Matt was sitting in the hallway of the hospital when Danny came out of the room. He left his Daredevil suit at Karen's apartment, hidden under the floor.
"You ok? Need a drink?" Danny asked, taking a seat beside Matt.
Matt didn't answer but he continued to stare to the wall. Danny decided to not push him too far. He just waited until he spoke.
"How is she?" Matt spoke after a while.
"She'll live. We'll transfer her to a better facility upstate." Danny sighed, "You can speak with the doctor if you want."
Matt nodded and patted Danny in the back. He entered the room to see a female doctor with Karen. She seemed surprise with Matt's arrival.
"May I ask who are you?" The doctor asked as Matt entered.
"I'm Ms. Page's friend. Matthew Murdock." Matt smiled.
"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know." She reached out to Matt, "I am Doctor Amadeus Cho. Mr. Rand called me to check on her."
"Will she be okay?" Matt asked, taking a seat beside Karen.
"She will be okay. She's going to make it. It's just that the bullet was really deep inside her." Dr. Cho pointed at her, "You can see she got hit really bad at the side."
"I'm wondering who has gone under your care in your career?" Matt wondered.
"Well..." Dr. Cho started to remember, "The patient who had the highest reputation was Clint Barton of the Avengers. He got shot in the stomach really bad so I replaced the skin with his tissue."
"Are you planning to do the same to her?" Matt smirked.
"Of course not. Barton's injury was much more severe. Her injury can be healed with normal procedures." Dr. Cho bit her lip, "My only concern with her is that she lost a lot of blood. It may take a few weeks until she could recover."

"I'll be back in a moment." Matt excused himself out of the room.
In the hallway he saw Danny and Luke chatting. He decided to walk up to him and actually have a real conversation.
"What's the news?" Matt asked, sighing as he entered the conversation.
"Remember when I told you that Fisk got out a few days ago? Well he's doing business already." Danny said.
"Madame Gao is looking to be partners with Fisk again since she lost so much money with the Hand." Luke added.
"How do you know that?" Matt asked.
"Let's say Harlem never stays quiet." Luke said but Matt seemed confused, "I know a lot of people."
"I'll deal with Fisk and Bullseye. Just find Madame Gao and apprehend her. I'll be her replacement for tonight." Matt started walking the other way. "Where's Fisk?"
"Near the river of Hell's Kitchen!" Luke shouted down the hallway. Once Matt was out of sight, he looked at Danny, "She's at Chinatown. Let's go before she arrives."
Matt started running towards his apartment to grab his suit.
Fisk and Bullseye were patiently waiting for Madame Gao to show up. They were sitting on the metal table with guards at the entrance. The place they picked was very secretive and left no trace of criminal activity. Bullseye started to smoke.
"How old were you when you joined the military?" Fisk asked. "I'm sorry but I never saw it in your record."
"25. After a few years of training, I came home to see my house on fire with my parents in it." Bullseye sighed.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Fisk muttered, "And who burned your house down?"
"My brother. Little son of a bitch tried to run and hide but I found him." Bullseye chuckled.

"What did you do to him?"
"I killed him. Stabbed him in the chest so he could feel the pain consume the bastard. After that I spent a few years in prison but I broke out."
"Have you met some highly classed criminals in the place they were holding you?"
"Not much. Victor Creed, Maxwell Dillon, and Justin Hammer."
"So I assume you broke out?"
"They broke out. I just followed the destruction by a man who goes by the name of Rhino."
"I heard of that story." Fisk smiled but stopped when Bullseye sensed something. "What are you hearing."
"The Daredevil." Bullseye smiled.
Two security guards were thrown up the stairs by the man in the red suit. He used his batons to beat the two men senselessly. Blood spilled onto his suit, the floor and the walls. When he stood up, he smiled.
"Sorry Gao couldn't attend. Looks like you have to deal with me." Matt said.
Bullseye looked at Fisk, "He said it himself, didn't he?"
Bullseye grabbed his knives out and started attacking Matt. Move after move, Matt was successfully beating down Bullseye with ease. All until Matt missed was the opportunity for Bullseye to fight. His right hand was stuck between Matt's thigh so he threw his knife in the air, caught it with his left hand and stabbed Matt. He groaned in pain and tried to stand up. Bullseye kicked Matt to the wall and started beating him. Suddenly Fisk gave Matt a little bit of a knock in the face.
"Murdock. You ruined my life!" Fisk started punching Matt, "My fiancée! My house! My money! And now you get to feel what it's like."
"You'll..." Matt coughed with blood spitting out, "Never."
Fisk continuously punched him until the wall almost broke.
"Never what, Murdock! Are you finished?"
"Win." Bullseye shot Matt with a shotgun to the leg.
"Try recovering from that, asshole!" Bullseye shouted.
"Take it easy, Pondexter." Fisk looked at Matt and smiled, "I need to speak with him."
Fisk threw Matt across the room and Bullseye placed him on the chair. Bullseye grabbed some things outside while Fisk sat across Matt.
"Not so tough, are you Murdock?" Fisk said, looking at his eyes, "Do you know how much you costed me?"
"More than you?" Matt chuckled and Fisk smashed his face on the table.
"You're a very funny man!" Fisk stabbed a knife into his chest and left it there. After a few more groans from Matt, he drove the knife deeper, "Is it funny, Mur-"
"Wilson!" Bullseye shouted from the stairs, "We have unusual activity going on. I suggest we leave."
"It isn't over yet, Murdock." Fisk smiled and started fixing his buttons, "Blow the bottom part off."
Matt started shouting for help. He was helpless and he was tied to a chair. But he could sense a voice calling out to him.
"It's alright. It will blow up but you won't feel a thing." Someone said in Matt's head.

Mystic Nan
Note: Currently undergoing rewrite, we'll be back soon!(If you enjoy this story, it would help immensely if you considered voting for it at topwebfiction, thank you.) Nan Beauchamp, like many youths of the year 2000-something; will live, work, and die as less than a footnote of a footnote within the abridged history of unremarkable years. This suits her fine. Too bad about the truck that turned her into paste, then. Luckily, or unluckily, fate deigned to give the poor girl another chance to make something of herself in a bizarre universe brimming with magic, spaceships, and... giant talking spiders? This "second chance" seems less than ideal. (A web serial import from Wordpress)

Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.
