One day at a karaoke bar...
"No more singing Sora!" Subaru and Kaiji exclaimed. "But it's fun..." Sora said. "You look ridiculous."Kaiji said. "And you sound ridiculous." Subaru said. "Wha?! I think I look just fine in this get-up, what do you say, chief?" Sora asked. "I have to agree with Subaru and Kaiji." Katsuragi said. "Even you?! Jeez..." Sora said. "How about you sing something, Mizuki?" Kendall asked. "Me?" Mizuki asked. "Please? I would love to hear you sing something." Kendall said. "It will cause a crowd if people heard him." Katsuragi said. "Aw... I was hoping to at least hear him once..." Kendall said. "You know, the door has a lock so no one can get in..." Mizuki said.
She had a light bulb go over her head. "Pfffff! Duh! Should've thought of that!" Kendall said running towards the door and locked it. "It shouldn't be a problem anymore."
"I already know what to sing. You always play this song aloud." Mizuki said. "I blast out a lot of music, so I'm not sure what song you're even talking about." Kendall said. "I heard you one time saying it'll make you happy if you heard me singing it." Mizuki said. "What song?!" Kendall exclaimed. "Hehe. I guess I'll have to start it so you'll know." Mizuki said. "Isn't that sweet? He's going to sing for her." Sora said. "I can't take you seriously when you're wearing that." Kaiji said. "Change out of it." Subaru said.
Mizuki put in the number of the song. "This is for you, Kendall."
The beginning of the song started to play. She gasped for the longest time. "Oh my god!"

Loving can hurt...
Loving can hurt sometimes...
But it's the only thing that I know...
When it gets hard~
You know it can get hard sometimes...
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive~
His voice is so UNFFF!
Quit shaking me!
We keep this love in a photograph...
We made these memories for ourselves...
Where our eyes are never closing,
Hearts are never broken,
Times forever frozen still...
So you can keep me,
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans,
Holdin' me closer until our eyes meet,
You won't ever be alone~
Wait for me to come home...
*hyperventilates*
Are you alright, Ms. Ferreira?
I'm better than alright.
There she goes...
Loving can heal...
Loving can mend your soul...
And it's the only thing that I know...
I swear it will get easier~
Remember that with every piece of you...
Hm~ And it's the only thing we take with us when we die~
Dear Lord have mercy! This boy is going to give me a heart attack!
You're enjoying way more than when I was singing...
We keep this love in this photograph...
We made these memories for ourselves...
Where our eyes are never closing,
Our hearts were never broken,
Times forever frozen still...
So you can keep me,
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans,
Holdin' me closer until our eyes meet,
You won't ever be alone~
And if you hurt me...
That's OK, baby, only words bleed,
Inside these pages you just hold me~
And I won't ever let you go...
Wait for me to come home...
Oh no here comes the water works...
You're seriously crying?!
Don't judge me...
Oh you can fit me,
Inside the necklace you got when you were 16,
Next to your heartbeat where I should be,
Keep it deep within your soul~

And if you hurt me,
Well, that's OK, baby, only words bleed,
Inside these pages you just hold me~
And I won't ever let you go~
*faints*
*sighs*
When I'm away...
I will remember how you kissed me...
Under the lamppost back on 6th street,
Hearing you whisper through the phone...
"Wait for me to come home."
Kendall quickly recovered and clapped fast. "Beautiful..."
"You got your wish, are you happy now?" Kaiji asked teasingly.
"Yeah..." Kendall said in awe. "She's starstrucked at the moment, isn't she?" Mizuki asked. "Because of you!" Sore exclaimed. "You're saying its my fault?" Mizuki asked. "YES!" They all exclaimed.

Eater of Spirits
Story is abandoned. There will be no more updates on it. Jarod is kind of a loser, as it goes with these stories. A tear in his reality pulls him into another world, where he gains the ability to devour spirits, the locus of magic within the world. This is far from my first foray into fiction, but it is my first time posting anything to royal road, and first time writing LitRPG. This is an exercise in putting things out there, and just writing. That means that all of this is going to be a first draft, where edits may come sparsely if there is a glaring issue or something I think should be better. Thanks for reading!
