《My Mate the Wanderer》23. Blue eyes

As we walked out of the school my head started to get foggy as Accalia pushed harder and harder to get free.
We made our way to the edge of the surrounding woods and walked in until we were out of sight.
Once we were deep enough in Tyler took off in the direction of his house.
I quickly followed as I relaxed and let Accalia take some of the control of me so we could follow his scent.
No matter how fast we ran we couldn't seem to catch sight of him, but we pushed on nevertheless.
We ran harder until we finally found Tyler leaning against a tree.
I tried to take back control from Accalia but she wouldn't stand down.
I fought against her as we sauntered towards our mate.
The closer we got the less I wanted to fight her.
She knew that we both wanted to be close to him, to feel his skin on our skin.
"Do you even know how tempting you are to me?" He said huskily.
I silently walked closer as I stared intently at his lips.
I desperately wanted to find out if they were as soft as they looked.
I could feel a low hum coming off of my chest as I stood only a few inches in front of him.
"Don't tempt me little one." He breathed out.
Even the sound of his voice seemed to call out to me.
Tyler reached for my face and gently caressed my cheek.
I was finally able to snatch back control from Accalia.
I wasn't about to let her have all the fun.
I stood up on my toes and lightly pressed a kiss against his lips.
A low growl escaped his lips and he quickly grabbed me around my waist and pushed my back against the tree.

Tyler deepened the kiss as I moaned into it.
Sparks were flying through my body like an electric charge as his tongue grazed the outside edge of my lip asking for entrance.
I could feel my heart race as I pulled him closer and wove my fingers into his hair.
Suddenly Tyler pulled away from me and took several steps back.
When I was able to collect myself I looked up to see that Tyler's eyes weren't the same brown that they normally were.
They weren't even the same black color as when his wolf took over, but they were instead black with his irises a bright and striking blue.
"I have to go." Tyler said in a raspy voice.
"Go where?" I asked breathlessly.
"I need to go hunt before I do something stupid." He said as he took another step back.
I didn't understand what he meant.
As soon as I opened my mouth to speak he was gone.
He moved so quickly that my eyes couldn't even see his movement.
I sighed as I leaned against the tree.
That was such an amazing first kiss and it was cut way to short due to the fact that we're supernatural freaks.
I slowly headed back towards the school to meet up with Nate since school should be ending in about 30 minutes.
Once I followed our scent trail back to the school I waited in the tree line for the final bell to ring.
I could still smell Tyler on me from our hot exchange which made me smile a little bit to myself.
All the while I could feel Accalia's wolfy grin heating up my mind.
When the bell rang I walked out from the tree line to wait for Nate.
Hopefully Tyler would be back soon to give us a ride back to his house.

After waiting for a few minutes I saw Jenna and Nate walking out of the school side by side.
I groaned inwardly as I plastered on my best smile, I was so not looking forward to this conversation with Nate.
"Hey Aubree!" Jenna said in a chipper voice. "I was just talking to your little brother here about why you guys moved down here! I didn't know your dad was an author."
"Ya, he is a great writer. I can let you borrow some his books some time if your interested." Nate said back to her.
"I'd love that." She said charismatically. "Well I guess I'll see you two tomorrow."
With that she turned and jogged back towards a large group of people that I assume were from her pack.
"Are you ready to go?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yup, I'm as ready as can be." Nate said with a small smirk tugging at the corner or his mouth.
"Alright then, we can talk in the woods while we wait for Tyler since he's our ride back." I said as I headed back in the direction that I came from.

My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe...
Xavier had a happy, humdrum life: normal friendships, a normal girlfriend, a somewhat oddball family. Until, that is, he literally stumbled through the fourth wall and discovered he was the protagonist of a manga. Now he's scrambling to maintain any semblance of control over his own life in the face of something he never imagined he would need to contend with: the power of the Genre. Hello, E.O. Tenkey here; thank you for your interest in "Not A Manga"! This was my first serial novel, and I hope you enjoy Xavier's predicament! Familiarity with manga not required (though it can't hurt)! I look forward to exploring the bounds of the Genre with you. (First volume is rated PG-13 for comic mayhem and light profanity—these are high school students, after all. Second volume is rated PG-13 to R for some violence and similar levels of profanity. Tags may or may not contain spoilers.)
