《HUNGRY EYES || J.JK × Reader ✔》chapter 28 | Unconscious

"I love your flared trousers, it fits you a lot," he compliments her, doing the job I should do. "Thank you," she takes it without ignoring him like she would have done it if it was from me. "Jungkook suggested me to wear this."
"Oh, really?" he peeks at me, and a smile grows on my face in an instant. "Yep. I wanted to be comfortable for tonight, so that's a great outfit."
"Being comfortable always comes first, that's why I wear hoodies all the time," he talks to her to not remain quiet, both having a conversation together. "Hoodies are the best," she agrees with him, and I smile, even though I am not speaking. They both get along so well, this makes me happy. "I know right, I could live the rest of my life with them only."
"What about your pants?" I add something dumb but true, and y/n chuckles. "Well...an oversized hoodie doesn't need pants."
"Sure," I do not remark a point that could make y/n uncomfortable and keep to myself the fact that something would be dangling out of it. "I mean, I say that, but I know I'd be wearing pants all the time."
"Why?" she asks, unaware of his insecurities. "My legs are ugly as fuck. They're too skinny."
"That's not true, skinny legs are so pretty too, and honestly it doesn't matter how they look," she finds the right words to make him feel more confident about his body, and the small curve in the corner of his lips that just appeared on his face melts my heart. "I don't know...many girls tell me that I should work out and gain some weight because a skinny boy isn't what girls want."
"That's not true. What kind of girl do you hang out with? And haven't you heard about what they all say about the skinny guys?" she mentions something I think I know about, and Hojun stutters. "Uh...No."
"Well, you'll go and check on social media," she does not dare to say it, acting shy after being the one to bring this up. "Tell him, he wants to know now," I do not do her a favor but dig her grave deeper, and she grins. "No."
"Come on, tell me!" Hojun demands to get the answer, but she giggles and punches me when he is the one speaking. "Tell him since you know too!"
"I don't know anything," I lie and leave her into this, getting revenge for all the things she does to me. "I hate you..."
"You're the one who brought this up!" I put the blame on her, but she crosses her arms and refuses to accept it. "It's just..." she looks up at him, all of us walking at a slow pace. "You know...like..." she holds one hand up and drags his attention over his body. "Let me say it in your ear," she stops it to not let us hear her but gets close to him and speaks with one hand on the side of his ear.
As soon as she lets it out of her mouth, he scoffs and goes back on the way. "Yeah...I know someone who's not skinny but who's got a big one, so this is not true."
"And who's that someone?" I flex in front of her, knowing who he is talking about, but he glares at me. "You, fucker."

"Me?" I pretend to be surprised, laying my hand over my chest. "Not even."
"Shut up," he does not enjoy this conversation, but I laugh. "Guys, my friend should be here in some minutes. Can we wait for him in front of the restaurant?" Kimoon asks his question but seems off compared to usually. "Sure," Hojun nods, but I do not glance away and brush this off. "What's wrong with you lately? Are you mad at any of us, or did something happen?"
"No, there's nothing wrong," he does not tell the truth, avoiding a certain subject I am not aware of. "Sure?" I push a little further to get him to feel like he has all my attention, to show him that I care, but he smiles and affirms what he said. "Sure."
"Alright, if you say so," I give up on trying since he obviously does not want to spill it out, and I focus back on y/n and Hojun, who are chatting without taking a break. "Here we are," Hojun stops us in front of a place, and I take a look at the sign since I have never been to this one. "When is this guy gonna be here?"
"In short minutes, he said," he tells us, and I lean back on the wall to wait. I set all my attention on the two chatterboxes. "Baby," I trap my tongue piercing between my teeth but see them both turn their heads towards me. "I knew it," I smile, but y/n comes towards me. "I'm your baby, and he's your baby boy, alright?"
I raise my eyebrows out of great astonishment but feel the relief run through me. I cannot believe she accepts this, even after our kiss, she does not mind me calling him my baby boy when she is my girlfriend?
"Alright," I wrap my arms around her and press a kiss on her lips but make it brief since we are not alone. "Ew. Too much love, disgusting," Hojun dares to judge, so I look at him and ask him to repeat those words. "Excuse me? You know what I'm capable of doing in front of you if you say that again."
