"
"I am—not sure. I hope not?" I chuckled.
Kongpob was looking at me with the same worried eyes I had seen before. But now I knew more than anything that pushing him away wouldn't help either of us.
"I am going to go back to my house to talk to mom about everything. If you are free today, would you—would you mind coming with me and scanning the house for any surveillance devices?"
Kongpob smiled. "Of course. I'll just go back to the dorms to take a shower, and then we'll leave?"
"Sounds good"
Kongpob opened the door and he was about to leave when we turned and came back.
"What? Did you forget something?"
Instead of answering. He just smiled and put a light peck on my lips.
Kongpob left and I just stood there frozen on my spot. "When—when did I agree to be his boyfriend?"
···
When he got back, we took a bus and walked together from the bus stop towards my house. And I avoided mentioning the B-word at all costs.
"Hey, isn't that the bakery where I met you before?" Kongpob asked
"Yep, its my mom's favourite. I used to come here all the time when I was a kid"
"You looked really nervous when we met that day"
"I was meeting mom for the first time in months and I just didn't expect to see you here. But I am glad we met."
"MORNING, SIR ROJNAPAT"
"What the hell?" I shrieked. The two security guards stationed at the house literally yelled at me as I approached the house.
Uncle Thipat came laughing from inside.
"Uncle you need to stop with your pranks"
"I saw you walking up towards the house and thought I should have some fun. It gets boring in the house without you Arthit. "

"How is that fun, Uncle Thipat. I thought dad was around and I stopped breathing for a second"
"Arthit, I won't ever let your dad enter this house again. And you should get used to people treating you like this. You are the heir to Empire Industries, not him"
"Empire Industries?" Kong was looking at me all confused
Jeez. Did he have to say it out loud in front of Kongpob?
"Oh hello young man, I am sorry I didn't address you before. I am Thipat, I take care of the house and yell at Arthit when he skips his meals."
"Hello, Uncle Thipat, I am Kongpob"
"Are you Arthit's friend?"
We are not going into detail about this right at the front door, so I finally decided to speak up. "Uncle, is mom in her room?"
"Yes, she is."
"Great! We'll go in then. I'll see you later. BYE"
I held Kong's hand and pulled him inside the house. "Hey Kong, I'll go talk to mom. Why don't you start checking my room till then? Take the stairs — My room is first door to the right."
"Ah ha. Okay. I'll call in case I get lost trying to find your room in this mansion of a house."
"Kong, come on. You know I don't live here."
I snickered. "KONG!"
"Okay, okay, I'll go."
As Kong went upstairs, I walked towards mom's room. I took a deep breath before opening the door and finally went inside.
"Hey mom, how are you feeling today?"
···
Telling mom everything wasn't easy, but I knew I had to do that. She took everything better than I thought she would. Though she was really worried about my safety when I told her about the accident, she was just glad nothing bad happened.

She also wants to talk to Uncle Lam, it has been several years since she cut off communication with him and she is only now realizing that he was right all along.
When I went up to the room, Kongpob had turned it completely turned it upside down. "Kong, what—what the hell happened here?"
"Shh..." Kongpob put a finger on his lips. He showed me a few devices in his hands and pulled me directly towards the kitchen.
"Kong what are you doing—"
"Stop talking" Kongpob whispered. He put all the devices in the microwave and blasted them.
"KONG!!" The microwave was now making wired noises and I am pretty sure mom is going to kill me when she sees me.
"Not here" Kongpob pulled me outside the house. "Lets go to that bakery we met the last time"
Kongpob literally made me ran all over to the bakery. We were both out of breath when we finally made it there.
"Can you tell me now whats wrong, Kong?"
Kong had a stern face. The recording devices were all over the room and the CCTV was placed strategically to capture everything on your computer screen."
"Fuck." I looked up at the sky. "I need some chocolate pastry. This is all too much."
We went inside the bakery and stood at the counter to order some cake. "Do you want to eat something, Kong?"
"Whatever you recommend. Can you give me your phone?"
"Ah. Sure. Here."
"Thanks. I'll go grab us a table"
When I bought the pastry and put it on the table, Kong was still fiddling with my phone.
"Kong, is something wrong?"
"I am trying to check if your phone is being tracked too. There is a high possibility"
I clenched my jaw. I am dragging Kong too far out in this. I never wanted him to be this worried.
"I don't think so Kong. I changed my phone right around the time I left the house because I broke the last one in a fit of anger"
Kongob looked up "I'll still check. Just to be safe." He was going through my phone, when suddenly it started buzzing.
"Ah. Arthit, I think your uncle is calling"
I looked at the screen. It was Uncle Lam.
"Hello Uncle? How are you? I wanted to give you a call today anyway"
"Arthit, I just found out your dad has been slowly putting all the company money in his private bank account by setting up shell companies. Also and his mistress is here too. I think its time we file a criminal and divorce case against him before things get worse"

A/N: Do you think Arthit's phone was being tracked too?
There are still a few big twists remaining in the story and I am so excited about writing them!
Today I just woke up missing dive bars -- when we could just go day drinking on a weekend with friends. While my city has flattened the curve, we are still months or may be years away from careless day drinking and parties with friends, and that makes me really sad.

8 163The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
