《Aphrodisiac ✔️(mikaelson soulmate)》Chapter XXVII: Girls Day

It didn't take long for the sickness to disappear. I was able to sleep peacefully, especially since Nik and Finn had snuggled up on either side of me. I was better after a long rest. Being woken up to Finn's tray of chicken noodle soup on my lap was a blessing. Not being afraid to throw it up afterwards, I was able to enjoy it fully. The diced chunks of carrots, shredded chicken, egg noodles- and my favorite part.. Potato chunks.
"You're still in bed?" Bekah asked as she came into the room. I was still eating the soup that Fin had given me. Finn was sitting next to me, playing with my leg by tracing figures on it. Nik was laying his head on my other leg, as his wolf. He knew I loved petting his fur. Bekah walked over to the bed and started shooing them both out. "Get out- Girl time." Nik growled at his sister but got up. I leaned over and kissed his furry forehead before he left the room, huffing and puffing on his way out. Finn sighed, getting up as well and pressing a short kiss to my forehead.
"Don't break her." Finn told Bekah on his way out of the room. Bekah laughed, shaking her head before she sat on the bed next to me.
"Bet you're enjoying that." She told me with a smile. I shrugged at her.
"It's nice I suppose. " Bekah hummed. "As long as you don't think about the dead witches trying to off me." Bekah sighed, nodding.
"Yes well, witches are a bit of a downfall." She agreed. "But I was thinking we could hang out. I have us some hair appointments, maybe some shopping, lunch. Oh and that perky baby vampire caught me on my way here- she invited herself."
"Caroline?" I questioned. Bekah nodded with an eye roll.
"She seems annoying." I laughed, shaking my head.
-
I was dressed and out of the house relatively fast. Bekah pushing me to get a move on it- something about how she wasn't getting any younger. Which was funny since she is literally the same age as she was a thousand years ago. Caroline was meeting us at the salon which I was excited about. My hair had been annoying lately and I just wanted it braided and out of the way.

Once we got to the salon, Rebekah compelled the worked to fit us in. Caroline already getting her nails done since she didn't need her hair really messed with for anything.
"What can I do for you?" The stylist asked me as she unwrapped my silk scarf.
"Just some braids. Maybe extensions?" I shrugged. Caroline cheered from where she sat at extensions.
"Yesss! Make them long!" She pushed. I laughed as did Rebekah as the stylist nodded and got to work on my hair. Thankfully, this wasn't an all white salon. No offense, but White people don't do my hair justice. Last time a girl did my hair at a one of these salons, my hair was so frizzy and I think my face disappeared in it.
"So did you find what you were looking for?" I asked as I looked over to Rebekah. She was getting some highlights throughout her blonde hair. Just lighter shades to build dimension.
"Possibly." She said with a small smile. Caroline and I shared a look before grinning at Bekah.
"What's his name?" I asked as Caroline said, "Where did you meet??" Bekah looked between the two of us before biting her lip slightly.
"His name is Kieran (Kai-rin) Healy." She muttered. The smile never faltering from her face. "We meet in Ireland. Someone tried to flirt with me at some pub and he jumped in before I ripped the man's throat out." I stared at Bekah before laughing out loud. "Why are you laughing?" She asked, clearly not amused.
"Does he know you are a vampire? An original?" Bekah smirked.
"Of course. Now he does. He is apart of Elijah's sire line." I breathed out a sigh.
"That's good. And I laughed because he stopped you from committing murder in a pub." Caroline snorted.
"It is kind of funny he stepped in to help a very much capable woman." Caroline chimed in. Bekah laughed, nodded.
"I suppose it really is."
"Is he in town with you?" I asked, curious if she really brought him to meet her brothers.
"God, he is. He wants to meet my brothers." She huffed in annoyance.

