I woke up on Hyunjin's sofa, checking the time as I didn't want to be late for work.
8:00.
I need to run.
"Bye Hyunjin-" I said, kissing his cheek as I was about to run out the door.
He caught my hand though.
"I'll drive you." He said and led me out the house, his hair a little puffy.
"Thanks." I said as we got into his car after quickly walking from his apartment down to the parking lot.
"You have a very nice car." I said quietly and he chuckled.
"Annie- do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked suddenly as he drove onto the main road, about 5 minutes drive from my house.
I didn't answer for a few seconds.
I like him.
I don't love him, not yet anyway.
"Alright, I'll be your girlfriend." I said happily.
"YAY!" He said, doing some weird aegyo which made me want to cry, but it was sort of cute.
"Could you wait outside and take me to work? Sorry..." I asked, but he just smiled.
"Sure." He said, and I hurried inside my apartment, throwing on my work attire and running back outside to Hyunjin's car.
"Right, do you know where I work?" I asked, getting out my phone.
"Show me the way." He said, as I started to instruct him and we got to my school at 8:25, a few minutes before registration started.
I kissed Hyunjin's cheek and ran inside, blushing a little as I walked into my classroom, calmly.
"Good morning class, sorry I'm a little later than usual." I said, sitting down and getting out my diary.
"Hello Miss Wang!" Dami said, standing at my desk.
"Good morning Dami, how was, did you have dancing yesterday?" I asked, knowing her extra-curricular activities because she told me.
"It was fun, Mr Hwang taught me a lot!" She said, smiling.
I giggled a bit with her as we talked about her dog but it was soon registration and I had to become teacher rather than friend.
Fuck. Parent's evening.
School finished at 4 as usual, and I hurried to the school's main hall for parent's evening, meeting each of the parent's properly for the first time this year.
"Hello-" I said to each parent and I was finally at the last parental couple, it was now almost 8pm.
"Hello- Mr and Mrs Lee." I said to the rude parent and his 'wife' who sat down in front of me.
"Oh we're not married." The woman said rudely.
"My apolo-"
"Don't apologize-" She said interrupting me again.
"Alright then." I said, trying to stay calm because she was resting my patience.

"Let's talk about Dami." I said, getting out the notes I made about her.
"So.."
"Can you get to the point?" She said.
"Sorry- right, Lee Dami. She's a lovely girl and we have fun chats each morning because she gets in so ear-"
"We know she's lovely-" The mum said.
"Let the teacher speak Miyoung-" Minho said, then looking back at me.
"I am trying to." I said quietly and thankfully she didn't hear.
"I'll tell you about her subjects, Maths, Korean and English, ok?" I said, she nodded reluctantly.
"She is very talented in Maths, being top in the class-"
"Even English, which isn't her native language she is doing amazingly well in. She's very talented, both sportingly and academically." I said, smiling as I thought about Dami. I'm not supposed to have favourites but I loved Dami.
"How's life at home?" I asked, instantly regretting the question.
Her dad, Lee Minho, looked at me with sad eyes as his ex-partner began to have a go at me.
"How dare you ask about-" She started to shout.
"Miyoung- calm down."
"How da-"
The two of them started arguing about nonsense and I tried to break it up, but it ended up getting worse.
"How must Dami feel if she's surrounding by this fighting all the time?!" I shouted at the parents who finally shut up.
"Don't speak about my parenting- you don't have children, you have no-"
"Yes, you're correct, I don't have children. But I am trained in looking after children because I am a teacher. Go check my qualifications because I am more qualified than you, Miyoung-ssi." I said, fed up with what had just occurred. I was embarrassed as well.
She finally shut up.
"I honestly feel sorry for Dami." I said, shaking my head and getting up.
"You both need to work out your differences because it's going to hurt Dami, even if you don't want it to." I said, grabbing my bag and walking out the school hall.
"Miss Wang?"
"Dami?" I asked.
She ran over to me and hugged my legs.
"Why were Mummy and Daddy arguing?"
"It doesn't matter, it was just a little misunderstanding." I said, squatting down to her level, and she smiled.
"Why aren't you at home?" I asked her, her dad running out into the corridor where we were from the hall.
"Daddy?" Dami asked, staying over by me rather than running over to him.
"Come on Dami, let's go home." He said, holding out hisbahdnd.
"But-" Dami started to fight.
"Dami you need to go home, you'll be tired tomorrow." I said, smiling at her.

