Pan watched the forest in silence. He longed to see those electric eyes staring back at him. More then that was the stunned feeling he held after she kissed him. He had been so sure she Would slap him or worse say she didn't feel the same. Her lips tasted of berry tea, and sent energy like pure caffeine into his veins. When she had pulled him in for another kiss, hope like a spring flowed inside him.
Maybe she loved me! His mind screamed with joy.
But his heart had never dropped as far as it had after she had pulled away and told him she couldn't. It was like nails on a chalk board, those words. Why? Why couldn't she? Was it Hook? Was it him? Was it the fact that she didn't know him?
Questions and inquires circled in his mind as vultures circle their prey, in this case the prey was himself. One question was surrounded by why she was dressed to match Hook. Pan could have sworn she wore the exact coat that Hook owned. Of course he knew that It couldn't be, because of the drastic size difference between the two of them.
He couldn't remember how long he stayed like that, standing stiffly, watching the jungle for any movement. But there was nothing. His heart was restless and longed for moments past, when he held her.
He had held her. This brought joy to him. The emotions that had arisen in him the past two days felt absolutely alien. It pricked up memories from his past that he wished would disappear. But this love for her burned brighter then any he had had in his past.
Even when she turned away from him, he held hope that she would turn around, and see him for the person he was, her match.

Hook had spent the whole day trekking across the island to find his ship again. He figured he had been deposited with Zemira into the middle of the island. He had been generally right, but he had been walking towards the opposite shore the his boat was off the coast from. Because of his mistake he walked the perimeter of the island to find his boat.
When he finally came back his men questioned him and inquired about Zemira. He waved them off and instead of answering he locked himself in his cabin. He pried off his boots and took off his socks. He sat in his chair and half wished that he had his trench coat, but Zemira still had it. He sighed and went into the bathroom were he rinsed off with a few pitchers of water. With a little soap and a towel, he was clean. He came back into the main part of the cabin and laid down onto his bed in only his trousers.
When his head hit the sheets he was hit with the sweet smell of wild berries. Zemira. He breathed in her sent. It was interesting that something so directly hers could have been left behind for him. He smiled and wished that the sent was accompanied by her. But she wasn't there. She had left him with no directions but gave him protection from Pan. His mind wondered who the girl could be.
What was her history?
What was the reason for her coming here?
Who was the girl behind the sparkling blue eyes?
With these questions on his mind he drifted into a deep sleep.
~~~~~
"Hook?" Zemira asked. He looked up into her eyes that seemed to pop against any color.
"Yes love?" He replied. He felt the usual drowsiness and faded edges of his vision of a dream.
"What is keeping us apart?" She asked with a strange tone. Hook frowned.
"You haven't told me yet," Hook replied, his tongue slower then usual. She chuckled and reached her hand down and cupped his face gently. Hook sighed in happiness at her touch.
"That's not all is there?" She said smiling down at him. That image was imprinted on his mind the rest of the night.
