《Living With The Asshole》Chapter 14

I had a terrible headache. I couldn't even open my eyes.

Groaning, I slowly sat up and forced my eyes open.

The first thing I saw was the unfamiliar room . Where was I? I looked back at the bed to find a bare, shirtless back. My eyes widened as I saw whose back it was.

But why was I sleeping next to him? And why didn't he have a shirt on?

I checked to see what I was wearing and was horrified to find a guy's shirt on me.

Oh my God.

I started shaking him as roughly as I could, with that stupid headache.

But that buttface just wouldn't get up.

I gave him one last shove, as hard as I could. That did it. He woke up, groaning.

"What is it?" he grumbled, rubbing his eyes sleepily like a kid.

"Why am I here? What are you doing here? Why are you shirtless? Why am I wearing this-"

"Shut up! Dear God Ashley, I just fucking woke up," he grunted.

"Tell me what happened."

He raised an eyebrow at me in surprise and then a smirk formed on his face.

"We just... did some things."

Shit.

No way.

The color drained from my face.

We couldn't possibly have...

He stared at me for a few seconds before bursting in laughter.

That jerk.

He kept laughing so hard for the next five minutes, I was afraid he was having some sort of a fit.

"Aaron."

Laughter.

"Aaron!"

He finally stopped laughing. He wiped the tears of laughter from his eyes and finally looked at me again.

"Are you done?" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest.

He nodded seriously, then started laughing again.

"Okay, okay," he really shut up when he saw the look on my face.

"Now tell me."

"Well, for starters the "things" we did only involved you getting sick and us coming in here to clean up."

"Oh. Yeah," I said, remembering how embarassing I'd been, throwing up in front of him last night.

"Thank you Aaron."

"No biggie," he smiled, showing a dimple.

"You have a dimple!" I said, poking his cheek.

"Hey!" he protested but he was still smiling at me.

My head still hurt. I realised my stomach felt funny too.

Aaron grabbed his phone from the side table."It's eleven already. We should get going."

I nodded slowly.

He got up and walked towards the door.

"Wait."

He turned around."What?"

"Aren't you going to put a shirt on?"

I asked curiously. Not that I had a problem with the view..

He laughed."I was just going to the toilet, princess."

"Oh."

If I had a dollar for every time I acted like a fool in front of him...

"Why, you afraid other girls are gonna see this?" he pointed towards his abs, which were perfectly toned, might I add.

I snorted."Of course I am," he smirked,"I don't want them to die."

That wiped the smirk off his face alright.

I got out of bed. The headache was much worse now.

My head started spinning and I fell back on the bed.

"Ashley!"Aaron exclaimed and I heard him run towards me.

I opened my eyes."I'm okay," I whispered.

He touched my forehead.

"You're hot."

"Gee, thanks," I mumbled.

"No, really, your forehead is really hot."

Great.

"Sweety, do you want anything?" Joanna asked.

I was back home sick. Wasn't that just fabulous? The doctor had come home and he'd said that there was something in the drink that had upset my body.

Well,no shit, Sherlock. I figured out that much myself.

Other than that he'd told me to rest and given me a few medicines which made the headache go away but not the feeling of sickness, altogether.

"No, I-"

"Get her some soup, Jo," Aaron spoke up.

"Shut up Aaron. I don't want a-"

"No one asked for your opinion," he shot back.

I sighed and gave him a defeated look. Joanna left the room.

"Can you please go away?" I groaned.

Ever since I'd woken up, he just wouldn't leave me alone.

He insisted on "taking care of the sick baby" which was obviously me and what he meant by taking care was annoying me to death.

If I didn't die of the sickness, Aaron would make sure I died of annoyance.

Wasn't he just sweet?

He didn't answer me.

Ignoring me now? Good. That is what I wanted. If only he'd go into his room.

"Amanda please tell him to get out of here," I pleaded, turning towards where she had been sitting.

But she was no longer there. She'd left the room.

I sighed and closed my eyes.

"Hey, don't die get up!"

I opened my eyes and shot him a look.

"I'm not dead, Aaron."

"Yay!"

"God, you're annoying."

"You're killing my vibe here, Ashy."

" Don't call me t-" I began but stopped when a wave of nausea hit me.

I thought I was going to the throw up but the feeling disappeared.

"Are you okay?"

I mumbled a yes.

"You're really pale. I think you need to go to the hospital," he said after a while.

I shook my head."I'll be okay. I don't need to go to the hospital."

" But the doc said if your condition worsens then-"

"Screw what the doctor says, Aaron. I want to sleep," I told him, put my head over the pillow, and closed my eyes.

"Ashley, you'd better have a good reason for not calling me for a whole week," my mom said sternly.

" Mom,I'm sorry okay? You remember that concert I told you about? I was organising that. This week was really stressful, that's all," I sighed. "Besides,I texted you everyday, mom."

I wasn't lying.I really did text her everyday.

But convincing my mother was not an easy thing to do.

"That's not the same as talking. Now, promise to call me everyday from now on," she demanded.

I rolled my eyes."Okay mom," my voice came out weak.

"Are you okay, honey?" she asked, her tone suddenly changing into a worried one.

"Yeah, just a little tired," I lied.I didn't want to add to her worries.

"Take care of yourself."

"Yes,mum.How's Grandma?" I asked her.

"Well ,she's way better than she was when I first came here. I'll just be back in a few more weeks, I think."

"That's great, mom!Give her a hug for me."

"I'll do that. Now you take care of yourself, okay? Love you. Bye," she said.

"Love you too,"I replied and hung up.

I missed her.A lot.

And dad,too.

He wasn't coming back very soon either.

So I was on my own for quite some more time now.

Aaron had finally left me alone with a promise to come back with a pizza for himself.

He was being really, really sweet. I mean he was annoying, of course but he was taking care of me and helping me and being so nice. I couldn't help but smile as I thought of him.

"Hey there," Amanda said. She was standing near the door.

"Hi Amanda."

"How are you feeling? "

"I'm better now, thanks. Come, sit down."

"I would but I have to, uh, go somewhere," she blushed.

So she was going to see her boyfriend.

I smirked knowingly but didn't push it ."Have fun."

Just as she left, her brother came in

with two boxes of pizza in his hand as promised.

"Miss me?" he grinned.
