《A Fiery Love: A Charlie Weasley Love Story》Chapter 40: Tomorrow

"Do I look ok?" I asked in anticipation.
"You look beautiful." Molly said with tears in her eyes. "Oh dear, look at me! Getting all worked up and it's not even the wedding day yet!"
Tomorrow was the day we were going to get married. I was so excited I thought I would burst out of my skin. I wasn't going to see Charlie until tomorrow since tonight was my bachelorette party. I still had no idea what we were going to be doing, but I knew it was going to be fun.
I stared at myself in my wedding dress trying to imagine what Charlie was going to think. Some small part of me hoped he would cry, but I really doubted that was going to happen.
"Are you excited for tonight?" Asked Hermione with a wink.
"Now you girls need to behave yourselves! I don't want to see Izzy falling all over the place tomorrow!" Molly gave us a stern look.
"Oh Mum don't worry! She's not going to be like that tomorrow." Ginny said rolling her eyes." Besides, she's the only one of us that isn't married!"
"Angelina's not married!" Molly added.
"Yeah, but she's only staying for a while." Ginny corrected.
"Regardless." I interrupted before a fight broke out. "I promise we won't get too wild." I gave her a soft smile and she returned it.
"I believe you." Molly fixed the back of my dress and watched as I slowly took in what I saw. "Charlie's going to cry when he sees you."
"Yeah right." I said with a chuckle. "He didn't even cry when one of the Horntails bit him!"
"You never know; he might surprise you." Molly added giving me a small nudge.
"Alright, I'm going to take this off now. It's making me want to cry." I said hopping down from the pedestal and scurrying into the dressing room. Fleur followed me in to help me get undressed.
"You really do look beautiful in that dress Isabella." She smiled at me as she unzipped me. "How are you feeling?"
"Alright, just nervous."
"I was too, but all those nerves went away as soon as I saw Bill waiting for me at the alter." Her eyes softened and looked so happy.

"I wish I would have known you better back then." I said. I had known of her since she was a Triwizards Champion along with Cedric, Harry, and Krum.
"I knew of you." She said with a smile. "That Diggory boy talked nonstop about you. He was really fond of you, just as you were with him."
"That was a long time ago." I felt my throat close up.
"You don't need to be ashamed of loving someone other than Charlie." She took my hand in hers. "I know it must've been painful when he passed."
My mind drifted back to the last time I saw Cedirc alive.
"Izzy!" I heard Cedric call out.
"Hey Ced!" I smiled at him. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?"
"I should, but I wanted to see you before." His eyes look worried.
"You're dumb Ced." I nudged his arm. His face looked so tired even with the small smile he had on. "Did you even sleep last night?"
"Not really." He shrugged his shoulders. Cedric wouldn't tell me if he was scared or worried about something, but you could see it all over his face.
I looked into his eyes trying to see what he was hiding. All I could see was how tired he looked, and that something was bothering him.
"Don't worry about me Izzy." He smiled at me. "I've beaten two of the tasks. I'm sure I can handle anything else they throw at me." He gave me a cocky grin.
"If you hadn't asked me how to get by a dragon you would have been swallowed whole!" I said punching his arm.
"Did I ever thank you for that?"
"No." I said putting my hands on my hips.
"Aw I'm sorry." He said wrapping his arms around me. I took in his scent and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Be safe." I whispered into his chest.
I felt something on the top of my head. I looked up to see Cedric watching me; memorizing my face. I felt my cheeks get hot at the thought of what might happen next. He bent down and kiss my lips softly.
"Thank you." He said. "I'll see you after the task."
I watched him walk away from me. His cloak swayed as he turned the corner.

That was the last time I ever saw my best friend alive. I cried for months after his death, and even now I would sometimes get chocked up with the memory of him.
"Isabella?" Fleur asked wiping a tear from my cheek. "Are you alright?"
"Fine. Just remembering the last time I saw him." I said without a care.
"He would be so happy that you're getting married and living your life, you know that right?" She said pulling my t-shirt over my head.
"Yeah." I smiled a little. "He probably would try and get to know Charlie better, or try and fight him; one of the two." I laughed thinking about what it would be like between the two of them.
"Now that's the smile that I love to see." She smiled at me.
"Are you almost done in there?" Asked Molly.
"Yeah." I said walking out ready to take on what was next.
Charlie's POV
We've been drinking since noon, and it was now 6 PM. Bill, Harry, Ron, George, and Percy were laying around everywhere too drunk to even do anything. I was pretty sure we were going to keep drinking, but we needed a small break and perhaps some food to keep our energies up.
"I think this... bad idea." Piped up Harry. A little part of me felt guilty for getting him and Ron wasted, but they really didn't seem to mind.
"I think you're dumb Harry." Ron said crawling towards me. "Charlie, are we going to do anything else besides this?" I was surprised I understood what he said.
"I don't know. Do you guys want to do something else?" I asked getting up from the couch.
"I think we should get food." Said Ron. No surprise there.
"That's all you ever think about, fat-ass." George said laughing. "Well you guys will have to go without me. I have to go take care of the baby so Angelina can go out for a bit."
"That sucks to be you." Bill said messing with his shirt. "We left Vickie with Mum and Dad so we could go out."
"She's not comfortable yet." George sounded like he was just saying words not knowing what they meant.
"You should eat something so you can sober up just a little." Percy said from somewhere behind the couch.
"We're so fucked for tomorrow." I said laughing.
Izzy's POV
The girls decided to go out dancing. I was excited to go out and just have a good time. I was pretty sure the boys weren't doing anything too bad, but I couldn't have been wrong. We all wore tight, short dresses with huge high heels that we knew we were going to regret later. The club we went into was playing great music and we all went straight to the dance floor.
"Let's get a few drinks." Hermione said after dancing for a while.
"Bride has to do a shot." Ginny winked at me.
"One shot and that's it!" I said walking towards the bar.
"What can I get for you beautiful ladies?" The young bartender asked.
"Five girly drinks of any kind, and a nice big shot for the bride to be here." Fleur said using her Veela charms.
"Getting hitched?" He asked entranced by Fleur.
"Yeah." I said blushing.
He gave the drinks to us; all of them were different colors, and put the shot in front of me. I rolled my eyes as the girls gestured for me to take it. It burned as it hit the back of my throat, and two seconds later I could feel the effects.
"Burn a little?" Angelina said winking at me.
"Just a little." I said laughing.
"Come on! Let's dance!" Fleur shouted over the music.
Angelina left shortly after that so she could be with the baby and George. As the night went on we had a few more drinks realizing that we were a little too intoxicated. Somehow we managed to apparate ourselves without leaving body parts behind. We went to Hermione's house since all the boys were over at mine and Charlie's place.
"Did you see that weirdo trying to dance on Ginny." Hermione busted out laughing.
"He was so gross!" Ginny howled with laughter. "How about Fleur using her Veela-ness to get us free drinks all night?"
"What can I say? If you got it flaunt it!" She said batting her eyelashes. We all let out a loud laugh. My stomach began to hurt from how much we were laughing.
"We're so fucked for tomorrow." We all let out another blasted laugh.

Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
