"Hey," I turned around to see Josh grinning at me.
"Hi,"I said.
"Hey,"he said again
I laughed."What's up?"
"I just wanted to ask how you were doing."
"I'm good."
"Did you come up with something ?"
"I was thinking of maybe a concert?"
"A concert?"
"Yeah.Like,we'll use the auditorium and stuff. What do you think?"
"That's an amazing idea!"
My gaze landed on the guitar bag slung over his shoulder.
"Would you like to perform?"
He stared at me. "Are you serious?"
"Yes,Josh.Dead serious."
"That would amazing! I've always wanted to do something like this. I'm in," he grinned.
"Awesome! Thanks Josh."
He smiled." I'm just gonna go talk to the band, okay?"
We said goodbye and Josh walked off.
Thank God things were finally starting to fall into place.
Besides,I'd heard Josh's band play a couple of times and they were pretty good. With enough practice,I was sure they would be great.
Still smiling,I grabbed my phone.
"Trent, you'll never guess what just happened."
***
"Hey Amanda?" I called her as I stepped into her room.
"Yeah?" she glanced at me from her bed.She was going through her phone.
I sat down on her bed."Guess what?"
"What?"
"I know what I'm going to do!"
"The event,you mean?"
I nodded my head.
She quickly sat up."What are you going to do?"
"A concert."
"That's a great idea,Ashley!"she smiled, putting her phone aside to give me a quick hug.
"Who's performing?"
"There's this guy I know,Josh and his band.Actually,do you mind if I call them over?I need to talk to them about the concert anyway and maybe you could hear them play too."
"Of course.Nothing like a group of cute guys who can sing."

I laughed."Okay."
"Wait,I can come to the concert right?" she asked, looking at me.
''Of course,Amanda. You'll get the first ticket.I'll make sure of that," I grinned.
***
''We're going to do five songs? Are you serious? As in back to back?As in on stage?" Alexa, one of the band members asked.
We were all currently sat in my room,Trent,Cole,Josh,Kaden -the drummer ,Alexa -another singer(she was a girl, yes) and Jordan-who was ,like Josh a guitarist.Josh and Alexa were the lead singers.
"Alexa,this is a concert,remember?" Josh said calmly.
"Well,we're going to need a shit ton of practice, then,"she said.
"Yeah,"all the band members said in agreement.
"We have two weeks," I told them.
"Two weeks?"
It was Kaden this time.
"It's enough," Josh said reassuringly.
He didn't look stressed about all this at all.Which was, kind of weird,I guess, considering that he was the lead singer and guitarist and it was his first time, doing something like the others.
All the same I was glad someone was calm and ready to take responsibility.
"We''ll do it," Jordan said.
"We will?" Alexa and Kaden looked at him.
"Yeah.It'll be worth it,you'll see,"Josh said.
They left after a while.Trent and Cole stayed, though.
Let's go watch a movie or something?" I asked.
"Well, we don't exactly have anything else to do," Cole shrugged.
"Trent?"
"I'm in."
"Give me a minute," I told them and rolled over my bed to grab my brush.I quickly ran it through my hair.
I was done in less than a minute and ready to leave.
"What movie are we going to watch again?" I questioned as we walked towards the stairs.
Both of them shrugged unenthusiastically.I rolled my eyes.

"What's up with you two?'' I asked, kind of irritated at their behavior.
''We lost. Our school lost the match," Trent said sulkily.
''Oh,right.Against that um...What was it..Willow High School?"
"Since when are you interested in soccer?"Cole looked at me suspiciously.
"I'm not.Aaron told me this-
"Do you ever stop talking about me?" a cocky voice that I knew too well said.
I rolled my eyes.''Never," I said sarcastically as he came into view.
He looked really tired but not enough to reduce his pig headedness apparently. He was wearing a t-shirt with some shorts and he looked like he'd just showered.
"Oh,hi," he said, just noticing Trent and Cole.
"Hey man," Cole said.
I assumed they knew each other since Cole was already friends with Amanda.
Aaron gave him that guy nod.
"Trent.Congratulations on your win," he said to Aaron.
''So you heard?"
"We were at the game," Cole replied.
Aaron nodded.
"You were great, dude.Congrats," Cole said with a smirk.
That was surprising. Was he not sulking at the defeat just a minute ago?
I guess Aaron was pretty good if Cole was appreciating him in this situation.
Aaron nodded and smiled."Thanks, man."
"Aaron how was the ga-",Amanda appeared just then and seeing Trent and Cole ,she stopped.
"Oh,hi guys," she said, smiling at Trent and Cole.
"Hi,erm..Amanda,''Trent said.
Thank God he remembered her name.
"Hey Amanda," Cole smiled.
She smiled back.
"Well,we should um-",I began but was cut off by the one and only .
"We won,Amanda!"Aaron grinned happily.
"Really? That's great, congratulations!" she threw her arms around her brother.
"Let's go out for dinner to celebrate?" Aaron offered.
"Yes! Ashley here also figured out what to do about the event thing. So we have two reasons to celebrate."
"You did?" Aaron looked at me.
I nodded. "A concert."
"Sounds cool,congrats."
He didn't say it too enthusiastically but the smile on his face showed that he was happy for me.
I smiled back with a small nod.
"So why don't we all go together tonight?",Amanda suggested, looking at us.
Trent,Cole and I looked at each other.
"Sounds good," Cole said for the three of us.
"Great then.Well,I have to go see a...go somewhere.See you guys," Amanda said, looking unsure.
Okay, that was kind of fishy.
I looked at Amanda in confusion but she shot me a look. "Tell you later," she mouthed.
I nodded quickly.
"I'll see you guys at dinner.Aaron text me the details, yeah?" Amanda said,as she walked towards the door.
"Will do," he replied,walking upstairs.
"We're going to be late for the goddamn movie.Let's leave!" Cole said finally.
I thought of congratulating Aaron.Well,I would see him at dinner ,wouldn't I?I could congratulate him then.
We were outside now and just about to get in the car when I stopped, deciding to talk to Aaron."I'll be right back, guys," I quickly said before dashing back into the house and into Aaron's room.
"Aaron?" I gasped for breath as I reached his room.
That's what you get for being such a lazy person who never bothers to work out.
I couldn't see him anywhere, and he didn't answer either so I stepped inside looking for him. "Aaron?"
Still no answer. He was probably in the toilet, I thought and turned to leave.I bumped into someone.
Assuming it was Aaron, I said"Aaro-"
But when I looked up,it wasn't Aaron.
My eyes widened in surprise.Who was he?
Just then the door opened and Aaron stepped out from the bathroom, a towel draped around his waist.
"Who is tha-" he stopped when he saw the man standing beside me.
"Dad.''