"Yeah..." he glares at me and forgets what he was about to say. "That's what I thought," I run my fingers through y/n's hair as she is still hugging me, but I check on Hojun, fearing that he might feel left out because of this new relationship.
Seeing him look small in his oversized hoodie, his hands in the front pocket, alone on his spot, with his eyes avoiding us, I cannot help but feel a slight hint of stinging pain in my chest.
I lower my hands to y/n's hips and hold them behind her back to hug her back, and I look at her features, but she steps back to break the embrace.
She might want to avoid doing this in front of Hojun.
"I'm freezing so bad right now..." Hojun complains, hating this weather and the fact that we have to wait outside. "Get in with y/n and take a table," I tell him to do, not wanting him to catch a cold. "I'm okay. I just hope he's not—"
"Not you're not, get inside with him," I take y/n's hand to ask her to do it, and she helps me. "Let's get in already," she gestures him to follow her, and he steps towards her to enter the place together and make me happy.

"Who's the guy? Have we already talked to him?" I question him about this friend. "Yes, it's the blond guy that has already hung out with us once."
"Oh yeah, I remember him," I think back on one of the nights we spent with him, and I do not fear anything since from what I recalled, he is a good and calm person. "I expected you to bring a girl, I'm surprised."
"Shut up. I barely hang out with girls because they often misunderstand it for a date and think I have feelings for them, then they get heartbroken," he states sad facts, and I chuckle, knowing what he means by that. "Yeah."
"What about that foreign girl who I often see with you? The one with green eyes?" I attempt to converse more, seeing that he is not acting like usual and trying to get to relax him and talk about the issue. "She's just a friend, and she's the one coming up to me, but I don't know, I'm just not feeling anything more than what a friend feels."
"Why?" I hardly believe this is possible since they are often chatting and teasing each other. "Well, that's just how I feel. I don't see myself falling in love with her. She's a good person but not the type of girl I like. She likes to get go to nightclubs, get drunk, party, and hang out with fuckboys a little too much. That's why I'm never the one to ask to spend time with her.
"Ah, I understand then," I do not ask any question anymore but look in the direction his are fixed. "He's here," he notices him, and after a few steps, I catch sight of his blond hair. Finally.
"Hey," he smiles at Kimoon and peeks at me, and we both greet each other. "Sorry for being late."
"No worries, let's get in," I push the door to enter the restaurant and look for my girl and Hojun. Once I make eye contact with y/n, I smile and join them both. I sit down next to her to have her on my left, and Hojun gets on a chair on the right side of the table to be next to me as well.
"Hey, nice to meet you, I'm Doyun," the blonde guy bows to her, before sitting in front of us with Kimoon. "Hey, I'm y/n," she smiles at him and nods to return the respectful gesture, and he gazes at Hojun to greet him too.
"Have you looked at the menu?" I address Hojun but put my arm behind y/n's back to rest it on the chair, and he nods to me. "Yeah. Y/n and I looked for something to eat for dinner, and we're gonna order some steak, kimchi, rice, with cabbage, and you all decide the drinks you want."
"Who pays for all that though? You're not treating us, right?" Kimoon grabs the menu, but the boy in question leans back on his chair and shrugs. "I am. Why?"
"Bro, it's gonna cost so much, let me pay with Doyun, you won't have enough money to buy chocolate milk," he smirks, knowing what his priorities are. "Alright, if you want to, I'm not gonna refuse," he does not argue like he would have done it with me, and I chuckle at his sly grin.
I do not say anything about the fact that I will get paid tomorrow and be able to put money on his bank account, I lay my eyes on y/n for no other purpose than simply gaze at her and revel in the positive effect she has on me, but she takes her jacket off and drags my attention down to her small cleavage that looks deeper from my point of view.
Willing to have manners and not be this type of guy, I glance away from her breasts and hold back from imaging what I would want to do with them.
"So, what are the drinks you all want?" Hajoon clears my mind from the nasty stuff that always travels around it, and y/n and I both answer the same, while Kimoon and his friend say something else.
"Alright," he nods but clears his voice, but I stare at him, expecting what is going to happen in a few seconds. As soon as he locks eyes with me, I scoff but know that I have to order for him.
He does not mind acting fool and talking about the weirdest stuff in public, but once he has to order, buy, or be serious with strangers, everything changes.
I make it quick to order for everyone, and Hojun goes back to talking with y/n.
