"Thanks for taking me out today." April smiles at me as we walk through the sunny park.

I smile back at her. "You needed it. Besides, I thought it would be fun to see how many rumours we could get going that you're my girlfriend."

She laughs, then puts her hand in the crook of my arm. "Maybe this will help."

This makes me laugh too. "I feel like people forget that you're a person, and not just a full time Taehyung-carer."

"Well, that is my job. I'm happy to do it." She blushes and looks down at the ground. She does this whenever I bring up Taehyung around her.

"And, well, people have feelings..." I say slowly, building up to the question I've been wanting to ask for ages.

She looks up at me with a confused expression. "Where are you going with this?"

I look at her seriously. "Are you in love with Taehyung?"

She stops walking abruptly and drops her hand from my arm. She opens and closes her mouth a few times like she's going to say something, but doesn't.

"Wow, I expected you'd try a bit harder to deny it." I smirk.

"I... but... n-no, of course I'm not," she stammers.

"That was a lousy attempt," I tease.

She begins to fidget with her fingers. "How did you know?"

"Your face changes whenever you look at him. You blush and look down whenever I say his name. You're very obvious," I say.

"Do you think he's noticed? Has anyone else?" She asks, panic-stricken.

I shake my head. "No, he hasn't. He's not very good at picking up on things. And I don't think anyone else has paid enough attention to realise."

She sighs. "I wish I wasn't. It's so... inappropriate."

"You can't help it."

"I know but... he's my patient. He's my patient who's famous. He's my gay patient who's famous. He's my pregnant gay patient who's famous." Her voice cracks and I worry she'll start crying, but she doesn't.

I put a hand on her shoulder. "He's your pregnant gay patient who's famous and relies on you and loves you a lot. Just not in the same way."

"Which is why I can't tell him," she says quietly.

"Which is why you can't tell him," I repeat.

She nods. "Can we talk about something else now."

I smile and put my arm around her. "Sure. Just needed to get that out of the way."
