《clueless | goodguyfitz |》chapter 2

gazing into her honey eyes, my cheeks became pinker as i felt the heat begin to rise. the galaxy was in her eyes and flowers bloomed in her rich auburn blond (dark red) hair. she was the kind of person that people write songs about. the way her hair flowed so peacefully and ran down like waterfalls, the way her eyes reminded me of syrup and how they bore into mine with such meaning, the way her body curved in so many ways, and how the sun danced along her olive skin accentuated her shape.
"fitz?" matt questioned, snapping me away from my daze. "what are you daydreaming about this time?" my head shook, telling him i didn't want to speak about it, but he took it more as a 'nothing' type of shake. "like i was saying, i can't believe it? she got so beautiful."
"man, it's been a good couple years for her. and i thought she was unique back then." matt chuckled lowly, dismissing my last comment while he messed with his chestnut hair. "i'm serious. but she's stunning.." matt once again shook his head and continued to stare at her.
"back then? oh man... She wasn't the most beautiful woman, but she had a great personality." are you kidding me? back then, audrey was still the most stunning person i had seen. maybe that was because i never got out, but she still caused the life to pop in my eyes. "i think i'm gonna win her back." switching my attention back to matt, my eyes widened but soon soften. "ya, the way she looked at me earlier and her reaction when i said her name."
"jesus mate." i let out a soft breath that came out more like a small laugh. "you think taking advantage-"

"no, no, no. not taking advantage, winning her back. then take her in again. kind of persuade her into it." matt explained, not making it any better.
"mate, that's fucked." matt took everything has a joke, but this topic was nothing to be making fatuous comments about. "that's not cool man."
"what, you looking to create an actual relationship?" matt punched my arm lightly, drinking from his red solo cup. "i'm kidding you."
"nah, but appreciate the goddess you have while she stands and waits for you-"
"dad!" swagger shouts, causing my attention to be ripped away. "mason is having a panic attack!" rushing over, my hands pull mason over until he sits down onto one of the many beanbags. "here," swagger hands me a cup of water and i start to force mason into chugging it.
"mason, listen, we're gonna get out of here, mate."
"oi, cunt! get the hell off of me." mason squealed, pushing me away and flipping off swagger. "i'm fine. i'm fine..." me and swagger looked to each other and both stood in denial.
"is macey okay?" hearing her silky soft voice, i turn around, coming face to face with audrey.
"is he ever okay?" i respond, pushing my hat back slowly. she didn't respond, no little laugh, no facial expression, just a blank face. her tender hand lays upon zuckles' rubbing it and telling him she was there for him. my eyes have never seen a greater sight honestly.
"hey, uh fitz?" she inquired, standing to her feet after mason finally decided he could sit still. she walked forward, telling me to follow behind her. "what are we going to do about the body? everyone is getting anxious about it just laying there." turning, i saw toby's body just lying there, blood pooling around him. "and why haven't we-"

"tried calling the police? none of us have our phones, we locked them away so no one would steal them." her face shrunk, sorrow fulfilling her. her honey eyes beginning to pool. "did you-"
"no. i'm just as smart as you guys and left it at home. why? i have no clue. probably just so karma could have reasoning to attack me." she laughed lightly, tucking her straight hair behind her left ear. "anyway, i'm serious about moving the body. it can't be good that it's sitting in the same room as us. plus, it's going to begin to rot soon."
being stuck in this one section of the house was causing the paranoia to spread across us, the boys being the most to display their emotions. "swagger, come here." i called out, crossing my arms as i stood in the corner of the room. perambulating over, swagger's aura began to rub off on me. his eyes were red, almost like he smoked 10 joints. "we needa move toby out of this room."
"how? we can't even open one door? we are trapped in this fucking room, there is no escape! damnit fitz we are going insane!" gripping the man's shoulders, i stared straight into his eyes, reminding him it was only us at this very moment.
"listen, swagger, moving his body into the closet or something might be the best option we have. constantly seeing it will cause everyone to stay at the current mental position they are at already. hell, most of us are drunk or high anyway?!" now i was the one freaking out when i was supposed to be calm for the rest.
"the police might get suspicious if we move the body-"
"screw the police." i spat, standing straight and fixing the way my hat laid upon my fluffed hair. "we either move that body, or we all suffer together. which i'm more leaning toward the option on which we move it."
"damn fitz. you really are a stubborn son of a bitch." he seethed, throwing off his resting helmet. "i'll grab his legs, you grab his arms." on the count of three, we both lift him up, finding it to be much more difficult than we thought to believe. everyone looked away, ashamed of their selfish request of moving the dead body.
peeking out of the corner of my eye, i saw matt approaching the only lady in the room, somehow still sipping out of his red solo cup. "how are you holding up audrey?" her head shook in response and shrugged her shoulders.
"matt, i didn't even know him and i'm tearing up. how can you be so happy?" audrey questioned, throwing her tissue in the garbage that stood next to her. "it's awful. your friend has just been murdered, but i don't see a single tear being shed other than my own."
"the others are either baked out of their mind or drunk. trust me, it will hit them all when they awaken from their sleep. once they wipe away the drool that slipped out of their mouth, they will realize they were lucky to have it only be drool." matt became serious and audrey fell into his arms, her past feelings making it easier for her to do so.
a thumbs up met my eyes from matt, his wink caused nausea to surge through me, but i nodded back, turning away as i put a fist under my chin.

“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.

8 218Hail the King
When the common folk hear of the Hell King, they think of many different things"It is the king of monsters!" "A calamity unfolded that knows nothing but destruction" "The true pinnacle of hatred and wrath." "A savage demon that eats children" "It's no doubt the king of despair as well as every child's bed monster." However, when you ask those scholars of ages long past, they will answer "It is one of the many riddles of life, one that no man has yet solved." "It is a great question, one so great that you shouldn't ask." "I honestly don't know." "Truly child? Since youth have I dreamed of meeting it, and you expect me to fullfill such a task in my lifetime?" "Nobody truly has any evidence it is evil, yet at the mere mention of the name I tremble in fear." One thing is for sure. Nobody truly knows who said Hell King really is. Not the greatest of cultivators, the grandest of swordsmen nor the wisest of sages. Nobody even knows where the stories of the Hell King come from, and yet everybody knows them. This is a story about a broken man, a man cursed by the heavens, an enigma to the whole world, a ruler of a dead kingdom and a monster born out of despair. "I wish not for women, I wish not for gold nor do I wish for happiness. All I wish for is to be granted eternal rest."
