《You Belong To My World (Completed!)》Chapter 27: I Am Madly in Love With You❤️

I had a long discussion with Uncle about what we should do next. We decided it was best to put security guards in front of the house to make sure mom is always safe. Uncle Lam wanted to send in his own security, but I told him I would take care of it. Its not that easy trusting a relative when your own dad is trying to get you.

May be he does have pure intentions, but I can't put all my eggs in the same basket. So, I asked Uncle Thipat to take care about hiring security guards for the house instead. He manages all the other staff at the house, any way.

Grabbing some dinner near the college campus, I went back to my apartment - which was the place that had started to haunt me now.

Every time I entered the apartment, I felt suffocated. The bedroom was the worst of it all because that is where I slept with Kong every night and I couldn't even bear staying in the room for more than a minute. I couldn't stop my tears when I tried sleeping on the bed..our bed.

So, I took all my clothes out of the cupboards and put them on the on the living room and took my pillow and blanket to sleep on the sofa. May be, if I didn't have to go into the bedroom at all, I would would be able to sleep in my apartment for once.

I laid down on the sofa for hours. But even that didn't work.

So, I left the apartment and somehow found myself back at Kongpob's apartment again. I knocked once, but Kong didn't answer. I decided to use the keys that Kong had given me instead. When I got inside, Kong was already sleeping but he had already laid out clothes for me.

He knew I was coming?

I changed and lied down on the bed next to him. Hugging him from behind. He still smelled the same. He still felt the same.

"What time is it Arthit?" Kongpob whispered.

"You are up? I am sorry for waking you up? I think its about 1.30am"

Kongpob turned around to face me, put a light peck on my lips, hugged me tightly and went back to sleep.

"Yea..Yes. I guess I will"

Arthit left in the morning before I could even wake up, again. If I didn't see him in college every day, I might have believed he was a ghost haunting my dorm room.

In the SOTUS session today, Arthit seemed extra angry . He made all the freshmen run in the football ground for hours, and a girl even fainted because of exhaustion. I have no idea why he has been behaving this way. Is it because the seniors expect this out of him and this is just a role he has to play? Or is this really him?

To stop thinking about Arthit, I decided to go to the library and study for a while. My phone kept buzzing with messages on the class message group, so I put it in silent instead.

It was almost two hours later when Aim tracked me down in the library.

"Kong, did you check the class message group yet? Your favourite senior Arthit got a dose of his own medicine from the fourth years"

"What—what do you mean?"

"They made Arthit run 50 laps of the football field because of what happened in the morning."

I suddenly got up and started packing my back. "Is he still running on the field? There is no way he can finish 50 laps so soon"

"Ummm, actually he did. I don't know how. He kept running and just wouldn't stop. I came here looking for you just after he finished his 50th lap"

"Why didn't you just call me, Aim?"

"I tried calling you, many times. But you didn't answer."

I picked up my bag. "I gotta go, Aim. I will see you later"

Practically running out of the library, I tried calling Arthit but his phone was switched off.

Where could he be? Did he already leave already?

I ran towards the college exit and found Arthit talking to his friend Bright.

"Arthit, are you sure you can take the bus? I can drop you to your apartment"

"I told you I am okay, Bright. This is nothing. Now just go. I know you have a date"

As soon as Bright drove away, Arthit started limping. This liar, I swear.

"Arthit, WHAT THE HELL?"

"Kong. What-what are you still doing here?"

I moved closer to Arthit and put my arm around him to help him stand. "Why did you run 50 laps of the stupid football field. You can't even walk properly now"

He huffed. "Its just the usual punishment from seniors. Not a big deal really"

"You didn't even let Bright drop you to your apartment. How are you planning to even walk to the bus stop?"

"I—I'll make it to the bus stop. Seriously Kong, its not a big deal. You should go back"

"Really Arthit?" I let go of him completely. "Try walking five steps ahead on your own and I'll leave you alone. But if you can't, I am carrying you home."

