The Next Day,

Bihari had helped Anirudh bath and Bondita brought him down to the telephone and made him talk to Ma, kaka and Baba... They all were worried and decided to come back sooner. But Anirudh told them that they didnt need to worry, and should cone only when their work is done.

Back to the room, Anirudh asked her while she was keeping clothes in the cupboard,"You could have told them yesterday only!... Why didn't you? "

Bondita replied casually,"You yourself saw na, how worried they were!... If I would have told them, they would have been more worried, because they needed to talk to you Pati Babu. And Maa, dont even ask! A mother wont sit quietly untill she talks to her child!... And so I called them only when you could talk."

She said so and came to sit beside him and Anirudh held her hands in his.

"Very smart you are!"he said with a smile.

"Its just normal family thing, Mr. Barrister!" She replied and handed him his medicine.

"Pati babu, I think you should sleep for a while. I have sent Bhaari Babu to check on Kadambiri and her father." She told him and he smiled and agreed.

She helped him lie down and covered him with the blanket. He was wearing his plain white Kurta which were quite comfortable. He held her hand and made her sit by his side. Bondita too didn't go, and softly patted his head to sleep.

All the love, all the pampering that her Pati Babu had given her till then, was what she was just returning with all her love.

As she noticed him falling in a soft slumber, she kissed his forehead and his hands, that had held onto hers.

It was evening when Anirudh woke up after a long sleep. He felt fresh and much better. He got up from the bed and walked to the window. He had been at home the whole day and it was something unusual for him. He wondered how would he pass a whole week!

Bondita came in with a tray and keeping it on the side stool, came to stand beside him. She wrapped her arms around him and he looked at her with a bright smile.

"How are you now?" She asked.

"Much, much better Jaan!'he said, hugging her back and bent down to place a soft kiss on her forehead.

Bondita suddenly looked down. As Anirudh lifted her head, pinching her chin, he saw tears in his favourite pair of eyes! She was crying.

"Wha... What happened, Bondita?"he asked astonished at the sudden trail of tears that flowed down her cheeks.

"All this happened because of me!"she replied looking down and more tears flowed down her eyes.

"Why.. I mean what are you saying?" He asked her wiping her tears with a frown.

"I am clearly telling you, its not you!.. It could never be you, Bondi!... It was just a small accident, from which my brave wife saved me!.." He said holding her shoulders and she looked up at him.

"Okay, I had decided to tak about ot later... But now when u have said such a thing, let me say it."he said and walked her to the bed. They sat on the edge of the bed and he held her hands tightly.

"Bondita!... I am so so sooo proud of you!... If you wouldn't have been there, I would surely have been in a worse condition!"he said and she looked up at him with tears.

"Firstly, stop crying Jaan! These tears of yours break my heart!" He told and wiped her tears away.

"And now, Bondita, you have been such a brave girl in that situation!... You drove it all the way to Dr. Ganguly, even in such a dreadful rain!" He said with surprise and pride pleated in his voice.

Bondita smiled a bit and said, "I had to Pati Babu!... That was what anyone else or you too have done in such a situation!... Its normal."she said and initiated to get up.

"Dont normalise yourself so much! You are special!...and you have acted really brave yesterday!... And Needless to say, I am so proud of you!" He said and kissed her forehead softly. His touch felt ever so loving to her and her tears flowed down yet again.

"But you know what Pati Babu?... Yesterday I realised that the rain seems beautiful only because of our comfortable circumstances!... When I had to drive through the rain, it seemed to be so horrifying!... Yesterday I saw a whole different side of rain!... And that was dreadful!... Painful and just so baaaddd!!!"she said and hugged him tightly.

Anirudh hugged her tighter and said, "Dont worry!... It's absolutely fine, Bondita!... Just calm down."

He said so and lifted her face to look at him. He wiped off her tears and and kissed her cheeks lovingly. Bondita blushed and rested her head on his chest.

"How are you feeling now Pati Babu?" She asked softly, her hands in his.

"If you ask me about right now.... Then, I am feeling quite romantic in this moment!"he said with a smirk and winked at her.

She hit on his hand softly and said,"You are becoming too much of a flirt now!... You need to take complete rest, did you get that?" She asked.

"Yes, I do..."he he said rolling his eyes and making her smile at him.

"But Bondita!..." He said thoughtfully and she hummed a yes, with her eyes closed and head still rested on his shoulder.

"Have you ever noticed how much better I feel around you?" He spoke and Bondita pressed a smile in her lips and hummed again.

"So.... I was saying... That...." He spoke nervously which made her chuckle.

"That?"she asked, teasing him.

"Thaaaattt..."he stretched the word. "That, may I Kiss You?"and blurted out the rest of the words quickly.

Bondita's cheeks and ears instantly became red in blush.

"No, you cant!"she said trying to control her blush.

"Really?"He asked. "Can't I?... Lets see then, if I 'can' or not!" He said and held her by her waist.

"N.. No... I meant.."she tried to speak with nervousness evident in her voice.

"Nooo noo.... Whatever you meant... Or let it be a grammatical mistake, I have accepted your challenge!"he said laughing naughtily and that made her chuckle too. He was slowly pushing her on the bed.

Bondita held onto his shoulders tightly as he made her lie on the bed. Coming closer, he slowly placed a kiss on her forehead and softly placed his lips on hers.

Bondita had closed her eyes feeling him and her hands clutched his shoulders, not moving upto his head. He kissed her lips soulfully, suckling them lovingly. Bondita responded to his love with more love and kissed him back. The kiss was a slow, soft yet passionate one. They kissed each other deeply, untill out of breath. Soon they parted for air, still being in each other's embrace and breathed heavily.

Panting hard, Anirudh said,"I... I love you Bonditaa!... I love my Jaan!"

"I love you so much more Pati Babuuu!" She whispered and he pressed another kiss on her little lips. They both slept in each other's embrace that night. He placed soft kissed all over her face and she too kissed him lovingly.

That's all he had wished to do that day, love her with all his love. Jist pure, innocent love!....

Days passed quickly, Bondita used to care for him with all her love; she used to feed him with her own hands, tell him stories and talk to him endlessly.

Everyone hd returned back home and the mansion was filled with the talks and laughter of all the members again.

They all had a little suprise for Anidita!... What took them so long was the marriage proposal of Somnath. He had become a doctor recently, after completing his studies and was of the prefect age to get married according to Kaka.

They all had went for some function, but had liked a girl their. She was the daughter of an old acquaintance and was really perfect to become the Choti Bahu of the Roy Chowdhary's.

"Now you'll be promoted to the post of the Badi Bahu!"Shubra maa had told Bondita lovingly, to which the latter had hugged Maa excitedly.

Anirudh and Bondita were really happy for Somnath and on knowing that he himself had agreed for the marriage, after talking to the girl, Anirudh and Bondita's happiness and excitement knew no bound!...

They were really excited about what life had in store for them ahead.
