The evening came around, everyone sitting together in the middle of the area talking. Nesrin tries to remember some more spells she could use against the telmarines in a fight. "What's going on?" Edmund asks softly, sitting down next to her.
"Just trying to think of some good spells." She replies. She fiddles her wand in her hand nervously.
"Remember, it's a fight, the three unforgivable spells are allowed here." Edmund says holding her hands in his.
"I don't know, I don't want to hurt anyone." She replies. Edmund wraps one arm around her shoulder and pulls her closer rubbing her arm softly.
"Your way too innocent for a war, listen, the death curse won't hurt anybody. They just die. Use that one if needed okay? They will hurt us too." Edmund says before placing a kiss on her head.
"Edmund..." she says softly in almost a whisper. He mumbles a quick 'mhm'. "Peter told me you almost died last time if it wasn't for Lucy, please be safe." She adds, in such a soft voice only he could hear it.
"I will, remember I'm a bit older now, more experienced! And besides, I worry about you. You've never fought before and magic won't protect you from everything." Edmund says softly.
"I'll be fine." She replies. They sit there for some more time. Just in a comfortable silence listening to other people's stories. Caspian looks at the two of them and smiles. He leans closer to Lucy and Susan.
"Are they ... together?" He asks. Lucy and Susan giggle before nodding their heads frantically. "They seem adorable, never thought I would see a king and a witch together." He whispers.
Edmund who heard it smiles to himself. "We should all get to bed, tomorrow we'll start training." Peter says suddenly. Everyone gets up and walks to the hammocks and sleeping bags.

The next morning everyone start off with breakfast and then they start training. Nesrin and Reepicheep the mouse stand outside with a crowd around them. "I don't want to hurt you." Nesrin says softly holding her wand ready to train.
"You won't, just don't kill me!" Reepicheep replies. They get a sign to start fighting. Reepicheep runs up to the young witch.
"Expelliarmus!" Nesrin screams, the little sword flies a while further making everyone gasp.
"That was amazing! And then you can easily kill someone!" Reepicheep replies picking up his sword. "You're very useful." He adds.
The narniers start cheering and Nesrin takes a break looking at her boyfriend fighting his brother. "Very interesting the way you could take away my sword." Reepicheep says sitting down next to Nesrin.
"It's a basic spell really. Every witch or wizard knows them." She replies. Reepicheep shakes his head.
"But here, no one knows about the spells you use. For us it's like a candy store, great to look at." He says making Nesrin laugh.
Peter wins the fight against his younger brother who walks up to Nesrin and sits down next to her. "How are you doing Edmund?" Nesrin asks.
"Pretty good, I just lost against Peter... again." He replies mumbling the last word. "But I'm getting better which means that one day, I'll be able to win." He adds.
"Good for you. When were you going to tell me your whole title? I had to hear from Lucy that your king Edmund the Just... where would that come from?" Nesrin asks sarcastically. Edmund laughs and shakes his head.
"It's not a big deal, I want you to see me as Edmund and not the king of Narnia." He replies smiling.

"I won't ever see you as king, I love the normal boy who tutored me potions in Snape's class." Nesrin says. They both laugh.
"He messed up your potion the first day huh?" Edmund asks thinking back at it.
"Am I that transparant?" She asks back.
"No, I just looked at any other option, another reason the potion could've possibly blown up but there wasn't any. Snape knew exactly what he did." Edmund explains.
"You're actually really smart you know that?" Nesrin asks being completely blown away by his words.
"Yeah, one in a relationship needs to be smart right?" He asks. Nesrin pokes his arm and gasps. "I was joking! I was joking!" He says laughing.
"Oh Edmund, one is the smartest and the other person is the strongest, whatever you say." Nesrin replies, stands up and walks away. Edmund follows her and grabs her hand.
"Oh yeah, will the strongest kiss the smartest maybe?" He asks smiling. She rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.
"No." She replies turning around but Edmund saw it coming, grabbing her hand, pulling her closer. Their faces only inches away from each other.
"Are you sure about that?" He whispers making her stomach explode with the amount of butterflies going crazy inside. She bites her lip softly. He leans in and kisses her. She pulls in and deepens the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck, his hands on her hips.
They hear someone coughing and pull away looking at half the group of Narniers smiling at them. Nesrin rolls her eyes and walks away. "That was unnecessary." Trumpkin says annoyed. Edmund glares at the dwarf before going back to Peter.

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 89I Only Wish I Had a Cliché Adventure
There are many legendary stories about the greatest hero ever known. A hero who owns many names. Or that's how the public speaks of him. The truth, however, is something very different. The real story talks about a man, whose life was filled with books and his own made-up adventurer stories. But as he ran out of his parent's inheritance, he was forced to get an odd job. But what he ended up doing was accidentally killing the strongest Demon King known. As the law stated, he gained the strongest title one can have - Hero. The title so powerful, that even the greatest show some respect. But sadly, that was only the beginning of his story. As a fresh title owner, he now had responsibilities of the hero, which weren't easy. Being weak - without any known powers or experience - there was now a lot on his plate. And not all responsibilities and worries were about fighting or even dangerous... This is the writing of the legend himself. The Nameless Hero's Chronicles. But then again... Let the man speak for himself... ---- Thank you, everyone, who have decided to follow my writing. I appreciate each and every one of you. 8 208Solstice Anthology
A collection of short stories I've written over the past few years, the centerpiece being "Solstice" itself: On the Winter Solstice, the wind whispered. It roared and blew across the world, and reached even the Heavens above. With it, the great cold of winter flooded across that higher plane, and the gods staggered. They felt the golden dust of their divinity drift away from them, and the message of that wind became clear… This Winter will never end so that the Earth will.
