Something was different this time, Devilin knew as soon as he closed his eyes, they were no visions nothing but it was as if he was floating in the air.

"Miracle, what's going on?" he calls the girl for some answers but hears nothing.

Devilin finally sees a little light so he runs to it, anything to help him get out of the darkness.

Another forest, he sighs as he looks around before wandering around till he hears some crying so he rush to find out what it is and what he sees stuns him.

There lays his mate screaming and crying on the ground

"Adriana" he shouts as he tries to go to her and help her but just a he nears her, his own hands burns as well.

He gasps shaking his hands trying to put the flame away but the flame just brightens but he does not feel any pain like his mate was feeling which makes him frown.

"Miracle, what is going on?" he shouts as he looks around the forest to see no one and slowly his mate's cries fades away.

He jerks up in the bed and gets up at once; he hurries to walk out of the room as his mate was in some trouble.

He does not know what that vision was about but he knows his mate was in pain and he has to find her soon.

He goes to make his way out of the house but a loud scream from somewhere stops his dead in his tracks.

"Scar" Adrian's loud cry makes him to rush to see what was happening and like a slow motion, he finds Scar falling down and crying.

Devilin watches in a trance as Scar's whole body starts to get surrounded by flames same as he just witnessed in his mate.

"What...what's going on?" he asks scared, as he cannot think if this was one of his vision or reality.

"Scar, honey" Adrian holds his mate as he tries to help her but her cries keep getting louder.

Devilin shakes his head and tries to help them somehow so he rushes to the couple's side and touches Adrian shoulder to ask what he can do.

That is when the pain starts in his own body.

"What...?" Adrian gasps as he lets go of Scar's body before crumbling on the floor in pain himself.

Everyone in the house stands still as they watch what was happening in front of them, as soon as Adrian's snarls and growls were started Scar's cries stopped.

Adrian's whole body was covered in flames this time and the signs on his shoulders and body were moving so fast they could not even think what was happening before they all disappears from his body and travels into Devilin's body.

Devilin tries to hold back his cries as flames covers his whole body, he breathes heavily as the tattoos dance all over his body as if searching for the right place to settle down, he growls when it travels to his shoulder.

Devilin tries to crawl away as he feels his wings wanting to come out, as like him even they did not knew what was happening, but something stops them from moving freely.

After what seems like hours of pain finally, everything cools down, Devilin shivers and shudders as finally all of his pain goes away and a dull throb is what is left behind.

"Devilin?" Adrian's shock filled voice makes the boy to stare at the Alpha who stares at him wide-eyed not knowing what was going.

All of the tattoos Adrian had been carrying proudly for all these years were at once taken away from him, and for the first time in his life, he felt completely naked.

"What's going on?" Scar gasps as she stares at her husband's arms and shoulder before she stares at the same patterns of tattoo on Devilin's arms but somehow they were not the same.

"Rain, our marks" she asks not understanding why all of a sudden they felt such pain.

"Devilin what did you do?" Adrian asks in anger not understanding the situation himself.

Devilin cannot help but start to laugh at once, he just keeps laughing and laughing before he calms down a bit and looks around the room.

"This is called Miracle" he grins as he slowly gets up from the floor with shaky legs.

Devilin refuses to answer anything to Adrian, as they sit in the room waiting for everyone, to, come back. He tries hard to stay awake, as it seems his energy was getting low after everything.

He also knows once he is back to bed Miracle will come haunt him but before that he needs to clear a few things with everyone, he needs some answers.

When Enzo along with his father and Rom walks back in, he gets up but sits back in defeat seeing the expression of their faces.

"Raine's gone" Rom whispers those words but Devilin knew it even before he spoke.

"This is just fucking unbelievable," Dante whispers as he clearly sees the patterns once Adrian carried on his body.

"Will you now tell me what the fuck is going on?" Adrian asks barely holding on to his anger.

"Even I don't know what is going on except before I got these tattoos in my body I had a vision of my mate getting the exact same ones your mate carries...

I do not know why we were chosen but from what I gather Thomas knew my mate would be the key and now she is with him," Devilin states with a sigh as he rubs his face, tiredly.

