《naruto character one shots》Murderous Intent {Sasuke Uchiha}

Everybody around you gasped in terror; shocked at the person before them, the boy they once knew. You silently weren't surprised. You weren't surprised in the slightest at Sasuke's transformation from "I'm leaving the leaf to seek Orochimaru and exact revenge on Itachi" to "my dream has been fulfilled, but Im not done yet. Oh and I want to kill everyone and destroy the Leaf."
You didn't even so much as blink at Sasuke's new mangekyo sharingan or his trippy new genjutsu. But what did surprise you, made you take a small, tiny step backward was the fluorescent purple corpse that just seemed to surround his body, encasing him in a rib cage, from there his power seemed to have no end.
Susano'o was what it's called, you recalled. Kakashi Sensei had murmured that one word under his breath after admiring his old student's brandy new power.
"Remember {Name}, Sasuke isn't playing around right now. He's taking this all completely seriously. You may need to abandon any fondness you've had for him. I know he was your friend and comrade, but it's different now. Don't hold back." Commanded Kakashi. You could only imagine how hard it was for him, to watch his failure of a student unravel before his eyes, showing his true unfaithful colors. To think he would be willing to betray his village. Who would put an idea as absurd as that into his thick skull?
It was true, the only reason you and a squad of several other Hidden Leaf ninja went after Sasuke was to either bring him back to the village willingly, this being his last chance to come back and not be put on trial before the village and Hokage, or, if he happened to have turned into a threat since the last time we've seen him, our order to follow would be to 'take care of him', only if he gets in the way.
It was also true that you are the reason your old team mate is like this. You watched him leave with your own two eyes that also watched him walk past the gate and disappear into the blackness that swallowed up everything else that the moonlight couldn't reach that night. You hugged him good bye and begged him not to take the path of hatred. You also told him that you loved him and would welcome him back home with open arms, no matter how fallen he might become. Even though his only reply was "love is for the weak and I am not a weakling", he couldn't help but wipe the tears rolling off your cheeks and flick your forehead before turning his back on you. You let him go with no objections. You knew his intentions, you fully well understood exactly where he was going and why, yet you let him slip through your fingers like sand. Of course you blame yourself for your stupidity every waking day, but you also made an agreement with yourself that you would fix him and get him to come back home.

Your mind wandered to the other remaining member of Team 7- Naruto. You felt slightly relieved that he wasn't here to see Sasuke like this. The poor kid would be so depressed and disappointed; probably to the point where he'd lose his control over the Nine Tailed fox. More like thank God he's not here because if he was, you'd have a lot more of a problem on your hands.
"I believe I have made my intentions clear- began Sasuke, from his placement located inside his "marionette" skeletal frame. "I plan to exact revenge on the village that destroyed my brother. If I go back it's to attack, or I don't go back at all." That same voice, that tone. It always consisted of slow words and a hint of annoyance. Always as if he was talking to an idiot; which he probably thinks he's dealing with all the time, knowing his full of himself personality.
You glanced around you, taking in your surroundings. You were underground in some sort of cave Uchiha was apparently hiding in for a while, honing his skills with the masked Akatsuki who supposedly is 'Madara Uchiha': the man who feeds lies. Kakashi was located several feet away from you, taking cover behind rocks. That's what everyone else seemed to be doing, perching on rocks watching intensely, figuring out what to even do about our current situation.
"Come out, Kakashi." Teased the boy, reaching out for his Sensei with those half robotic, half skeletal limbs of his.
No one wanted to leave their post. Not after the first set of ninja stupidly brave enough to offer their lives as bait so we could attain at least some intel on Sasuke's new developed powers before jumping into combat. Their remains were still lit with the ever-lasting eternal flames of the Amaterasu. They've been dead for some time now, but their bodies will continue to burn forever. It's only been four years since he's left the village yet he's come so far, maybe even surpassing Naruto. How could you let him turn into such a monster.
Not that it matters anyway.
The emotions you began to feel were overwhelming. You love this man before you, and your have ever since you watched him walk out of your life. You're no Uchiha but you cherish the value of love more than anything. And watching Sasuke, his red eyes that burn into your soul, skin so pale and hair so dark, all it did was being back memories. Of how you two bonded together. You were the only girl who he really had a friendship with. He respected you, at least before, and he trusted you. He actually had intelligible conversations with you and didn't treat you like you were a total jack ass ninja who didn't know anything. He trained with you and built a bond with you as strong as his with Naruto's, maybe even stronger. Yet, here he is, blind and forgetful of the past. How could he disregard everything you both had?

