Third Person's POV
Zayn really doesn't know what happened. He woke up next to Niall in bed, the usual, but this time he was met with what appeared to be the surprise of his life. When he wrapped his arm around Niall's waist and leaned over to peck his lips, Niall's body jerked awake and he looked at Zayn in bewilderment. Hurt crossed Zayn's features and he mirrored Niall's questioning stare.
"Zayn mate what are you doing?" Mate? He usually calls him love or baby, but mate; that was weird.
"What do you mean? Can't I kiss my boyfriend?" Zayn's heart was pounding in his ears, that dreaded feeling of the breaking of his heart overwhelming him.
"Zayn are you alright? I'm not your boyfriend Zayn what are you talking about?" Niall looked at Zayn with worried and shocked eyes. What was Zayn talking about? Niall wasn't his boyfriend and he was surely freaked out when he woke up with the other lad hovering over him.
"What do you mean I'm not your boyfriend? Are you breaking up with me?" Zayn's eyes were now widened in disbelief and hurt. What did he do, why was Niall breaking up with him, why was he saying that Zayn wasn't his boyfriend?
"Zayn I was never yours, you're seriously scaring me right now, what's going on with you? I'm your best friend Zayn, not boyfriend." Each and every word that came out of Niall's mouth was like a bullet to Zayn's heart.
"Niall no! Give it back!" Zayn whined as he chased Niall around the house, he wouldn't give him his shirt and he wanted to go out.
"But Zaynie I don't want you to leave, can you please stay with me?" He pouted his lip in the most adorable way ever, making Zayn's resolve crumble.

"You're going to be the death of me Niall Horan." Zayn grumbled as he grabbed Niall's waist and pushed him down on the couch, attaching their lips in a needy kiss.

"Ouch!" Zayn heard a pained scream coming from downstairs, precisely the kitchen. He raced down the stairs, and ran into the kitchen only to see Niall standing by the sink clutching his hand which was bleeding profusely.
"Niall what happened, what did you do?" Zayn questioned panicking because damn that was a lot of blood.
"I was doing the dishes and I accidentally cut my hand as I was trying to clean that stupid knife." Niall explained as a tear of either pain or frustration slid down his flushed cheek.
"It's not that deep, just a scab. Let's get you cleaned up." Although he was able to walk, Zayn still picked him up bridal-style, and carried him all the way upstairs. Zayn did clean Niall up, but then they both ended up dirtying themselves later that night.

"Niall stop eating all the batter, there won't be any left for the cupcakes." Zayn groaned, glaring at Niall as he dipped his finger once more in the mouth watering chocolate batter.
"But it's so good, and I'm so hungry." Niall wined as he stealthily dipped his finger into the bowl.
"If you wait for an hour, you'll fill your stomach with a chocolate delicacy instead of its batter." Zayn said, as he gazed at Niall sternly. His expression turned into shock once he felt the chocolate dripping down his face. Niall just threw it at him. He smirked mischievously as he grabbed the entire bowl and splashed it all over Niall.
"It's my turn to eat now." He growled as he started licking the sweet batter off of Niall's delicious skin.

Nothing sounds better than sex in the kitchen atop the counter.

"Zayn! Zayn! Mate what's wrong with you?" Niall was weirded out but still scared as he was beginning to question his best friend's sanity.
"But... But you were my boyfriend. I don't understand..." Zayn trailed off, speaking more to himself than to Niall.
"Zayn I was never your boyfriend." It broke Zayn out of his reverie. It was like a harsh slap to the face. Then what were all of these memories flashing before his eyes? He was adamant that Niall is his boyfriend, but he wouldn't lie to him about this. Niall made it clear that he never dated the tan skinned lad to begin with.
Zayn was sure that he was Niall's boyfriend, but it was like he woke up as his friend. It was like it was all a figment of his wild imagination.

But the wait (I hope) will be worth it as it will be diving into some of the stuff a otherworlder in a significant position of power could do with the right knowledge. With that little warning over with I hope you enjoy this novel of mine. Its my first actual attempt at writing a story for people to read so please keep that in mind.
