"So what you tryna say?! I'm a witch or somethin?!" Eve-Marie shouted as she stood up. Baley smirked and licked her lips before sighing and looking at her nails.
"I really hate that word..it's so ugly."
"So you are a siren then?" Eve-Marie asked, suddenly feeling calmer as she sat down at the table. Baley nodded and looked up at her.
"Not really a siren..I'm everythin. I can be whoever or whatever I want. I'm connected to Gaia like I am God, like I am the devil. Duality."
"What, like a shape shifter or somethin?"
Baley chuckled lightly at the young woman's naiveness. She knew she had a lot to teach her and couldn't wait to get started. She's been watching her ever since she was reincarnated. Every night she slept as a little girl, she'd watch over her.
She knew Eve didn't remember, but she was her imaginary friend at one point. She made sure no one else could see her but Eve, bringing her presents from her own home. She would create little books for her to read and even hand crafted her a doll that looked just like her from her red hair to her freckles.
When she was old enough, Baley simply wiped all the memories from her head and watched from afar as she became the young woman she was now. And God, if she wasn't as beautiful as she was in her past life to Baley, she was more.
"Your name was Qamar in your past life. You were the connection from the moon to the earth. One of the most powerful beings on this planet. You were killed...by a dark priest who preys on the elders in this community, tainting their beliefs about us. We used to live peacefully until they raided our home and burnt it to the ground. We tried to escape but they caught you and burned you in the white field.

I made sure to grab your ashes. I did a spell, praying to the Gods and deities that they bring you back to me in return of a sacrifice. And they did."
Eve-Marie stared at Baley with her mouth wide open. Her eyes were filled with tears as she stared at the older woman who wiped her own face as she frowned.
"So what does this mean? Like what am I supposed to do? Ion even remember nothin'. Am I supposed to be my mama? Like-"
"In due time you'll learn."
"I want to learn now." Eve-Marie demanded, causing Baley to smirk widely, her sharp teeth glistening under the natural light.
Just as stubborn as she used to be.
"You want to? Fine. Tonight will be our first ritual."
"Ritual? What you mean? We not making like potions and stuff?" Eve asked causing Baley to laugh loudly, the birds fluttering away.
"You need to learn your power first. The fun stuff comes later..for now, go on upstairs and draw us a bath. We gonna be doin our first lesson...or potion. Whatever."
The milky bath shined under the natural sunlight as Baley slipped more rose peddles inside. She mixed it with her hands, the smell of lavender, mint, and chamomile filling Eve's nostrils. Baley looked over at the young woman and licked her lips slightly as her eyes roamed her body discreetly. She was in a sheer white gown, her hair loose around her face.
God..This life has nothing on her.
"Come. Let's start." Baley breathed before exhaling fire and lighting two incense sticks causing Eve to gasp.
"Can I do that?" Eve asked quietly before exhaling into the air and pouting slightly causing Baley to snicker quietly. She didn't remember her lover being so aloof in their past life, but it warmed something in her chest. It was a feeling she couldn't quite understand.

"So, I will be chantin as you lay in the water. This is to help you recenter and claim your energy back. You may remember certain things, but if you don't it's okay. We don't want to overwhelm you."
Eve nodded and slipped her hand slowly into Baley's and gasped as a surge of electricity ran down her spine causing her to pull her hand back.
"You felt that?" She asked. Baley smirked and nodded before taking her hand and kissing her fingers, the same feeling traveling through her entire body.
"That's what happens when you meet your mate. Your body recognizes me."
Eve blushed and looked down at the tub before slowly stepping in. Baley watched as she laid into the milk bath, her skin being covered by it completely.
(This is not a real language before yall try and come for me.)
"Bah la, so la, risheh tu so limeh.." Baley repeated over and over. Eve snorted, but mumbled a sorry as Baley glared down at her before shutting her eyes and starting to chant again.
Eve felt her eyes grow heavy before sinking down into the water. Her eyes stayed shut and her breathing became normal. She felt herself sink deeper into the tub, but gasped as she suddenly felt as if she was in the ocean. She opened her eyes and saw she was in a pool of milk, her breathing still intact.
'Relax..try to remember..' Baley's voice echoed from the milky water. Eve closed her eyes again and allowed her body to float through the bath, before surrendering completely.
Different voices and memories swarmed her head, the warm feeling of soft lips on her forehead and the sound of moaning filling her mind. She remembered every single kiss, every single bite from her lover. She remembered her death, her reincarnation. She remembered Baley as a child, giving her gifts and playing with her.
Kissing her knee when it was scraped, healing her skin. Scaring away anyone who tried to harm her.
She remembered everything. Both lives living inside of her.
Eve gasped as she sat up from the water, her chest moving heavily as Baley wiped her face. She looked around panicked and saw that the sun was down and it was pitch black except for the soft lamp and candles Baley had.
"You did well, you did well. What did you see?" Baley asked as Eve tried to calm her breathing, still looking around panicked.
"Wasn't it just morning?"
"You was out the whole day. I was worried, that never happened before. What you saw, Eve?!" Baley asked as she shook Eve's shoulders. She wiped her face before looking up at Baley and placing a small hand on her cheek.
"Everything. I believe you."

The Spark
Michael Locke was a normal student, who went through his normal day in a normal fashion, until the day became... unnatural. Shot into the country of Aldemar and thrust into a new world alongside his many classmates, he agrees to work for the king in exchange for shelter and to learn magic. Fate however, is indifferent to his wishes, as he quickly realizes that he may be a hero, but his purpose in this world is quite opposite. Suddenly surrounded on every side, Michael must work to survive, and if anyone finds his secret... He's as good as dead. The Spark is meant to be a murder mystery style isekai, focused on the existence of basically an anti-hero, with every one of the large amount of heroes attempting to discover who the traitor is. This isn't made to be a lovey dovey easy going isekai with an OP mc, it's made to stir around an emotional story, with many dark tones. Still, the goal is to stay fairly light hearted as well, and the perspective will pass around to several characters throughout the story.
