Namjoon was the fifth Alpha Jimin had dated and the omega was tired of relationships. If it was up to him, he'd just stop trying to get into any entanglement but his mother was seriously on his neck to start a family soon.

"You're not getting any younger Jimin, your mates have two to five pups already but you're still single". Jimin's mother would complain endlessly.

After his second breakup with an Alpha called Yoongi, everything went downhill when the alpha left him and it became an impossible task to be in a long-lasting relationship.

Jimin took a cab back to the house and quietly walked in looking like a hot mess, exhausted and ready to give up on life. He just wanted to go into his room and lock himself up in the bathroom and cry his heart out.

"Jimin?" Taehyung called out when he saw the Omega. "Mum said you wouldn't return today. Your date didn't go well?" Taehyung continued.

Jimin sighed and gazed at the Alpha like a zombie. His mind was messed up and he was heartbroken.

"Jimin is everything okay?" Taehyung slowly walked up to him.

"It hurts so much". Jimin finally let out his tears and dropped down to the floor of the living room.

Taehyung quickly knelt in front of the crying Omega and pulled him into a hug whether he knew what had happened or not.

"Hey hey, look at me. Whatever it is, I promise you it'll be fine. Stop crying first and talk to me" Taehyung held Jimin so protectively and immediately released his calming pheromones.

"Namjoon broke up with me ...he left... me...he chose someone else". Jimin cried more as he spoke.

"I knew that bastard was no good". The Alpha said with gritted teeth.

"He found his mate...it hurts a lot Mr. Kim. I am cursed. I have bad luck, I'll never be happy".

"Don't say things like that. You're not cursed. You are perfect and full of positivity. Everything about you is perfect".

"But he left me. maybe I'm not pretty".

"You are prettier than any Omega I've seen".

"Then what's is wrong with me? Why can't they just love me?"

"Jimin stop".

"Do I smell bad? Is my fashion bad? Am I skinny? Do I need to do surgery to change how I look?" Jimin blabbed uncontrollably, not even paying attention to Taehyung.

The Alpha tried to make him shut up but Jimin kept listing all the negative things about himself causing Taehyung to forcefully press his lips on Jimin's.

The whole ranting died down immediately as Taehyung continued to kiss the Omega and gently caress him on the floor where they had sat comfortably.

Jimin didn't understand what he was doing but at that moment he just wanted anything to distract him. The Omega just longed to be wanted by someone, anyone.

Meanwhile, Taehyung kissed him hungrily like it was his last kiss on Earth. It'd been ages since the Alpha kissed or touched anybody and if he didn't control himself, he could do something crazy with Jimin.

Taehyung pulled away from the Omega's lips and helped him get off the floor.

"Do you feel better?" Taehyung asked.

Jimin just stared at the Alpha but didn't answer him. He looked worn out and broken like a discarded device. Taehyung shook his head and lifted the omega on his shoulder before taking him to his room.

"I think you should rest. It'll help you calm down. And don't worry about Maya today, I'll take care of her". Taehyung tucked Jimin into the sheets.

After minutes of silence and muffled sobbing by the Omega, he finally dozed off and Taehyung sighed in relief. It was indeed difficult to calm a heartbroken Omega.

The next couple of days had Jimin looking dead and uninterested in life. He no longer hummed or wiggled when he cooked or cleaned. He no longer had a smile on his face and no matter how many times Taehyung and Mrs. Kim tried to bring the old Jimin back, it just wasn't working.

Jimin's phone rang early in the morning, waking the omega from his sleep. He rubbed his eyes and hissed at whoever it was that was calling. He didn't bother checking the caller ID but the voice he heard was enough for him to know who it was.

"Mother?" Jimin's eyes almost popped out when he looked back at his phone.

"Silly child, I've been trying to reach you. Didn't you say you'd come home last month with your Alpha?" The woman yelled into her phone.