Everything is going so well between us, so well that it feels odd and suspicious. I cannot believe that the girl I am head over heels in love with does not mind the closeness between Hojun and I, not even the kisses, the hugs, the touches, and nicknames.
I am happy about it, but I wonder how possible it is to be that lucky to find a girl like that. Pretty, cute, funny, playful, kind, sweet, understanding, and I could go on. So whether I do not understand how girls work, or she is a special one, or she is hiding something from me, or she is simply into polygamy but with other guys only.
"Do you play video games?" he asks us while toying with his new keychain, but I keep an eye on where both of his go now that y/n took her jacket off, just in case. "Yeah, sometimes when I'm not doing my assignments or studying. I already know that you love games though," she remarks in a tender voice, and he conceals the pleasure it brought him to get to know that she remembers what he tells her. "I'm a gamer, it just makes me feel so good unless I'm raging like hell and blowing a fuse."
"Do you play on a computer or Playstation like Jungkook?" she crosses her legs, and I notice Doyun speaking to Kimoon, our five people group splitting into three, both of them talking, my two precious humans exchanging many opinions and passions together, meanwhile, I am just listening and enjoying.
"I play on a computer all the time, the mouse and keyboard are on another level," he starts a fight that I will not even chime in since I do not share the same thought. It happened many times, we never let the other be right about it, to me, the controller is much better, and I am right no matter what. "True, I love playing with a mouse and keyboard too. It feels better."
"I know, right?" he turns his head in my direction and smirks. "Uh? What do you think about it, Jungkook?"
"I do not think anything about this uninteresting topic," I poke my inner cheek with my tongue, and the material of my piercing slightly brush over my teeth. "Hm. Sure."
"Bro!" someone grasps all of our attention in a mere second, and this unknown guy makes Doyun react with cheer. "Hey! I didn't expect you to be here, join us," he invites his friend that no one here knows, and this one that I do not feel comfortable with sits down next to my girl. "It's Youngsoo, for anyone who has not met him yet," he speaks in a way that makes me believe that Kimoon knows him too, and as soon as he addresses him, I understand that the three of them know each other. "Nice to meet you," I answer as Hojun and y/n do not seem decided to do it.
I feel like it is ruining Hojun's plan that was to gather all his friends together and have a great time.
What an amazing way to make someone regret their kindness.
•••
"Girl, I swear you should try it one day," the loud and outgoing guy suggests to my girlfriend, making us feel pretty comfortable with him, unlike what I expected from him. "I will, it seems cool," she answers but exposes the shyness she feels around people that she does not know.
"We'll play together in my room later," Hojun's sentence reverberates in my head to sound overly wrong, but I remain quiet about it and eat. "I'll lose without practice though."
"Well, are you good at FPS games?" the one, whose name has already been erased by my memory, takes another gulp of his beer, all the guys in here drinking alcohol except for Hojun. "Just fine."
"Then you'll be okay with that one too," he brings his glass down and points his finger at Kimoon, who has already swallowed several beers since we started eating, too many beers and Soju, to be more exact. "Kimoon is good as fuck at it, he'll teach you if Hojun isn't."
"I'm good too though, better than this guy," my boy finally compliments himself and shows some confidence. "Yeah. I can confirm this. He's better," I take part in this, and y/n looks at him with a smile upon his face. "I know he is."
"You're gonna be a pro because of me, don't worry," he shoves a piece of cabbage with meat in his mouth. "But what if I play against you?" she leans over the table to grab the glass bottle of Sprite that is in the middle of it, and she gets the bottle-opener. "Uhm. I'll see. Depends on your level and skills."
"If I'm bad as heck?" she attempts to get him to show his soft side and tell her he would let her win, but once the other guy makes a joke and gets followed by a cute response from Hojun, I glance up at him as he is still chewing but see from the corner of my eye that Kimoon is looking in my direction.
The sound of Doyun's voice keeping my friends busy, I take a peek at the one who seems focused on me, his arm resting on the back of the blond boy's chair, some unpleasant feelings run through me once I notice that his eyes were not on me but y/n's cleavage.
I convince myself to not get upset since he is a man and that I know how hard it is to not look at her, and since it was a quick glance that did not last longer than one second, I deal with it and hope it does not happen again.
He is not even on his right mind anyway.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
