"We're going out tonight no excuses."

Dean looked up from his sketch book as he sighed. He looked over at Sophie who had sat up from her laying position on the boy's bed.

"Yeah okay," Dean said as he looked back down at the sketch he had been working on since Fulton and Adam had left the room.

Sophie resumed reading the book, The Outsiders, in her hands with a smile. Dean looked over to the girl and smiled as he looked back at the page he was drawing on. He worked on defining the outline of the sketch before working on the little details. Looking back at Sophie, Dean memorized the way she looked holding the book above her as she read. Dean turned back to his sketch as he drew her eyebrows and the slight furrow they had.

"No!"

Dean whipped around in his chair to see tears running down Sophie's cheeks. The girl closed the book and set it to the side, closing her eyes while folding her hands over her stomach.

"Are you okay?" Dean spoke slowly as he gave the girl a confused look.

"No I'm not okay. My boy just died," Sophie sighed deeply as she rolled over and shoved her face in Dean's pillow.

Dean softly chuckled as he closed his sketchbook and made his way to his bed, sitting next to Sophie. He gently rubbed the girl's back as she groaned into the pillow. She turned her face to look at Dean as she wiped under her eyes.

"He really just died. He deserved better."

"I know Soph. I know," Dean chuckled as he continued to rub her back. "How about you save the rest of the book for later and go get ready so we can go out."

Sophie sighed before agreeing and sitting up. She grabbed her book and Dean walked with her to the door where she kissed his cheek quickly before exiting the room. Dean stood frozen for a moment before he heard someone chuckling.

He looked up and saw Luis and Averman watching from their door across the hall. Dean rolled his eyes before closing his door and going to get ready.

Sophie immediately realized she had no idea what to wear and went to Kenny's room and tugged his out and to her room. Kenny laughed as Sophie closed her door and immediately flopped, face first, onto her bed. Kenny raised an eyebrow as he listened to her mumble into her pillow.

"You know I have no idea what you just said, right?" Kenny laughed as she groaned into the pillow.

"I have no idea what to wear. Dean and I are going out and for some reason this time feels different," Sophie spoke after rolling over and looking at the ceiling.

"And why is this time different from all the others?" Kenny smirked as he laid next to his best friend.

"Because I know for a fact that I like him. Now I know that I want to be more than friends and I think he might feel the same. I'm just super nervous because I've never liked someone before. Like at all and it feels so weird. Kenny why does it feel so weird?" Sophie looked over at the boy.

Kenny sighed as he looked at the girl and racked his brain for a way to answer.

"You know I wouldn't know," Kenny said causing the girl to giggle.

Kenny softly smiled at the giggling girl as he fought back a laugh. Sophie flicked his forehead upon seeing his face and looked back at the ceiling. Kenny stood up from the bed and made his way over to Sophie's dresser and opened some of the drawers.

"Overalls or jeans?" Kenny asked after a few minutes of digging through the girl's dresser.

He had two outfits picked out and both had different hairstyles that would go with them. Without looking away from the ceiling Sophie asked which shoes would go with each outfit. Kenny smiled knowing she was going to ask that question.

"Black converse with the jeans and air force ones with the overalls."

"Jeans."

Kenny threw the baggy, blue jeans and the white collared shirt at Sophie before ushering her to the bathroom. When she locked the door, Kenny turned back to the clothes and began folding everything that Sophie wouldn't be wearing. As he put away the last article of clothing that he had taken out, Sophie walked out of the bathroom. Kenny smiled before gesturing to the three sweaters he had laid out for the girl to choose from.

Sophie looked between the black, green, and red sweaters before picking up the green one and slipping it on. Kenny helped her get the collar over the top of it before sitting her on the bed to help with her hair.

Kenny decided to put her hair in a ponytail while using some of her hair from the bottom to create fake bangs. The ponytail covered where they were threading the hair to the front making it one of the two's favorite hairstyles.

"Thank you," Sophie said as she looked up at Kenny who was standing in front of her.

He was combing through the fake bangs he had given her as she spoke. Smiling, the boy told her not to worry about it. Stepping back, Kenny told the girl he was done and began to clean up everything the pair had used. Sophie smiled at her reflection before grabbing her silver necklace and putting on along with a few rings.

"Look at you!" Julie said as she walked into the room.

Sophie smiled and flushed slightly as she looked at Julie. Kenny hugged his best friend and winked before leaving the room, going to his own. After a few minutes of chatting with Julie, there was a knock on the door and Sophie stood up from her bed.

"Hey you ready to go?" Dean asked.

As Sophie opened the door she saw both Dean and her brother and she blinked in surprise. Her smile faltered slightly before going back to the same wide smile she had when she opened the door.

"Yeah, yeah. Let's go," Sophie shook her head slightly as she stepped out the door with small smile on her face.

The three walked to the elevator and made their way down to the ground floor. Sophie led the two down the street and a couple blocks away where they were sure that they wouldn't be caught out after curfew. The two boys had spent the past ten minutes flirting with girls they saw as the three walked causing Sophie to roll her eyes. As she watched the two flirt with another pair of girls, Sophie bumped into a brunette boy.

"Oh god I'm so sorry," Sophie panicked as she looked up at the boy.

"No it's fine. I'm Reggie and you're really pretty," the boy spoke normally until he looked at the girl and his eyes widened.

The girl giggled as she looked down before looking back up.

"I'm Sophie. Sorry I, uh, bumped into you," the girl spoke as Reggie smiled at her.

"It's fine. So what brings you to Sunset Boulevard?"

Sophie explained to the boy that she was in town for the junior olympics which made the boy perk up. When questioned about what sport she played Sophie responded with hockey.

"I knew you looked familiar," Reggie smiled. "I saw your team in the paper the other day."

Sophie chuckled before questioning what he was doing on Sunset Boulevard. He explained that him and his band were attempting to get more gigs. Apparently their idea was to play in front of and in the back of clubs to get gigs at those clubs.

"Bassists are my type," Sophie shrugged with a quick wink before noticing Dean and Fulton walking over to her. "If you ever find yourself at a game or want to hang out sometime I'll be at the stadium."

Dean and Fulton walked up to the pair, Dean wrapping his arm around Sophie. The girl rolled her eyes jokingly to Reggie who laughed and gave her an awkward fist bump before making his way down the street where he met back up with his friends.

"Who was that?" Dean asked as the three continued down the street, the opposite way Reggie went.

"Some guy I bumped into. He's in a band," Sophie spoke before pointing to an ice cream shop. "Ice cream?"

Dean and Fulton both agreed with the girl and they went to walk into the shop until they saw something. More like someone. Coach Bombay was walking out of the ice cream shop with the lady the three knew was with Iceland. The two were talking and seemed to be on a date.

"Some coach we've got," Dean muttered before walking away.

Sophie sighed as her and Fulton followed. Suddenly none of them felt like ice cream anymore.
