《The Girl Running From Shaw (X-men / Havok/ Alex Summers Story)》Chapter 3:

Everyone went closer to the window, I opened the door. All the guards were dead, everyone saw. We ran to the window, there stood Shaw and two mutants. One with a red tail. Everyone ran to the door. I stood still. Too much running for me.
"McKenzie. Good to see you. I've been looking for you for 5 years. You're a hard girl to find."
He smiled. He SMILED. Like he hadn't ruined my life. Like he hadn't taken any chance of a normal life from me.
"You killed my parents. You killed them!" I screamed.
"Azazel. Get her."The red man disappeared and reappeared behind me. His tail around my neck. I scratched and grabbed at his tail. We popped up next to Shaw. I had not been this close to him in 5 years. I could barely breathe and all I wanted to do was kill him.
"Fine, let's play it your way." I created a ball of electricity and wrapped my hand around his tail. It shocked him, he let go. No. He jumped away and held his singed tail. Angel stood right next to Shaw.
"Ahh, power of electricity . I knew you would be powerful." He grinned, I glared at Angel. "You could stop a city just by standing in the road." I hated the way he made my powers sound. Like they were an instrument of evil.
"That's not all she does. She has X-Ray vision." I glared at her.
"You make strippers look bad." She glared at me. "And mutants even worse."
"Alex." I heard Darwin shout. He pushed me out the way and tried to protect Angel. Alex did his rings and shot at Shaw.
"NO!" I shouted. I knew what was coming. I had heard of Shaw's powers. I tried to run and pull Darwin away. But Azazel grabbed me. Before I could shock him, Shaw grabbed Darwin after sucking in the energy rings. He produced a ball of energy which radiated the same red as Alex's power.

He put it down Darwin's throat, Darwin tried to adapt but he couldn't. Nothing could adapt. I turned away, Azazel still holding me tight, not letting me move. I heard a loud boom and I turned Darwin was no where to be seen. He was no longer a peron or a body but a memory.
I elbowed Azazel in the stomach and ran at Shaw. I shot a bolt of electricity at them.
"Shaw you are a coward!" Just before Azazel transported them I shouted:
"I'll kill you!" The bolt hit nothing, they were gone. Raven came over to me and we hugged, Hank, Sean and Alex joined. Raven and I cried. I admit I haven't cried since my parents died.
"I've arranged for you guys to be taken home." Charles was rattled, everyone was rattled.
"We're not going home." Sean sounded serious.
"What?" Charles asked.
"Alex isn't going back to prison and McKenzie isn't going back to running from Shaw." Erik looked at me like he knew my pain. How could he?
"He killed Darwin!" Alex yelled, I put my hand on his shoulders and squeezed slightly.
"All the more reason for you to leave." Charles tried to sound firm.
"Charles, he killed Darwin..." my voice broke a little on his name, Raven put her head on my shoulder and held my hand. "...and we can't even bury him."
"We can avenge him." Erik said, my ears perked up.
"Erik a word please..." Erik and Charles went to have a private talk. We stayed quietly. They came back.
"Fine but we will have to train." We cheered when Charles replied.
"Well we can't train here, even if the government could re - open. We won't be safe." Charles smirked and so did Raven.

They had a plan.
We drove to a country house. A huge, ginormous country house.
"Honestly Charles, I don't how you lived in such hardship?" Erik grinned. I laughed with everyone else.
"Well it was hardship, softened by me." Raven grinned. Raven took us for a tour. She had already picked out bedrooms. Mine had pale blue bedding and curtains with a white rocking chair in the corner and one of those benches that are right next to window. Decorated with white and blue cushions.
"It's beautiful." I gasped. Raven smiled.
"And I got you some clothes. They are in the closet. It's nice to have a friend that isn't a man." I grinned.
"It's nice to have a friend I don't have to hid who I am from." She hugged me. We went downstairs ready for what we knew was coming. Charles's this-is-serious-and-no-goofing-around speech.
After Charles's speech we.. well...goofed around. Checking out the house, Charles told us who he would train and who Erik would say.
"Okay Erik will be training McKenzie. I'll be taking on Alex and Sean."
"You say it like we are children." Alex said.
"Because you are." I grinned. Alex stuck his tongue at me.
"Very mature. I was completely wrong." You could practically see the sarcasm. Another tongue pull. I clapped.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]