"Oh, god. Kol and Nik will be picking at him." I told her. She nodded. "I can keep Nik in line. But Kol- he's not controllable." I said with a small blush running across my cheeks. Caroline giggled as Bekah grimaced.
"I do not need to hear about my brothers kinks."
-
A few hours at the salon and my hair was tightly braided down my back. It looked great.
And it was going to be so much quicker to get ready in the mornings for a bit. We were now shopping at some dress shop. Bekah had told Caroline that Nik was taking me dancing so they dragged me to get a new dress for the occasion.
"Maybe something flowy?" Caroline asked as she was looking at something she would look good in. Bekah shook her head.
"Knowing my brother, he will take her to some kind of fancy dance club. Maybe something like this?" She pulled out a silky looking burnt orange dress. It was pretty. Simple. I liked it. I walked over to her and grabbed it. "Go try it on. I'm trying on a few of these. Kieran was talking about going to a fancy dinner just out of town."
"Well if you both are trying on dresses, I am too. I can probably get Stefan to take me some place for it." Caroline huffed. I laughed as she pushed a red flowy dress in my hands as well before running off to try on her own dresses.
The dress that Bekah chose was perfect to dance in. I loved it. Not to mention how it showed off my legs and back.
"Let us see!" Caroline said through the door. I laughed, walking out of the dressing room and twirling for them. "Oh, my god. That is so pretty on you." Caroline said. Bekah smirked as she fixed her hair in the mirror, looking at the blue dress she was wearing.
"I have good taste- you're welcome." She said as she spun around to face me. I laughed.
"You both look gorgeous as well. Care- that dress really brings out your eyes." I told her with a smile. She was wearing a yellow dress that just made her look like a ball of sunshine.
"And Beks- dear god. You look hot." Caroline nodded in agreement with me as Bekah smiled and pushed the dress to flow out a bit.
"What's the word? I'm slaying it." Beks laughed. We all laughed together. But Bekah stopped when she caught sight of my necklace. She walked over to me and grabbed it carefully. "Is this what the witches used to protect you?" She asked as she looked at the iron pendant. Her eyes a bit glassy.
"Uh- yeah." I told her, a bit unsure what the deal was. She seemed hurt. "What is it? Why does everyone have some reaction to it?"
"It was my baby brothers- Henrik's." Bekah explained. My eyes widened. I didn't even know that they had another brother. "He was slaughtered by wolves before we even became- this."
"I'm so sorry-" I tried but Bekah shook her head at me.
"No. It's okay. This necklace- it means a lot to all of us. It's only right that you got it to protect you. You are the new center."
"The new center?" I questioned. Caroline was standing next to me, curious as well as her eyes looked over the pendant.
"Yeah.. Finn made this as a way to make Henrik feel better. The four brothers surrounding him. Well now you. It was the original Always and Forever between them. Before I was included and when Finn and Kol were in on it." I remembered hearing them sometimes using that phrase. I thought it was sweet that they had a family thing.
"So Finn started it?" I asked. Bekah nodded. A sad smile on her face.
"He did." My heart fluttered as I smiled.

The Many Blades of Wuxia
Hundreds of years after the Heretic wars ended, life has returned to its blissful ignorant state that only peace could bring. Whilst the never-ending war between Man, Beast and Mutant rages on, most are not even aware of a war that happened between men. Its prophecies shattered, their remnants surviving only in obscure bard tales. One is about to grow. On the cracked face of the world, Essence storms and Beast Waves keep the citizenry locked atop the Emperor city of Qaelang. Knowledge of the past is as rare as the metals that flow into the hands of Sacred Artists and at the root of it all are whispers of a malignant force, ancient and terrible. Holding humanity back from achieving greatness, but hiding too are secrets best left untouched. Balance, discipline and order have held Qaelang secure since time immemorial, the powers within claiming to adhere to them. None are more fearful of change than the ones with the most to lose, but change is coming. Blade of Wuxia is a long character-focused epic fantasy with progression and growth. It's about a boy's quest to become powerful enough to save those he cares most for and give them a better life. It's set in a world of hidden pasts and uncovering them will set him on a path that shakes the Empire. As this is a rewrite that took on a wildly different spin, reviews are most welcome and help me do better. What can the reader expect? A Wuxia society set in a High fantasy world. People are only doing what they know and may have mistaken beliefs. A clever resourceful protagonist with human flaws A far-reaching hidden fantasy world, rich in history. Multiple points of view are used to follow the story to its natural conclusions, not every NPC has all the answers, but there is one MC in this book. Progression will take time and sometimes even unknowingly. MC is not trained in the ways and knowledge must be tempered against experimentation. Release Schedule. 2 chapters a week, family and work permitting. Only if I'm happy with the chapter will I release it. That being said I am open to revision should an articulated critical response show merit. This story is not completed yet but I do have a general idea of what the end looks like for both MC's (yes both) Ultimately feedback will be most influential on the progression of release as it's you guys I'm looking to entertain. Expected Changes None really, I'm writing as I go and have a path planned for 6 books Chapter release rate might change if we take off and feedback starts flowing, but for now, it is just about making sure Arcs flow smoothly onto the next. Cover, yes absolutely! If there is enough interest I will open a Patreon account and use the first proceeds to commission an EPIC cover and hopefully a few scary artworks of our brave Cultivators and the foes they face.
