《beautiful dreamer - t. laurence》chapter eighteen

The tangle of limbs could only be described as chaos to the outside world, but to Stella and Laurie, it was paradise.

"Stella?" Teddy asked, not quite breaking the quiet atmosphere. She hummed to prove that she hadn't fallen asleep just yet, although that was very tempting.

"I think we should go back to America soon. To visit, for a while. Maybe stay for a bit?" He suggested.

She nodded, humming in approval. Words did not express how much Theodore Laurence loved that girl.

"You're chatty today." He joked, chatting slightly. She was adorable, cheek pressed up against his chest, occasionally kissing the soft material of his shirt.

Her arm, which had just been wrapped around his torso, was used to push herself up to readjust the position they were in. She flopped down onto him, her head on his shoulder, her body nearly on top of his.

"No no no." Teddy grumbled, lifting her gently so she was lying on top of him, his chin pressed against the top of her head, so he could easily plant kisses like sunflower seeds.

Stella hummed contentedly again after being asked if she was comfortable enough.

When Stella asked Laurie if he was comfortable, he smiled, hidden to Stella and nodded. "Never been more comfortable in all my life, Elle."

Funnily enough, the bed they were in was quite like the world. A large surface area, with them as close as they possibly could be. And not just physically. Stella proved that point by kissing Laurie's collarbone, making him laugh instinctively.

Stella would do anything to hear him laugh, and the fact she could do it so easily amazed her. So she did it again, and again, and again, and again, until eventually, she yawned, making him tell her to stop so she could get some rest.

She agreed, but only if he would stay with her. Stay with her forever, and do nothing but promise to never leave.

And when they woke the next morning, nobody mentioned the fact that they were together again. Because nobody wanted it to ever happen again.

Stella woke first for a change, wiggling out of Laurie's grip to write a letter to her family.

To my dearest family, who I miss very much.

I'm sorry for the lack of letters since you've been gone. I've been incredibly busy with Amy, and only recently made up with Teddy.

The last time we talked I had fallen out with him, and had taken to calling him Laurie again, instead of Teddy, but we're back again. You're welcome.

As usual, the gifts are in the boxes, and the letters are attached to the top. I hope you enjoy them and like the little letters I wrote for you all.

It feels nice to write to you again, as I miss you all tremendously and cannot wait to see you again.

Much love,

Your Stella.

She added a few kisses and hugs to the end of the letter, before kissing the letter itself and putting it in an envelope. She then began to write a letter to Beth, who was the only one she hadn't written a letter to.

To my good sister, Beth.

I hope you are well, Bethy. I know that you loved the music that was played in France, so I managed to snag some music, and cannot wait until I'm back to sing with you.

I miss you more than you could ever know, and I hope that you are missing me half as much as I do.

Amy misses you. I can tell. She says she loves it here but I know she's like me in the sense that she just wants to be with her sisters again.

I don't know how Jo willingly moved away. I'm only here because someone has to look after the place, and I know Amy and Dennis are too busy fooling around to do that job. Amy only really stayed because of Dennis living here, and they are married, I suppose.

We've been having a picnic every week, and it every time we do I think of you, as I believe you would enjoy it very much.

I suppose I should go now, and wake Teddy up. Breakfast will be served soon and he would kill me if he missed breakfast.

I love you so much, Betsy, never forget that.

-Stels

"Teddy," Stella whispered, "Wake up."

She threw a cushion in his direction, managing to hit him on the head.

"You know a kiss would have been a nicer way to wake me up." Teddy said as Stella looked in the mirror, doing her hair.

"You know you love me." She laughed.

"I do."

Stella concealed her grin by looking in the drawer for her hairbrush, although she knew it was in the other one.

"Breakfast should be ready soon, get ready before we miss it." Stella changed the subject, looking at Laurie as she had managed to stop smiling.

"I don't want to get up. Come here, it's cold without you."

Stella shot a warning glance in Teddy's direction. For her it meant 'get up, stop messing', but for him, apparently it meant 'stay there and keep messing'.

"Come here!" He laughed, and Stella glared at him. He knew she couldn't resist a warm bed.

"No." She said, looking through other way so she wouldn't see his puppy dog eyes.

"I hate you." He joked, and Stella gasped, throwing another pillow at him.

"I suppose I'll just kiss and cuddle this pillow then, saying as it can't tell me they don't love me." Stella laughed at his comment.

"Shut up! And get up!"
