Continued from the previous part...

Bondita had sat in the car and was thinking about how would she manage to drive all over to the hospital in the storming rain. But still, as it is said that problems bring out a whole new human from inside us, she too had to venture this fear of hers.

She looked back at Anirudh once and that look at her husband gave her all the energy and courage to face anything.

She started the engine and the car started to move at a normal speed. She decided not to hurry.

'Better late then never' she thought what Anirudh had told her once and drove to the hospital. The rain was terrifying! The thunders that broke every now and then. The loud, sky shuttering sounds of the thunder scared her to the core and she just wanted to hug her Pati Babu and cry.

But she had no time to think. She increased the speed a bit and drove to the hospital. On reaching she saw Dr. Ganguly waiting for them impatiently. As soon as he saw their car he took his umbrella and along with a ward boy, came to them. Bondita too got down and held the door open for Anirudh.

"I am so proud of you Bahu rani!" Ganguly smiled and helped his ward boy to take Anirudh inside. Bondita followed and waited outside, at the reception.

The doctor was treating Anirudh and her prayers didnt pause. She very well knew that he was gonna be alright, but still there was an evident fear and apprehension that covered her mind and soul.

Her lips moved continuously in an inaudible prayer and she just walked to and fro in tension.

After almost half an hour Dr. Ganguly came out of the room and she rushed to him.

"He is absolutely fine beta!... The wound wasn't much deep, but its just he has lost blood. So he needs to rest completely for atleast a week." He said

"Thankyou!.. Thankyou so much uncle!... And you dont worry, I'll take care of him. You just prescribe the required medicines, please." She said thanking him with a bright smile.

"No need for that. I'll send them with someone tomorrow. The rain has stopped and its the best that you two leave as early as possible." He said with a smile and kept his hand on her head.

"Abd Bondita beta, I am really proud of you!... You have been really brave and strong throughout the whole situation. May God Bless You!" He patted her head and said lovingly.

After he left Bondita thanked her Dugga Maa for saving her husband and made an unconscious Anirudh sit in the car with the help of a nurse.

On the way back to hone, Bondita just kept thanking her Dugga Maa and drove slowly to home. They reached home and she made him lie in the guest room, on the ground floor itself. He was unconscious and she couldn't manage to take him on the first floor.

Ahe rushed to her room and changing her saree, she brought another set of clothes for him. His clothes were not dirty, but still they had returned from the hospital, so they needed to be changed.

Bondita went near him and slowly slid down his shirt. Anirudh was fast asleep due to effect of the injection that th doctor gave him.

Bondita went down and unbuckling his belt, she slid down his trousers too. She couldn't do much, so she decided to make him wear his night robe that he had brought from London.

Changing his clothes and keeping away the dirty ones in the laundry, she sat beside him on the bed. She was extremely tired. All the tension had not given her much tine to relax and think about her pain. But now when everything was fine and she had nothing much to do, her mind was remembered by all the fears she had experienced that day.

She looked at his sleeping face with all her love. Raising her hand, she cupped his cheek and slowly figer- brushed his hair.

"I won't fight with you ever Pati Babu!... Today, I came accross a new fear... The fear of loosing you. Though, this fear was always in my heart, but my trust never lets me worry.

On this day, I realised that how unpredictable life is! And I just dont want anything bad happen to anyone!" She said and wraped her arms around him, laying her head on his chest and listening to his heartbeat. She cried, like a baby. Her tears flowing down, and wetting his robe.

Suddenly Anirudh moved a bit and she realised she had been laying like tht for a long tine now. She lifted her head and covered him with the blanket.

Bondita slowly walked to the other side of the bed and lied beside him. She touched his bandage gently and kissed his forehead. Lying beside him, she wrapped her arm around him and slept hugging him tightly.

The next morning, she woke up and got ready to the morning aarti. Before going out of the room, she went to him and brushed his hair softly, caressing his hair.

After she had done with the morning aarti, Koyeli brought their breakfast and Bondita sat beside Anirudh.

She gently brushed her hand on his forehead and tried waking him up.

"Pati babu, wake up... Its morning!" She said softly. Anirudh moved in his sleep a bit, but didnt wake up. She too didnt want to wake him up, but he needed to eat and have his medicines. Dr. Ganguly had sent his medications early in the morning.

She sat their brushing his forehead for a long time, when finally he woke up. He held her hand, with his eyes still closed and murmured, "Bo.. Bonditaaahh"

"Yes!.. Yes pati babu, I am here with you!"she said clutching back his hand. He slowly half- opened his eyes to look at her.

She was smiling at him lovingly and he reciprocated. She brought his hand to her lips and pressed a soft, long kiss. Her eyes were full of tears and he wiped them with a soft smile on his face. He shook his head slowly saying,"I dont like these tears na, Jaan..."

"So why do you make me cry all the time?!"she asked, tears flowing down her cheeks.

"If you are planning to scold me, I am going back to a long sleep then!"he said with a soft chuckle and she pressed his hand.

"Don't you dare!... Don't you ever dare to leave me like this again!... Okay I am sorry! But now pls get up and have some food." She said and helped him sit up on the bed.

After having the breakfast, she made him sleep again as he needed to rest. She went away to help Koyeli and Bihari with the household chores and prepare a light lunch for Anirudh.

After a few hours when she returned to the room, she saw Anirudh was awake and trying to find his slippers to get down the bed. She quickly went to him and held him by his shoulders, restricting his movement.

"What were you upto?... I told you not to get down, didnt I?..."she said , anger evident in her voice.

"You never listen to me, Pati Babu!... I am so so so upset with you!"she said sadly.

He held her hands and said,"Are you done?..."she looked at him with anger.

"No, no continue if you have ti say more?"he added.

"Now shall I speak?.... I was just going to the washroom, may I?"

She looked away rolling her eyes in embarrassment and nodded.

"No, you may go at my place if you can!"he said smirking and she just pressed a smile on her lips and shook her head.

After he came out of the washroom, she made him lie down on the bed again and read a novel to him. He was listening ti her patiently, but soon he got bored and taking it from her hand, kept it aside.

"I don't want to listen anymore, Bondita."he said holding her hands.

She smiled and agreed. But he soon pulled her onto his chest.

"Please lie beside me here, will you? I want you close to me." He said tucking a strand of her long hair behind her ear.

Bondita nodded and lied beside him carefully. He wrapped her in his loving embrace and kissed her forehead. She too rested her head on his chest and relaxed.
