"What do you mean Arthit?"

"He was cheating on mom and he wants to divorce her as well. I just don't know what to do Uncle. I want to help mom, but I don't know how"

"That assh*le. He promised me he would mend his ways. I really thought he had changed this time.Arthit.. you dont have to worry about a thing. Come meet me at the office today. We'll talk then. I will text you my address"

"Okay Uncle, I will see you then"

When I went to the cafeteria for lunch, there were first year students everywhere trying to get seniors to sign their books. Well, at least they were trying. I scanned the room looking for Kongpob, and I finally saw him standing too close to a guy.

Wait, did I just see that?

Kong took the other guy's book and now he was getting signs by seniors for both of them.

"Kongpob!"

I walked furiously towards Kongpob who was now looking at me all confused.

"0062, why do you have two sign books with you instead of one?"

"Ah.. I was just helping my friend Aim get more signs."

Aim.. isn't that Kongpob's friend from the future who tried to send him off to Seoul? They have known each other all this long?

"Why do you like being the hero every time 0062? He can get signatures on his own and you should worry about yourself"

He smiled at me and pushed his signature book towards me. "Then how about sign my book?" He was just being chummy with that guy and now he is using his charms on me to get my signature? I am not falling this.

"Go stand at that table and yell 'I like men' and then ask 10 boys here out on a date"

Kongpob tilted his head. "

Okay, I guess I'll do it"

Arthit, what the hell is really wrong with you? Why would you tell the guy you love to go ask someone else out? I am now single handedly ruining my own life.

Kongpob really stood on the table and yelled 'I like men.' Everyone was cheering and clapping for him.

Then he came down and walked straight towards me. Exactly what was he trying to do?

"Wait — what?

"You told me to ask 10 different boys out on a date, but I only want to date you. So, I guess I'll just have to ask you out for 10 dates then." He was giving me his usual confident smile, the one I had seen too many times in my apartment already.

"Kongpob thats not what I —"

Bright suddenly propped out of no where. "Arthit, this very handsome junior is trying to ask you out. Just say yes already. You have been single for far too long."

"Shut up Bright" I smakced him over the head and realised everyone else in the cafeteria was staring at me.

"And you Kong, you shut up as well"

I tried to leave, but Kongpob called me out again. "Wait, Arthit., at least sign my book"

"I never said I would sign your book" I huffed and left the canteen. I didn't want people to see me all flustered and sweaty. Wait.. Did Kong really just ask me out on a date? No Ten Dates?

With a million things in my mind already, I took the bus to Uncle Lam's office. The way he asked if dad had done something again made it seem like he already knew something.

Did dad really try something in the past? I know Kongpob said dad could have been behind this whole accident, but I just didn't want to believe it until now. There was no one else who would put a GPS device on Mom's car.

I took a deep breath and pressed the elevator button to reach Uncle Lam's office. As soon as the elevator door opened, I could see Uncle standing there, waiting for me. He looked like he had aged a bit, but his smile was still the same.

"Arthit, you are finally here! Give your Uncle a hug"

He put me in a bear hug and for a few seconds I couldn't even breath. "Uncle, I — I am good. How are you?"

"I am okay Arthit. How is your mom?"

I looked down. "She is good too"

"Lets go inside and have lunch together. I ordered your favourite crispy chicken that you used to like when you were a kid. Lets sit together in my cabin and you can tell me everything that has been bothering you."

We sat together and I told Uncle everything that had happened in the last two months. Well everything minus the Kongpob part. Everything from dad throwing me out of the house to asking mom for a divorce, his possible mistress in Macau, forcing her to drink and possibly putting a GPS device in her car.

"Arthi...I-- I can't believe you and your mom had to go through all this alone. I know she probably didn't want to see me again after how we ended things, but I wish you would have contacted me before"

"I didn't know things would get this bad until a few days ago.Uncle, you had said on the phone that dad had done something like this before?"

"As you know, your mom's father, your grandfather built the whole company and your dad was just an employee. He trained me and your dad together. But your father ended up taking over the company after your grandfather's death as he married your mom, and I ended up establishing my own business.

The truth is, I caught your dad siphoning money from the company and your mother's accounts almost a decade ago.

I also had suspicions that he was cheating on your mother, but she just wouldn't believe me.

Your dad never came clean about the cheating, but he did confess to me that he was transferring money to offshore accounts to invest in some illegal businesses in China.

But he swore on you and your mother that he would never do that again. I thought he loved you and your mother the most, so I believed him. But of course, he was a liar."

"I also believed dad loved me and mom, but I am not so sure about it either. He obviously has a woman on the side and he couldn't care less about mom or me."

"But Arthit, how did you find out your dad was cheating? You said, it was a woman called Lily in Macau?"

"Yeah. Yeah. I actually-- I saw it on his phone one day. All I know is her name and her location."

"Hmm..I will try to find evidence for it. That is the only way to get a clean divorce for your mom -- Otherwise the legal battle to separate the assets could take years."

"But isn't the company and our house under mom's name?"

"It is. But your mom and dad have been married for more than 20 years. We never had prenuptial agreements back in that day. Your dad is legally allowed to ask for 50% of your mom's assets, or more. The legal case could take years and leave the whole company in ruins. Even the house might get seized."

I sighed deeply. "Why do you think dad is doing all this, Uncle? He had the company, he had the money, he had a good family. What more could he want?"

"Sometimes, humans are just get greedy, Arthit. Your dad, he was always overambitious, he always wanted more. I think if he was doing all this, he might have started his illegal dealings back again too.

If we find out about it, we can convince the board members to officially kick him out of the company."

"Why can't we just tell the board members he was cheating on mom and trying to takie over her own company?"

Uncle chuckled. "Because my dear Arthit, most of the rich old men on the board are cheating on their wives already, and one more doesn't really make any difference to them. We need to show them how they have been losing money for them to actually get affected."

"But what happens when dad leaves the company? How do we keep the business afloat? Who should be in-charge? Mom?"

"No. It should be you Arthit. You should take over the company. Not right away, of course, you are not ready yet. But I'll groom you to make sure you are ready to take over when you finish college by 2020."

"I —I am not capable of all this, Uncle. I am not even old enough."

"You have been through more things than most 21-year olds Arthit. I think you are old enough to take over the company that your grandfather built with incredible hard work."

"I'll think about it, Uncle. I am still not sure yet."

"And Arthit, I know you think your mom was the target of that accident because you found a GPS tracker in her car, but I think you could have been a target as well.

A/N: I am sorry if the chapter was a little too boring. I have been a little out of it for a few days with back to back anxiety attacks. Here's hoping tomorrow will be a better day
