《Dear Insanity》xGive Me Lovex

Guys. I went on my first officialll date earlier, and it WAS TERRIBLE. Danny and I met up wearing the same shirt, only to awkwardly walk around and play video games for four hours until he accidentally pushed me into the road and almost got me killed. And I walked him home (which is terrible, because he can drive and is two years older than me), which ended in him saying "So, you wanna go out or what?"
Guys are idiots, alright? That one date made me question my sexuality.
Ha. Kidding. Im just not dannysexual.
Love you alllll,

I sat on the couch wearing a large, over sized sweater and my favorite black skinnies. Gabriel had put a hat on my head, and it seemed I was the only one drinking tonight. He let me drink tonight, on the terms I would stick by him the whole night.
Three hard beers later, I was laying with my head in Gabriel's lap and my legs hanging off the edge of the couch. Kira and Georgia laid underneath the Christmas tree, examining and playing with the little lights. I smiled at them, feeling an tug on my hair.
"Gabrieel," I whined. "I don't wanna wear that. . ."
He chuckled, taking the glass bottle from my hands with a smile. "That's enough for you, I think." He put it on the table, tugging the Santa hat lower over my ears. I rolled over, burying my face in his thighs and groaning at the heat on my back.
"Why are the lights so hot?" I asked, genuinely curious.
He just ran a hand through my pale hair, resting his arm on my lower back. "I don't know, Lex," He said in feign wonder.
"Hey!" I slapped his knee in a playful way of scolding. "I'm serious."
"Babe, you need some water," Kira broke in, patting my leg and wandering out into the kitchen.
I sighed, sitting up - not an easy task- and snuggling my head into the pillow. My vision was somewhat blurry, but it's not like I cared anymore. "G'night," I mumbled, letting my full weight bear on his lap.
"Oh, no, we aren't going to bed yet," he laughed, pulling me up into a sitting position between his flannel-clad legs. He was spending the night, as his family was pretty much nonexistent as of 2007, but it wasn't like I minded.
I was actually coming to terms that I liked him. Me, the mental-ward graduate and hallucinatory prone girl, liked perfect-in-every-way Gabriel Hawthorne. At the same time, however, that I had decided I was falling for him, I had also come to terms that we would never work out.
Gratefully taking this opportunity, I rested the back of my head on his chest and glanced at his tanned face. The one thing that stood out, though, was the scar adorning his neck. He had yet to tell me how his father had done it, but I was almost positive he'd have to tell before the retrial.

I looked away, noticing his eyes stare down back at me. Feeling uncomfortable, I focused my attention on the television, where Rudolph the reindeer was prancing around to impress a cute clay doe.
Kira returned with a glass of water, handing it to me with a smirk. I giggled, sipping it and closing my eyes. "Cheers, babe," I said to her, clinking my glass with the air and putting it down on the table.
The door opened and Luna and Sam stumbled in, laughing loudly and reeking of beer. I scrunched up my nose, hoping I didn't smell like that either. Gabriel tightened his grip on me, his breath growing a little ragged.
I placed one of his hands over mine, squeezing it gently. I knew better than to drink alcohol that left a scent around him, as it brought back memories of his father. He rested his chin on my head, jaw clenched. "Hi," he said to them, swallowing.
Luna narrowed her eyes at me. "Are you drunk again?"
"What the-? How did you. . . Fuck," I stammered. "No, but you are." I pointed out smugly.
"Ah, hell, it's Christmas!" She sang, leaning over and planting a kiss full on Sam's lips. He looked shocked, not responding, but after she pulled away shyly, tugged her back and moved his mouth in sync with hers.
"Oh, ew." I muttered, closing my eyes.
Gabriel's hands slowly stopped shaking, but I didn't let go. It came to me then, that we weren't so much different. In a way, he could almost relate to me. He had lost his family, in a sense. His sister was thousands of miles away, his father in jail, and mother dead. Although mine wouldn't be coming back, his probably wouldn't, either.
Which was why I had a plan to make his Christmas one he'd remember.

I woke at four am on Christmas morning, my face nuzzled into Gabriel's neck and body tightly pressed against him. As I tried to move, I realized our hands were intertwined and his leg had swung over my side protectively. With a small sigh, I pushed myself off the couch and stepped over Kira and Georgia’s intertwined figures. My phone was vibrating in my pocket, so I pushed it up to my ear while pulling on my combats as quietly as possible.
I didn’t bother leaving a note, closing the door behind me softly. “Hey, Elise,” I greeted, digging out the keys to Gabriel’s truck and climbing inside.
“Hey,” her irish accent was intensely thick, heavier than Gabriel’s by a long shot. “Where are you? The plane just landed.”
I racked my memory on how the hell to drive this beast, Chris’s words coming to me after a moment.
“You have to put the car in drive, or you won’t go anywhere.”
His laugh rang in my ears, a beautiful, melodic sound. “I’m coming now. . . I fell asleep.” The hangover wasn’t as bad as before, just a dull droning in my ears that refused to cease.