"But this just does not make sense, Oliver said someone just like Scar will be the next master but how can you and your mate..." Adrian stops speaking as he remembers something and his eyes widens.

"What?" everyone in the room asks as once?

"Raine, when she was here she used to call me Papa, she even said that...no but that's impossible right she cannot be my daughter, she..."

"Thomas has the girl," Emma's shout turns everyone towards the door she barged in.

"Thomas, he had taken the baby that night, one of the special kids helped him swap the baby"

"What the fuck does that mean?" Dante shouts at once as he gets up.

"The baby you all buried that night was not Adrian's daughter; they knew Scar was in labor that is why they attacked they already had planned to swap the girl who would be the next master...

They already had known it all along," she explains as she looks around the room before he eyes lands on her former Alpha.

"I am sorry, one of our kinds betrayed you like that, I wish we had not left and then may be we would have found out about it all"

"But how did you found out he took her?" Adrian whisper asks, as he could not put his head around everything.

"Through us" Cherry speaks as he walks inside the room with a mandrake in tow.

"Doofus" the mandrake hisses introducing himself.

"The fuck" Devilin curses as he recognizes the mandrake that helped Miracle run away that day.

"You..."

"I, Miracle friend." the mandrake speaks and just like that Devilin looses his consciousness.

Adriana does not know if it was a dream or long forgotten memories she had, but whatever it was, she was following it as if she had no mind of her own.

She follows the girl this time; she finally follows her just so the girl would stop bugging her. She comes to stop as she sees the sight in front of her.

"I know this place," she whispers before she looks around to ask the girl only to find herself alone.

She realizes that she was back in Martin land, but she has no clue why. She makes her way towards the Alpha's house not knowing why.

Raine comes to a stop as she finds people running from one room to another in hurry, a commotion from down the hall makes her change the direction and she walks towards it.

"Ad, you can see she has lost a lot of blood, I don't think we can save both of them. It's either Scar or your daughter," a man speaks with her father.

"What...but" her father chokes at the news loosing all the color from his face.

Walking towards where her mother was laying Adrian holds her hands.

"I'm so sorry, honey," he whispers kissing her forehead.

"Save our baby, Rain" Scar cries but Ad just shakes his head no.

"I can't, I can't live without you Scar," he cries, as he cannot imagine his life without her.

"No, you can't she has a right to be here" Scar protests knowing what his decision was.

"We already have two, we don't need more and I will let you have as many as you want except this one, please" Adrian begs being selfish for once in his life as he can't let his Scar die knowing he can save her even if the sacrifice is hard to make.

"No, no Rain don't, please" Scar cries holding his hands tightly before Adrian detaches himself away from her

"Matt, save Scar" he finalizes ignoring Scar's pleas.

Raine turns her back and runs out of the house, as she cannot take it, seeing what her fate was; she runs and runs not knowing where she was going but even if she runs and does not want to face the truth the scenery changes.

Raine feels a chill run inside of her as she finds herself standing facing Thomas but it was just she that sees him, as he was busy throwing the dead girl in his grip.

Raine winces as the lifeless body of the woman lies on the ground and then a howl of pain is followed soon making her realize that she was someone's mate.

"Wake up, wake up, this is all a dream, wake up Raine" she whispers to herself as she tries to turn around from the dreadful scenario but no matter how much she turns she ends up in the same place.

The next thing she knows she has a hard time to breathe as in slow motion she watches Thomas kill the boy named Henry and then a different boy she knows all too well joins the scenario.

"Devilin" she whispers as if in trance, but that was not all.

Raine watches as Thomas just disappears from there all together leaving the injured Devilin and a hardly breathing Ariel.

She cannot seem to move at all, not when Devilin pulls out the dagger from his leg with a loud cry before crawling towards Ariel and trying to wake the girl up.

Raine winces once again as she sees the state Ariel was in so she turns her back as Devilin covers the girl and carries her with him.

"Take me away please," Raine cries for the girl who brought her there but nothing changes.

She tries to calm her breathing trying to search for a way back but halts as she finds herself standing in front of a bundle covered in a white cloth.

