Frank's POV
I open the door to Matt's apartment and slowly close it. It was long past midnight so I figured Matt would be sleep. If Matthew saw me like this he would worry.
I had two gashes going down my back, a gun wound in my shoulder and a stab wound by my outer ribcage.
I wince in pain as I tried to step out of my combat boots which were wet and covered in mud.
"Frank..." somebody says and I turn around immediately.
I try my best not to let a cry of pain because the sudden movement made my wound tear.
I face Matt, his face was covered in sweat and he looked exhausted.
"Hey, what're you doing up it's like 4:00 in the morning. Don't you have to be at work soon?"
"I've been worried sick! You said you'd be back in an hour!"
"It was a bit of a rough mission. I was there longer than I expected."
"Did you catch the person you were looking for?" He asks coming closer to me.
"Yeah."
"That's good. Go take a shower and then head to bed, you smell horrible." Matt says passing me a towel.
"Thanks Red."
"Mhmm, I made dinner, it's in the microwave."
I thank him again and head to the bathroom. I shut the door behind me and lean against the sink.
I carefully try to take off my suit but the material of my clothing had clung onto my skin. I took a deep breath and yanked the clothing off.
I let out a small cry but tried to suppress it by biting onto my lip. I get out of my shirt and look at my reflection in the mirror. There was new blood in oozing out of my wound.
"Frank...are you OK?"
"I'm fine Red, go back to sleep." I say, my breath shaking.
"Do you need me to come in?"
"No Red."
"I'm coming in anyways just to make sure."
Before I was able to say anything the door was already open and Matt was coming inside.
"Frank, is everything alright..?"

A Monster Who Levels Up
This is a story of a man named Kim Sae-Jin, who one day, inexplicably wakes up as a Monster. Follow him and his perilous journey to get his life back as a Human, all the while growing even more versatile as a Monster in the process. This should be… complicated, somewhat.
8 1692Reincarnated as a Warlock with zero skill
My previous life was just as boring as yours. I was a marketing manager for a flooring company. The biggest challenge? Would the latest colour be called "Grey Oak" or "Oak Grey". Then, tragedy. I was struck down in the prime of my life by a negligent delivery driver and a pallet of laminate flooring - which is significantly heavier than you think. So there I was, smeared on the floor, absorbed in my own self pity. Where would I go? Heaven? Hell. Did I care? Apparently that was not what fate had in store for me. Reborn in a world of dragons and fantasy, I became a Warlock. A pretty darn important one too. The problem, I had little to no affinity to magic and I spent most of my time doing my best to avoid danger. Danger however, would not avoid me. So, with my new life as an amazing Warlock you'd think it would be easy street right? Wrong. Forces gather to move against the Kingdom I am sworn to protect and, whilst my inward allegiance is to whomever is the victor, outwardly I must lead the resistance against the invaders. With my skilled companions Asha - a mage that can actually do magic and Torg - a swordsman sworn to protect me, I can only hope that they distract the enemy long enough for me to run away.
8 117Arcana Legends
Naturalism is the power to use arcana to shape the world around you and it's Daimyon's time to learn how to use this power. He enrolls at West Gaia Academy to start this long journey where he meets a shy girl named Kiyonna who holds incredible hidden power and is immediately thrust into protecting her from the dangerous Shadow Walkers. On the bright side Bones "The Spirit Reaper" decided to take him under his wing and train him. He'll protect his friends at any cost unless Bones training kills him first. On Hiatus.
8 89The life of the "Omnipotent" Being
"I wish i get reincarnated" And thus starts the life of the omnipotent
8 138Desolate Stars
Human civilisation has at last settled into their place in the galaxy. Trade flourishes and civilisation resurges. Technology is finally catching up to the wonders of days bygone. But that’s only on the surface. Humanity is always a little uglier beneath the skin. A life among the stars. Travelling. Seeing new sights. Is it a good life? Is it a bad life? That depends. Because usually it isn’t that simple. And it’s never the stars you have to watch out for, it’s the people around you. Kik is soon shoved into a position he has no choice but to take. He’s just a tool in the great game of galactic politics. But every tool has their uses, and this particular tool has his own will. This is a science fiction adventure story. I’m attempting to go with gritty realism.
