Frank's POV
"Frank, is everything alright..?" Matt asked shutting the door behind him.
"Y-Yeah Red..."
Matt came closer to me and touched my side making me wince in pain.
"What the hell Frank! Why didn't you tell me you were bleeding? This is a serious wound and the blood loss is tremendous!" Matt yells and looks at me with disappointment written all over his face.
"I didn't want you to worry, I'm sor-"
"You don't get to be sorry Frank! Do you know how angry I am at you?"
"I know I know and I'm so-"
"I don't want to hear it Frank! Go sit on the couch and wait..." Matt scolds pointing out the door.
I did what I was told and sat on the couch to wait for Matt. Shortly after he came over with a first aid kit in hand.
"Lay down." He commanded, annoyance in his voice.
I lay down and wait for my next instruction.
"What happened to you?" Matt asked softly tracing his fingers on my chest and lower abdomen, brushing over my swollen bruises and cuts.
"Nothing... I've had worse."
Matt glared at me, stopping me from protesting any longer. He poured the disinfectant spray over my open wound making my grunt in pain.
"Stay still, it's almost over."
"It burns..." I hiss holding onto his shoulders.
"I know, it'll be over soon."
After he was done cleaning my wound, he sewed up my side and took care of the rest of my body.
"Alright Frank, I think that's it." Matt informed.
"Thanks Red."
"Are there any cuts on your face?" Matt asked.
"Yeah, on my left cheek."
His fingers travelled up from around my neck to my face. Matt's soft fingers traced along my skin, his face getting closer to mine with every minute.

He leans in, so his forehead rests against mine. I sit up and pull him closer to me, wrapping my arms around his torso.
I look into his eyes, there were a dark earthy brown. His eyes glistened like an old copper penny in the sun.
"Thank you," I say, my voice barley more than a whisper.
"For what?" he mumbles, his thumb stroking my cheek.
"For everything. For letting me stay here, for patching and for being...you."
"Frank... I-" Just as Matt going to finish he was cut off by a knock at the door.

Loot Sisters is a light-hearted flash fiction serial of 100-word episodes inspired by RPGs and hunting for quests. I don't have a set plan for where the story goes, as each week, I write my story around three random words posted weekly on The Prediction (an online flash fiction challenge group). I hope you enjoy the story! :) My characters include Maya (the narrator and a bit of a rogue-like character), Vera (our healer/mage), Felicia (resident navigator and lover of gadgets), and Rach (a fighter/brawler).