She watches as Thomas once again walks back but this time someone was with him, he first picks up the dagger before his eyes land on the bundle, he pulls the cover off and Raine stares at the baby inside of it, she helplessly watches Thomas turning the baby back and forth before a grin appears in his face.

"Master, it seems our plan did not work as we thought" the kid speaks as he stares at the baby wrapped in the cloths.

"Ellen, don't worry the plan is still in work because I think I just found the key. Make sure no one knows the baby is gone, one of the men in the pack will tell you what to do" he orders as he once again stares at the baby and chuckles before he jumps high on the tree taking the baby away with him.

The scene changes on its own and she is inside a house, different then that of then one on the Martin's land, she walks straight without thinking ending up in a room with Thomas and the child he brought with him.

"Thomas, what have you done now?" a woman asks as he stands next to Thomas watching the child.

Raine tries to see the woman's face but cannot as the cloak she was wearing is hiding her face.

"I just found the key I have been looking for" Thomas replies and Raine walks towards where they were.

"The child is dead" the woman points out as she goes to move away from the child but Thomas stops her.

"Not if I do this" Thomas grins as he pulls the dagger he had and pushes it right in where the child's dead heart lies.

Raine gasps as if she felt the pain in her own chest and stumbles a bit clutching her hand to her heart.

"Are you out of your mind?" the woman shouts as she watches in horror.

"No, just wait" Thomas smiles sickly as he holds the woman away from the child.

"Thomas..."

"Ssh" he hushes her as they both watch the child and a slow grin appears in Thomas face.

"See, right there, did you hear it?" Thomas asks letting go of the woman and kneeling in front of the child as he slowly pulls the dagger out and the child starts to cry aloud.

"Oh my god Thomas what did you do?" the woman asks in shock.

"I just gave her something that would make her weak heart to beat once again"

"What do you mean? Whose blood is it?" she asks holding the dagger and watching it stunned.

"The first born of Dante, as we all know Dante's mother, she is a fallen angel. Dante's bloodline is one of the only remaining strong lines in our world...

I was not sure if it would have worked but look at this, her body is accepting the blood, just a little and she is already reacting to it"

"Still this is impossible, how her body can accept it, this fast?" the woman asks a bit wary.

"Even I am a bit surprised that it did but whatever I got what I need" he smiles as he holds the child in his arms and grins.

"But what about her parents won't they start looking for her?" the woman asks still unsure of this all.

"No, they will never get their hands on her, with what happened in their pack tonight I don't think they will even realize that I swapped the baby...

Right now, one of my men are burying the wrong child without Adrian's knowledge"

"What about her scent then, when she..."

"What scent, a dragon master is never born with a scent on them that is why they are so hard to track down...

That is why I could never get my hands on Oliver when he hid away from me that is how I knew she was the one...

This is the future, I have been waiting for; this is the Miracle I have been craving for. Now with her I will bring all of them down to their knees, my little precious Miracle" Thomas laughs while the child keeps crying.

Raine stumbles out of that place, her hand still near her heart as tears streams down her eyes not knowing where to go or what to do.

Even if Thomas did not know, why her body accepted the blood, it was all to clear to Raine, why it did.

Because the blood that saved her life was of her mate and that is why her body accepted it with so much ease.

"Take me out of here, someone, just take me out of here" she shouts as she wildly looks around.

She cannot take it anymore, her life once so simple was now complicated, all filled with lies and secrets. She cannot take it anymore.

She comes to a halt as she finds someone else running her way, she wipes her tears to watch who it was and if she was shocked before at what she found, seeing him was the last straw.

"Raine"

"No go away," she cries as she goes to run away from him but he wraps his arms around her.

"Raine, please stop, we need to talk"

"No, go away, leave me alone. You saw it all"

"Ssh, Ssh, calm down, it will be alright"

"No, nothing is right, nothing will be right" she sobs burying her head on his chest while he tries to wrap his head around the things he just saw.

His mate was the child Thomas took away. His mate was the lost child of Adrian and Scarlet, the one who everyone thought died that day.

"Adriana" he whispers but the girl just keeps sobbing and before he could ask something like all those times, she disappears away from him.
