The only thing I could do was sit inside and wait.

I could see the sun fading behind the tree tops.

Worry was slowly overcoming me, 'Tyler could at least check in here so that I know he is alright.'

The frustration was killing me and making it impossible to follow his instruction to stay inside.

Luckily my parents hadn't been planning to go out today so nobody had made any moves to leave the house.

Not knowing if he was ok was killing me inside.

I felt like my heart was being ripped out.

Every fiber of my being was telling me to make sure he was safe.

I tried desperately for hours to relax myself and keep myself distracted, but since it was getting dark outside my worry only seemed to rise.

'He never said anything about how long he would be gone! I don't even understand why he had to leave in the first place.' I thought to myself.

I knew with how serious the look on his face was that something must be really wrong.

He must be a damn crazy person to go wondering around when he knew something was off.

Darkness had set in outside and I was seriously considering going out to look for him.

I must have lost my mind to even consider leaving the house when it's this dark out, but I needed to know that he's safe.

I went into the downstairs closet to grab a flashlight and my jacket.

'Come on girl, you can do this. Just go track him down quickly and bring him back here so that you know that he is safe.' I chanted to myself.

I'm not going to let my fears of what may or may not even be out there scare me away from making sure that he is alright.

I quietly slipped out the back door to the house so that my parents wouldn't hear me leave and flipped on my flashlight as I made my way into the darkened woods.

Ever little noise left me on edge, even just the crinkling of grass under my feet made my body go on high alert.

The only place I could think to go was the clearing.

Maybe Tyler went back there to get his backpack.

Maybe he would be there now.

It would probably be the best chance I had of finding him.

As I walked in the darkness with the beam of my flashlight leading the way I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched.

I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up alerting me to trouble, but I knew that I needed to press onward.

As I reached the clearing and walked toward the stream all of Tyler's belonging we still where he had left them.

I could feel the panic rising up in my throat when I heard a loud growling coming from behind me.

I quickly swung my body around and pointed my flashlight into the tree line where a set a deep yellow eyes stared back at me.

Fear started to overtake me as I let out a pathetic whimper.

'I'm going to die' was all that ran through my head.

The yellow eyes came closer and emerges from the darkness.

They belonged to a large matted brown wolf that stood over 5 feet tall.

It was easily the biggest animal I have ever come face to face with.

It slowly sauntered towards me, it almost appeared to have a wicked looking grin on its face.

A grin that would send even the most experienced woodsmen into a blind panic.

I slowly tried to take a few steps back, preparing myself to run in the opposite direction, but as soon as the menacing wolf saw me start to make a move a low growl erupted from its throat and it dashed straight towards me.

Before I could even process what was happening I could feel it's teeth connecting with my left shoulder.

A wail of pain escaped my mouth. I couldn't move as I was trapped under the massive brown wolf, it had me pinned to the ground and left me no chance of getting away.

I swung my free hand at the wolfs snout and made connection, but to no avail, my punches didn't even seem to phase the thing.

'This is it. I'm going to die out here tonight.'

I had completely given up when suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw another massive wolf sprinting towards us.

'I'm going to be two hungry wolfs dinner tonight' I though as tears slipped out of my eyes.

The large wolf that was dashing towards me loudly growled and to my surprise body checked that wolf that was pinning me down to the ground.

The matted brown wolf released me as he got thrown down to the ground of the clearing.

My shoulder had been released but now I could feel it getting hot, blood was running down it and onto the grass below me.

I quickly put my hand into it to help ease the pain and to stop the bleeding.

My vision had become cloudy because the the tears in my eyes, I blinked them away as best as I could.

As I lifted my head off the ground I could see the hind legs of a massive black wolf.

This ones coat more sleek but still messy like the brown ones.

It tilted its large head towards me and I could see its full black eyes giving me a look of what appeared to be sadness.

It's head quickly snapped to the ugly brown wolf and it let out a deafening growl.

The black wolf quickly charged at the other one, moving so quickly that I could barely trace its movements.

I watched in horror and the wolves bodies slammed into each other.

I knew that now was my chance to get away but my body was becoming numb.

I desperately tried to get myself to my feet but my body wouldn't cooperate.

I crumpled back down to the ground, I had clearly lost too much blood to move.

All I could do was stay here and wait for my end.

Suddenly I heard a loud snapping noise, a noise that I knew as nothing other then the sound of breaking bones.

I quickly looked at the two wolves that had now stilled.

The matted brown wolf now laying motionless on the ground with the larger black one standing overtop of it.

I could feel my vision fading, I knew I was going to pass out soon.

The black wolf slowly turned around to face me, the saddened look still clear in his eyes.

It approached me cautiously, as if trying to judge my reaction to it.

Even with how cautiously it approached I could help but flinch back from it, these were clearly creatures of nightmares.

The black wolf stopped as I flinched, and slowly lowered itself down to the ground and let out a whimper.

Maybe it's was trying to show me that it didn't mean me any harm?

I could feel myself growing dizzy as I looked at it.

The wolf slowly stood up and walked towards me.

I no longer had enough in me to move or even react to it.

The wolf towered over me but to my surprise didn't attack, it only put it's snout against my neck and nuzzled me.

Strangely enough it made me feel safe.

I could feel my body start to relax when I suddenly heard many popping sounds coming from the wolf next to me.

I snapped my head in its direction, only to be surprise to not find a wolf but a fully nude Tyler.

I could feel myself break out into a cold sweat.

Why is Tyler here?

Where did the wolf go?

My vision started to go dark and I slipped into unconsciousness.
