《The Thorned Rose》13

It has been a couple months since I saw this bombshell at the ball, she caught my eye immediately. She stood at the bar by herself, swirling her martini around with an olive, not giving a damn that she was alone, never showing any anxiety. All of the advances of different men, she rejected, handing out all of the free drinks she was bought over to random people she had never met. She was the only person at the event who wasn't trying to get in my pants, and that intrigued me immensely; sometimes people want what they can't get.
When I saw her, dress ripped, covered in blood, gun in hand after just slitting the throat of a man I was supposed to be watching over for the night, it infuriated me and intrigued me even more, and then she disappeared out of the window and out of my life. I had to know her, I had to find her. I hired many different assassins to kill many different men, all deserved it, and we ambushed each assassin, but to no avail. When I saw someone leaving a building just after the target was shot in a coffee shop, who looked exactly like her, sort of, I was stunned, but still angry at the assassination on a man I considered family back at the ball.
In the evening, I saw her rose and her beautifully scrawled note, and the kiss at the end, and for some reason my heart fluttered. It has never done that in my entire life. I couldn't believe she completely hacked into my system and got into my house, full of a million guards and CCTV cameras, and got out completely unnoticed, with no footage of her doing it, because she froze all of the cameras.

A week later I found out exactly what Erasmo did, and why he was killed, and I smashed a lot of things because of how much I had been protecting him. Everyone was angry, although some people already knew, but were too scared to tell me in case I got angry at them, which was fair enough, I still got angry at them.
The next girl that made my heart flutter was the girl in the shop, she made me angry when she compared me to her boyfriend, but made smile with her sassy mouth. It also made me kind of sad hearing she had a boyfriend, who she bought a four thousand euro pocket square for, I was jealous, but also kind of proud and happy for her, of course I soon found out they were the same person.
The head on a silver platter, bags of cocaine and the CCTV footage that showed exactly how she killed the man I wanted dead left me gobsmacked. She was good, and she knew she was good. You must trust how surprised I was when I got back after raiding Vivaldo's warehouse and found an unconscious girl who looked exactly like the girl I met in the shop, who also turned out to be the assassin. My awe for her only ever increased watching how she barely flinched when being tortured, but watching the video made me so furious that anyone would dare touch her, and I wanted to go back in time and kill Vivaldo all over again, but this time slower, and much more painful. Ever since then I wanted her to be mine. I wanted to hold her, cuddle her, kiss her, fuck her. She was the perfect woman. She was a sassy badass, who could take down any man, even after giving them a knife and fighting only with her hands. She was sexy and she was gorgeous, and she kept me on my toes; I never knew what she was about to do next.

But I am a mafia-man, I don't do feelings and I don't do emotions, they make a man weak. The more people I care for the more people I have to think about protecting, the harder it is for me to do my job and protect them. I needed to get this girl out of my damn head, and go fuck someone, or pass out from drinking, or both. But I couldn't help still wanting her, and being glad she was in my house right now...

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.

Musings of a Hypocrite
Mortals are weird. They insisted in unity, as well as individualism. More often than not, they're shocked at truth and honesty, but not at falsehood and deceit. They asked questions with multiple answers, and provided answers that begged other questions. They made things to break, they destroyed things to study, they researched things to recreate. Humans, Elves, Beastmen. All of them. Within these contradictions, a miracle might manifest. But this tended to work with a trial and error methodology. Most mortals never got the happy ending. This diary is my journey alongside a few students of mine. In simple terms - they learn, they grow, they fight. They'll journey through centuries of conflict, from the physical to the educational. They'll experience the cruelty and benelovence of all living-kind. They'll experience the consequences of their choices and the blessings of their rewards. They will grow to become useful to me, or die trying like all the others. As for you? The god reading our lives like a book, sitting in your chair without a care in the world? I will show you, the farce that is known as 'God'.