"Mother I have work and there's no time to visit. I'll come home next week". Jimin sighed and rolled his eyes.

"And your Alpha? Did you mate already? Are you carrying pups already? Are you living with him? How is..."

"Mother nothing like that has happened yet. I and Namjoon are..."

"Are coming over?"

"No mother..."

"Did you...break up again?" The woman asked in a low and scary tone.

Jimin was not ready to tell his mother about the breakup. He had told her a lot about Namjoon and the woman had developed a likeness for her supposed future son-in-law. They spoke sometimes on the phone whenever Jimin went to visit Namjoon and she had waited for so long to meet him. He didn't know how to tell her that he messed up again and that there was no Alpha in his life, there would be no mating ceremony, no pregnancy, and no grandchildren for her anytime soon.

"We...we didn't break up. He's just been very busy but we'll try to adjust our schedules and visit soon". Jimin lied.

"I'll visit you in two days. I don't want more excuses. Jimin you are almost 27. Do you want to pass the age of birthing before you find a mate?" The woman yelled continuously.

"Mother no, I told you I'll visit with my Alpha soon". Jimin begged nervously.

"I'm coming over there to see you and Namjoon and you two better have a good reason why you haven't marked each other". The woman hung up angrily.

Jimin threw his phone on the floor and pulled his hair. He didn't know what in the world he was supposed to do about his mother's sudden visit. Was he going to call Namjoon and beg him to pretend they were still dating? Was he supposed to pay someone to act like Namjoon? Or should he just tell the truth?

Two days later, Taehyung was ready to go back to Japan. He was putting his bag in the trunk when a cab dropped someone in front of their house.

It was an alpha and he looked like a rogue. He had full sleeve tattoos on his arm and a lot of piercings Taehyung didn't have time to count.

The stranger passed Taehyung without a single greeting and made his way toward the house. Taehyung felt offended and abandoned what he was doing to confront the strange rogue.

"And you are?" Taehyung asked sternly with a scowl on his face, blocking the stranger from moving further.

"I'm looking for Jimin". The rogue answered and looked at Taehyung from head to toe with a smirk.

"Who are you to Jimin and what do you want from him?" Taehyung sized up the rogue and stood in attack position.

"That's none of your business so get out of my way". The rogue poked Taehyung's chest to show he wasn't afraid of his position.

"You're not going to see Jimin. No alpha is allowed to see Jimin or talk to him or visit him or..."

"I'm not here to fight bro. You're acting like you're his Alpha and I don't know why he'd hire me if he has you already". The rogue raised his hands to show he wasn't a threat.

"What do you mean he hired you?" Taehyung asked.

"He paid me to pretend to be his Alpha when his mother arrives but I got a job to do today and I don't think I can go ahead with his plan, so I'm here to return his money". The rogue explained.

"Jimin paid you to be his Alpha?"

"Just said it, duh. So can I go in now?" The rogue asked.

"No! Give me the money. I'll give it to him myself. You can go". Taehyung pushed the rogue backward.

"Fine, tell him JK returned it". Jk handed him the money and turned around to leave.

Taehyung snatched the money from Jk and watched him go away. When JK had already walked off to some distance, Taehyung called out to him.

"Yo Jk!" The Alpha yelled.

"Yes?" Jk halted and turned to hear what Taehyung had to say.

"Do you have Jimin's phone number?" Taehyung asked.

"Yeah, why?" Jk raised his eyebrow.

"Delete it and block him". Taehyung said and turned his back on JK, not interested in what else the rouge had to say.

Taehyung had a flight to catch but he didn't want to ignore what Jk told him about Jimin's need for a fake mate. He stood in front of Jimin's door for some time, thinking of the best way to approach the issue. Before he could knock, the door swung open, revealing Jimin who was dressed and had his makeup on.

"Mr. Kim, I thought you left already?" Jimin asked surprisingly.

"Come here". Taehyung grabbed the Omega's hand and led him back into the room.