Not being able to take it any longer, you dashed from your so called "hiding spot", ignoring the cries of protest from your sensei and the other ninja. Your ran straight for that skeletal robot that your friend was controlling, or maybe vice verse. You knew full with one touch you'd be burnt to a crisp, the flesh of your finger seething hot enough to just melt off the bone, which would also end up in a puddle not long after.
Sasuke's Susano'o burned bright against your eyeballs and your skin began to sweat profusely from only being in close proximity to it, and when you looked at him, to take in his reaction and full form up close, all that registered was his sharingan, staring back at you with a flicker, only a flicker though, of murderous intent.
Inching closer and closer, hands reaching out to him, you closed your eyes, remembering the way his onyx eyes would glare at you, before he'd smirk and let out out his usual 'hn'. Or the way his black hair framed his face, his bangs laying over his forehead, looking like a duck's butt in the back, something you'd always tease him for. All his usual mannerisms, the ones you loved so much about him, the little ticks that made him Sasuke Uchiha, flashed before your eyes.
You were testing him. The Sasuke you cared and loved would never let you burn, especially not by his own jutsu. You closed your eyelids harder, half waiting to be charcoal by now, but instead you were met with a strong and sturdy pair of arms, holding you upright, and not to mention they were cold.
The whole entire room erupted in gasps and when you opened your eyes, your brows furrowed as the tears threatened to spill.
He was now almost a good head taller than you and his hair was longer. His face looker more defined, more handsome than the last time you've seen him.
But Sasuke had no intention of a happy reunion. In the blink of an eye you heard the sound of metal on metal and a sword was to your neck.
"What do you think you're doing, {Name}? Blindly running into my Susano'o like that. Don't you know what could happen!" He almost.. scolded?
"Sasuke, what're you doing?" You bellowed in anger and sadness.
"I really didn't think Id be seeing you here, {Name}. It's been a while." He blankly stated ignoring you, using his sword to trace down your long hair.
You felt all eyes in the room directed at you. This was probably very unexpected, not only to you but to everyone else also. Why was he dragging this out longer and longer. Almost as if to tease you, keeping you alive.
"Come on, Uchiha. Just cave already, I know you need to kill me as part of your "growing stronger" and "getting over bonds" strategy to obtain true hatred." You tempted. You saw the blood lust in his eyes as quickly as it disappeared. He was treating differently, and he seemed as if he had no intention of hurting you at all. But why?
"Sorry to disappoint you my dear but that chapter of my life is over now. I don't follow my brothers philosophy anymore." He smirked at my expression.
"Who are you?" Anger began to seethe in your voice, manifesting from nowhere but your desire for the answers he wasn't giving you.
"I believe I am your love. At least that's what I was to you the last we met."
"Why aren't you killing me?" You asked, pleading with your eyes.
"Stop ignoring my questions." He glared.
"Come any closer and this idiot dies." Threatened Sasuke in attempt to scare away your rescuers.
You couldn't believe how obnoxious he was being. Would he really kill you? You winced as the blade of the sword kissed your skin, drawing beads of blood.
Sasuke was officially a threat.
That heart breaking realization burned it's way down your core like ice, leaving you chilled to the bone. Your love was now on the Leaf shinobi's kill list, and they were loyal enough to kill a comrade posing as a threat to another. Kakashi had a kunai and a chidori to Sasuke's back and the remaining ninja had you two surrounded.
But you had a few tricks up your sleeve and wouldn't allow Sasuke Uchuha to bask in all the glory. Specializing in mind transfer jutsu, you could have anyone wrapped around your finger by the slightest touch. But you were sick and tired of the boring minimal physical contact method of entering into ones mind, so you thought why not have a show.
Wrapping your arms around Sasuke's neck you pressed your lips against his. It was his fault for leaving himself wide open. As Kakashi's chidori deteriorated and everyone one else lowered their guard, unwanted tension became palpable in the air. You mentally apologized for making this moment so awkward for the others but you melted into the kiss. Even Sasuke didn't pull back. As his hands wrapped around you you couldn't help the groan of satisfaction escape your mouth at how soft his lips felt against yours and how you roamed his mind, which he no doubt purposely left wide open for you.
You smirked in content after pulling away, at how easy your job was. Almost no work was involved and when the ninja had him restrained, prepared to bring him back home, you realized how little effort was involved. Sasuke was somewhat willingly going home, yet your never even had to activate your jutsu on him.

Fork This Life!
Now we've all heard stories about people who died and were born again with their memories intact. The form of the reincarnator changes from story to story: human, elf, orc, slime, vampire, goblin; you name it, someone wrote it. But what if you were reborn in the most common of houshold objects? What would happen if someone reincarnated as a fork? Involves: merciless fork jokes, monsters, magic n' all that stuff, some profanity, maybe some gore (i'll keep it light), fork philosophy, and if you got advice on where to go next with the novel, comment, coz I only got a hazy outline. Read my other novel here: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/13058/odyssey-of-the-unrivalled

After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

8 229To live is to Dream (LitRPG; First Draft)
A new Power has come into the World and seeks to change it. Being on the last dregs of sanity and full of alcohol Daniel West receives an opportunity to seek revenge. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------To live is to Dream is the second book of the Just a Dream series. You do not have to read the first to enjoy the second, but there will be recurring characters along the line. The first book features Mir, a man that dislikes how his current world appears and hence wants to change it. The second book will feature other people and how the changes implemented by Mir affect their lives. For those interested in my first book, it's easy to find it. Just beware that with the first book, it was my first time writing and there are a lot of grammar errors despite lots of editing, at least at the beginning of the book. The cover was done by Lmarief. I had requested something bizarre and she delivered. I have even used it as part of the story since her interpretation of my imagination was a bit different. Still, I loved it. As a thank you gift, I posted a link to her profile here for others who want a unique cover. https://www.royalroad.com/profile/220043