“Now pull out, slowly. Haha, that’s what she said.”
I pulled out into the road, letting out a deep, nervous breath. Gabriel would kill me if he knew I’d taken his car, but it would be so worth it to see the look on his face when he met his sister for the first time in four years. “I’m by the bus terminal. Listen, Alexxa, thanks for everything.”
I bit back a smile. “No problem.”
“Take the car out of reverse, but use that gear-stick thing. Got it?”
As if he was beside me, guiding me, I put the car back into drive and turned down the road, onto the highway. “I’ll be right there,” I continued, hearing her speak out a reply before hanging up the phone.
The drive was agonizingly slow. I got beeped at multiple times for going so slow, but paranoia was a part of driving again for me. Without Chris by my side, I felt weak, whilst when he taught me I felt as if he could save me if a bus hit us.
As soon as I got to the airport, I could tell her apart from everyone else. She was short, the same height and size as me, with dark black locks and wide eyes. A layer of eyeliner ringed them, the same shade of black as her nails. She was insanely tan, just like him. I took in her white sweater dress that hung to her knees in little black patterns, and the brown cowboy boots up to her calves. Elise was gorgeous, just like her brother.
Beeping my horn to get her attention, I gave her a small wave. She looked up with tired blue eyes, standing eagerly and dragging her suitcase behind her. I helped her put it in, trekking through the snow back to my car. A smile came to her face as she entered the heated truck, leaning back and lighting a cigarette.
I bit my lip. “Sorry, babe, stump that out.”
She sighed. “Are you one of those smokes hating pacifists or something?”
I rolled my eyes, letting out a chuckle. “No, but this is Gabriel’s truck, and he won’t let me smoke in here.” I explained.
She nodded. “Well, Merry Christmas.”
I grinned. “Merry Christmas.”
She leaned back in the seat as I turned around, bracing the hour long ride home in the blizzard that swept over London last minute. “What’s he like?” She asked dreamily, closing her eyes.
I turned onto the highway. “Gabriel. . . “ I muttered, trying to find words that fit him. “He’s sarcastic, and strange. But in his own way, he makes it sweet. There’s two sides to him. I’ve only seen his deeper side twice. . . He loves you, a lot. But he has these walls. They aren’t as thick as they should be, though. . . He’s really amazing.”
A lazy smile stretched across her face. “What’s going on with you two, anyways? Are you dating or something?”
I shook my head, running a hand through my messed up hair. “No, we’re just friends.”
She laughed. “Not for long,” her voice was distant, as if she was thinking about something.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked, but got no reply.
We pulled into the house at around six in the morning, silently putting the car into park. “Shh,” I whispered, sending her a grin. “He doesn’t know you’re here.”
She nodded , stifling a laugh and letting me take her hand. I opened the door, sneaking past the sleeping bodies. She paused in the middle of the living room, gaping at her older brother for a moment. He had stretched out on the couch since I left, looking like a cuddly starfish. “Wow,” She mumbled, looking like she was about to tear up.
I leaned over, fixing his hair softly, and led her into Luna’s empty room. “Are you tired?” I asked.
She gave me a weary look, sitting down on the bed. “I’m just going to sleep a few hours. . . “ I nodded.
“The bathroom is through that door. I’ll come get you for breakfast.”
“Thank you.” Her voice was soft.
I smiled. “Goodnight, Elise.”
Closing the door behind me, I took off my shoes and the jacket, sliding back onto the couch. Gabriel stirred a bit, moving over and giving me more room. Putting my face in the pillow, I curled my hands into fists and attempted to warm them with my breath.
“Dammit, Lexxa, where did you go?” He mumbled, swinging an arm around my shoulders and warming me.
I shrugged. “I wanted a smoke.”
He sighed, burying his face in the crook of my neck. “I don’t want you to die before me.”
I placed a kiss on his cheek, closing my eyes and curling my legs to my chest.
“Challenge accepted.”

What better than to give a guy his sister for Christmas?? Haha.
Song is "Give Me Love" By Ed Sheeran. Gaahhhhhhhhh. It's so beautiful.
"All I want, is the taste that your lips allow."
Elise is on the side ^_^ I love her character. It reminds me so much of Cassie from Skins.
Im sure you know this all already, but the NSA is fucking crazy. They're taking over and they know what we do man. All of it. Im about to put tape over my webcam, cause they might be watching me. God, cant they mind their own business? Apparently Australia and Germany was in league with them, too.

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