"Fine. Look carefully Kongpob" Arthit shot his eyes at me. "One. Two. Threeeeee. AAhh FUCK"

Arthit almost fell on the ground, but I caught him just in time. Thank god, I didn't believe this overconfident idiot.

"Okayyy, so I guess we are taking a taxi to your apartment"

"Kong, No —"

"We are not discussing this anymore. Lets just go"

I called a taxi and carried Arthit to his apartment. I had only been to Arthit's house once and I really liked it. He never invited me to his apartment, ever. I did think it was weird, but I just assumed he wanted his personal space.

. His house was nothing like I remembered from the last time.

There were empty dishes all over kitchen

Clothes thrown away on the floor and it seemed like he had been sleeping on the sofa

"What do you mean?" Arthit was steadily trying to limp walk inside.

"Just... the place looks very different from the last time I was here"

I took a deep breath. It was clear he was going through something. I needed to talk to Arthit about this. But not right now.

"I'll carry you to your bedroom and then I'll get some pain killers for you"

"No. No. No. I don't go into the bedroom. I sleep on the sofa"

"What do you mean? Is there an issue with the bedroom?"

"No. I just — I just don't like going into my bedroom alone."

I chuckled. "Arthit, you are behaving like there is a ghost in your bedroom.

Come, I'll take you to the bedroom. You won't be alone when you go with me right?"

I held Arthit tightly by his waist and helped him walk towards the bedroom. But just as we reached the door, Arthit stopped again.

"Kong. I—I just get anxious whenever I am inside the bedroom."

" I am here with you. Tell you what - Lets try lying on the bed for 5 minutes, together. If you still don't feel okay, we will go back to my dorms. Deal?"

"Okay..."

I steadily supported Arthit and we finally got on the bed. Arthit still wouldn't let go of my hand and he was was shaking.

"Arthit. Hey. Look at me" I cupped his cheeks and looked directly into his eyes. "I am right here. I won't go any where. Why don't you try to sleep? You have had a long day."

"And you won't go anywhere?"

"Of course I won't. Don't you remember the promise you asked me to make weeks ago?

I put a blanket over Arthit, and massaged his hair to help him sleep.

There was something going on with Arthit, I had my doubts over the past week but now I was pretty sure of it.

Arthit couldn't sleep in his apartment alone, which is why he kept showing up at my door at night. But what happened suddenly? Things were okay up till the accident and then everything.. changed.

When Arthit finally slept, I got up and decided to clean the whole house. A few hours and lots of dust later, I was finally done.

I was exhausted. Thankfully, Arthit hadn't waken up amidst all the cleaning. I took a quick shower and collapsed on the bed.

Nights had quickly become my favourite part. No matter how my day went, I always had Arthit sleeping next to me, and that was enough for me to get by.

"Kong, wake up! WAKE UP NOW!"

I slowly opened my eyes. Arthit was standing, still limping, near the bed.

"Morning Arthit.." I smiled. "How are you feeling now?"

"That's not what's important right now. What did you do to my house, Kong?

"What do you mean?"

"Why are my clothes back in the bedroom and who told you to clean my kitchen?"

"I just — I just wanted to help, Arthit. I know you have been going through a lot"

"I never asked you for help Kongpob. You had no right.'

Seriously, what is going on with you lately?

One minute you act like you are all over me. You kiss me in the SOTUS hall. You keep telling me you want to take me to the dorms.

Then suddenly the college starts and you act like I am the one who is clinging on to you?"

"No Kong, thats not —"

? Did you have a few fun weeks with me and then realise you dont like me anymore?

May be I just got all the signals mixed. I thought you liked me, but you hate me instead."

"

Wait, what?

—-

A/N: Dun dun dunnnn.

Arthit finally said the words out loud he has been trying to hide for weeks.

Do you think he'll be better to Kong now?

Little life update: My city has finally flattened the curve and the lockdown is slowly lifted up. It feels like the light at the end of the tunnel
