《A Bromance to Remember》Worry

George sighed as he walked back into Sapnap's hospital room.
Sapnap immediately sat up in his bed and gave George a cross look.
"Where on earth have you been? You left to get breakfast 30 MINUTES ago! I've texted you 15 times and I thought you had gotten lost or... "
His voice trailed off
George immediately felt the weight of guilt weigh back down on him. "Sap, I'm... I'm sorry. I got caught up in a conversation and forgot to check in with you."
Sapnap felt like forgiving George, but he wasn't going to let him off the hook that easy.
"Next thing I know you're going to be telling me you were flirting with some girl that whole time!"
George stared at the floor.
"George?"
George let out a small sigh and, still looking at the floor, said, "Her name is Monica."
Sapnap began to giggle uncontrollably. "You're (laughing)... you're serious?"
George managed to glance up at Sap before muttering, "yeah."
Sapnap patted the bed next to him, motioning for George to have a seat. "How about this. I'll eat my breakfast that you took way too long to get while you tell me all about 'Monica'," he said with a giggle.
George couldn't help but smile. He was so glad to see Sapnap returning to his happy, fun loving self.
George day on the bed next to Sapnap and began to tell him all about the girl he had met in the cafeteria from what she was wearing, to what her voice sounded like.
"I'm not sure that I like like her, but I like her as a friend right now. You know?"
Sapnap nodded. He was glad that George had someone to distract him from whatever emotions and thoughts were running through his head about the accident, Dream, and himself.

After a few more minutes of chit chat, Sapnap finished his breakfast.
"Considering it looked like school lunch food," he began. "It was pretty good."
George chuckled a bit. A few moments later, a man in a lab coat stepped through the door.
"Hello," he said in a cheerful voice. "My name is Doctor Brown. Are you 2 George and Sapnap?"
The boys nodded, slightly confused.
"Well," the doctor sighed. "You may want to come with me. Your friend, Dream, is still unconscious but can have visitors."
Being that Sapnap was still pretty beat up, a nurse came in and helped him into a wheelchair.
As soon a Sapnap was settled, they took off down the hallway.
Doctor Brown led the boys to an elevator at the end of the floor that Sapnap was staying on. The nurse pushed Sapnap into the elevator, nodded to the doctor, and walked away. As George stepped into the elevator, he watched the doctor click the button on the wall for the basement.
That's strange George thought to himself, but he decided not to mention anything to anyone else in the elevator. George was broken out of his thoughts by the ding of the elevator doors opening. The doctor motioned for George to step out, rolling Sapnap closely behind.
The hallway they had entered had lights, but was not nearly as bright as the floors above. George was silently thankful for the break, as his eyes were beginning to strain upstairs. Still, though, George felt like something wasn't right.
Doctor Brown led them further and further from the elevator, going down one corridor after another. Most of the basement seemed to be storage, but there was the occasional electrical box or generator.
After walking for what seemed like ages, Doctor Brown finally turned to face them.
He sighed then reached into his lab coat to grab something. Sapnap, still in front of the doctor, had no idea of what was happening. George's eyes widened as he saw what the doctor had. Seeing George's expression, Sapnap turned around.
All he saw was a gun barrel pointing towards his face.

The First's Apostle
Another one down. He wiped the sweat from his brow, once again cursing his luck. Out of anyone, this had to happen to him... Michael had just gotten his shit together, he even went back to getting an education. Just a normal sixteen year old boy. Now he was sent to the middle of fucking nowhere, to fight things that didn't exist. Hell, he wasn't even sure he was allowed to be here. The goddess wasn't exactly being secretive about that. Probably another way to have him depend on her. She had him in the palm of her hands and he wanted to jump off. He knew he'd be dead without her help though, just for now he had to play along. He had to follow orders.

As well as the Magical Beasts. the presence of a nameless slave, who speaks a language nobody can understand and exudes a certain aura invincibility that has just about everybody on edge. This is a tale following the exploits of the nameless slave, and those around him. Author's Note Thing: Don't know if this is where to put this, but this story is something I'm writing and posting on RRL for the first time. Chapters are what I consider to be short, and I hope to finish the book quickly. PS: Is it better to have no cover, or a generic cover? Let me know if you read this.
8 114The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