"How are you getting home?"
"I'm drivi- actually, I need to phone-" I said, remembering I didn't drive to school today.
"We'll take you home!" Dami said, which made me chuckle.
"Daddy! Can we take Miss Wang home?!" Dami said, tugging on her dad's shirt.
"Come on." Her dad said, he must be feeling awkward after the conversation he 'had' with me over the phone.
We walked to the car in silence except for Dami talking about her dance teacher.
"Which dance school do you go to Dami?" I asked, sitting in the back with her, her teacher sounding more and more like Hyunjin.
"1 Million Dance." She said, and my jaw dropped.
"What? Do you know it?" She asked.
"Sorry- my boyfriend works there. I think he might be your teacher." I said, smiling as I called Hyunjin my 'boyfriend'.
"Who is he?!" Dami asked excitedly, making me smile.
"Hwang Hyunjin." I said.
"MR HWANG!" She shouted and I chuckled.
"That's him." I said, giggling.
My eyes caught with Mr. Lee's in the rear view mirror, and he looked annoyed, probably because he hates me for literally no reason.
"Right, my address." I said, getting out my phone.
"Just tell me the directions." He said, Dami was hugging me and she even slept.
"It's a right here, then the second left." I said quietly to Mr Lee because Dami was asleep.
He stopped outside my apartment, and I lifted Dami off of me.
"Thank you for bringing me home Mr. Lee." I said, bowing.
"Call me Minho-" He said.
I felt blush flowing up my cheeks, as I closed the door.
I ran inside and heard their car drive away, so I relaxed.
Why am I so nervous around him?
The next day I had to deal with Jeongin, a little boy in my class, falling down the stairs so I had to take him to hospital.
I phoned Hyunjin when I got back home, setting up a date for Saturday evening.
Suddenly, as the clock struck 8pm, there was a knock on my door.
I looked through the peephole, seeing Dami and Minho standing outside my door.
I opened it, slightly worried about why on earth they were outside my door.
"How did you- what happened?" I asked, seeing Dami have tears falling down her cheeks.
"Oh Dami- it's alright. Come in." I said, closing the door behind them and picking her up, hugging her.
"Why are you here?" I asked Minho, because Dami was still crying quietly.
"Miyoung- Miyoung hit her."
"Huh?" I asked.
"Miyoung hit Dami." Minho said quietly.
"It's alright Dami- do you want to- are you hungry?" I asked, "I've got sweets in my cupboard."
She perked up a little bit as I got the sweets for her.
"Do you want to go watch TV? I'm just going to talk to your dad for a minute ok?" I said, handing her the remote and sending her to the living room.
"Right- tell everything." I said, "Do you want a drink?"
"A coffee?" I asked, he nodded.
I made two coffees and a squash for Dami, quickly went to give it to her and came back to the kitchen where Minho was sitting.
"What on earth happened?"
"Miyoung has bipolar- and became angry..." Minho said, taking a deep breath.
I didn't push him as he explained the story of the violence.
Dami wasn't injured but Minho didn't want her living with her anymore.
"Why did you come here though? Why didn't you go home?"
"I left my keys at work- I live with my friend Woojin, but he was out and Dami wanted to see you..."
"Alright- do you want to stay over then? I can take Dami to school tomorrow." I said, smiling weakly. I have a soft spot for Dami.
"Would she be able to stay for a day or two? I've got to sort out a new place for us to live." He said. "She can't live with Woojin and I."
"Sure." I just nodded, it was probably a man-cave.
"Where was Miyoung's new partner- Chr- Chris was it?" I asked, shrugging.
"Chan, or Chris. Yeah, they broke up a few days ago, the day before parents evening." He explained, I nodded.
"Right- you can go tell Dami ok?" I told him, going to make the spare bed.
After 5 minutes I walked into the living room where Dami was asleep, sleeping on Minho's lap.
"Right- the room's ready when you want to go." I said, sitting down on the sofa next to him.
"Thank you."
I turned my head to see Minho looking at me, his eyes both thankful and apologetic.
"It's not a pro-"
"Seriously- thank you." He said, "I was wrong."
"Said reluctantly."
"My Pride-" Minho whined which made me laugh, "I'm saying thanks, just accept it please."
"I have." I said with a smile, turning back to the TV.
My hearts beating so quickly.
"Night Miss Wang." He said, picking up Dami after an hour or so.
"Call me Annie."

Jack of All Trades, Master of All
Jack was reincarnated, again. This time, the omnipotent sphere had finally revealed to him that this new world was, in fact, the real one, and his soul had just returned to his body after two years of coma. During that span, the Earth or the magical world No.146, where he was The Grand Sage, was just a simulation experience. Jack inherited the System of Knowledge from his former self in the previous world. But gradually, he realized there were other Returners, holding other powerful Systems that they themself were also granted. The reason? The Omnipotent Sphere refused to give an answer. With the ever-burning desire to find his former friends and companions at World No.146 after their souls too were returned to this world, Jack began his journey. Ahead of him, five hundred years old as he technically was, there might be some surprises he still wasn’t prepared for. This is an original translated work. I’ve always wanted to challenge my writing skill and post on Royalroad a few times, but, as it turned out, I realized my own English capability still limited me. Therefore, I am currently working with a team of three, hence the name Triopals, consisting of me, the author, a translator, and an investor who really put his faith in this project. My translator and I will work together to deliver four chapters each week. Depending on the translating, editing, re-reading, checking, and re-reading-again process, the chapters will be uploaded each day or all at once. Careful as we may be, there can still be some errors at our best, so we welcome grammatical corrections, etc. We are very appreciative of your support.
