's all good," I truthfully said.
"So what's goin' on wit' Lanae now? I haven't talked to her this week," he asked.
"Me either. I've been too busy and now she mad at ah nigga."
"She gettin' mad over stupid shit like that? Best friends my ass," he mumbled the last part causing me to chuckle.
He sound just like Bean's ass.
"Aye, yo!"
I heard a familiar deep voice yell as a car pulled up beside me.
I looked over at Omari who was staring at me before rolling my eyes and continued walking.
"Lanae get in the car," he demanded.
"Oh, now you know me? You know what.. fuck you Omari," I spat as I began to speed walk.
"Girl you better get in this car," he warned causing me to stop in my tracks.
"Or what, huh?"
I stood, facing his Audi, with my arms crossed as I mugged him. I felt my heartbeat speed up as I watched him get out the car before strutting towards me. Once he was standing right in front of me I was glaring up at him.
He leaned down a little and whispered in my ear, "I'm not fuckin' playin' wit' you, Lanae. You either get in this damn car or I swear tu vas le regretter."
My breathing quickened as he leaned back up before walking away from me. I looked at him in awe, wondering how he could make me mad at him for weeks then magically show up and turn me on. It wasn't fair.
I rolled my eyes as I heard him beep his horn causing me to walk over to his car. When I got in, I slammed the door shut causing him to look at me like I was crazy.
"You better chill the fuck out Lanae before you really get me tight."
I didn't say anything. Not a word.
I heard him sigh after a few seconds before he pulled off and began to drive.
"Why the fuck was you out here at the park by yourself," he asked.
"Because I can do what I want and I wanted to be left alone," I spat.
"Lose the attitude, Lanae."
I quickly glanced at him before looking out the window.
After a few minutes of silence I spoke, "Queen told you where I was?"
"Yeah, I ended up callin' her phone since you blocked my number."
"Mm," I hummed.
"I like how you ain't got no make up on right now. You look cute."
I ignored him.
"I see how you wearin' yo' hair wavy today."
Ignore.
"Lanae, don't be mad at ah nigga. I've been busy workin' and shit, I would've called you if I had the time, Nae."
"Omari, all you had to do was send me ah quick text tellin' me you would be busy. You had me worryin' 'bout chu' while you were ignorin' me."
"I wasn't ignorin' you."
"So what the fuck you call pickin' up yo' phone, seein' my message, and not respondin'?"
All he did was blow out a breath.
"That's what I thought, but it's all good. You ain't gotta talk to me ever again," I shrugged my shoulders like I didn't care.
"Nae, shut yo' cry baby ass up," he looked over and smirked at me before glancing back at the road.
"Nah, you shut the fuck up."
"You and that mouth, man," he laughed while shaking his head.
I ignored him once again.
"But I'm sorry for ignorin' you. I ain't mean to for real, but I've been busy honestly."
"Okay Omari," I mumbled, still pissed off.
"If you forgive me, I'll give you whatever you want," he said causing me to smile.
"Whatever I want, huh?"
"Yeah."
And that's exactly what he did, he gave me whatever I wanted. Subway.
