making me jump to my feet and run in the direction it came from. The container that Bucky, Sam and Zemo entered had blown up. I looked around in a state of panic, noticing a man with a grenade launcher on top of a red container.
I ran over to the container once the man had left, stepping over and trying my best to avoid any metal that had scattered the area. I managed to enter the area where Sam and Bucky would've been, glass now accompanying the metal on the floor and an alarm blaring with red lights flashing.
"Bucky!"
"Eris! We're over here!" I heard Bucky call back.
I looked over, seeing him using the tables around him to stand. I rushed over, placing an arm around his waist and taking one of his hands in mine, helping him stand up straight. Once Bucky was up, I went to Sharon's aid, making sure she was alright and Bucky went to Sam before we all got out of there.
"We have to go! This place will blow again!" I shouted over the commotion.
Just as I said, the place blew but thankfully we'd already gotten out. The four of us, Zemo not included as he'd vanished elsewhere, held guns at the ready.
"Alright! Wait for my signal!" Bucky shouted, but Sam shot his gun anyway, not waiting for any man.
"I don't think we're going to need your signal!" I remarked sarcastically to Bucky who just folded his lips inward and shook his head.
I shot at a couple of the guys who were surrounding us, the other three doing the same. I cautiously made my way to Sam, keeping low and being quick.
"Sam, I could fly over there and take these guys out in a second." I told him, still standing up to shoot at some of them.
"No!" He replied, "You could get hurt!"
"And I could hurt here! At least then they'd be out quicker and we could leave!"
Sam looked at me with a serious face, the both of us crouched behind a piece of metal. I could tell he was debating it.
"Sam! Eris is not flying over there!" Bucky shouted over to us.

"Shut up, Bucky!" The two of us called back in sync.
Sam sighed heavily, "I know you'll do it whether i approve it or not, but Bucky will scold you."
"Nothing new."
Sam gave me a sharp nod before standing up and shooting again. "Cover Eris!" He called to Bucky and Sharon.
I began to fly over, managing to take out multiple different guys. I went for another one until another explosion went off from some pipes and I was sent tumbling back, landing roughly on the floor with a loud groan of pain as I landed on my wings.
I managed to stand again, a couple guys near me but there was one guy who stood out. One in a purple mask and a coat that was the same as Zemo's. Goddamn. Zemo.
"Hey, Eris. Come one, let's go." Bucky said as he crouched down by me and assisted me in standing up.
He kept his arm around my waist as we ran to safety, still getting shot at. I tried to tell Bucky I was fine and didn't need him to walk, but he said nothing and just tightened his grip on my waist slightly but not too much to hurt.
"Buck!" Sam shouted, opening the door to a container as some guys surrounded us and shot.
Bucky almost pushed me into the container. Sharon and I took cover as Sam and Bucky took care of the men until they were inside with us with Sam closing the door.
"Eris, your wings." Sharon said with an almost sad tone hinting in her voice.
I looked over my shoulder, seeing a few burnt off feathers and a little bit of blood. I sighed, all eyes on me and filled with worry. "It's fine, they heal." I assured them, but Bucky looked the least convinced.
After a while, once it was silent outside, Bucky pushed the doors open with his metal arm. A car came screeching around the corner with none other than Baron Zemo driving it. He stopped directly in front of us.
"Supercharger." He said, proud of his car.
"You're going back to jail." Sam told him.
"Do you want to find Karli or not?"

"He's right. We need him." Bucky said, siding with Zemo on this one and he got in the front passenger seat of the car. "And there's three of us and at least twenty of them. Come on."
"Fine. But if you try that shit again..." Sam started, pointing an accusing finger at Zemo.
"I wouldn't dream of it."
Sam sat in the back seat behind Bucky, and I walked round to the other side did the car to sit behind Zemo.
"Well that was one hell of a reunion." Sharon said, closing the car door for Sam but not getting in the car.
"You should come back to the States with us." I told her.
"I told you I can't. Just get me that pardon you promised me." She said.
I nodded, "well, there's always a spare room at mine if you change your mind." Sharon sent me a smile before she walked off, leaving us.
"You're not gonna move your seat up, are you?" Sam asked Bucky.
"No." Bucky replied, keeping a straight face and seeming unbothered.

Back on Zemo's private plane, Bucky sat on the same couch seat as me, with one leg on it with the other on the floor as he rubbed a white cloth on his metal hand, getting the blood off.
I sat with my knees held into my chest and my head resting on the back of the seat, just watching him contently as Sam spoke to someone on the phone about 'Donya Madani.'
Bucky screwed his face as he struggled with a certain part on his hand, applying pressure to the cloth with his finger to really get in there.
I sat up, taking the cloth slowly from his hand. His head looked up, his eyes watching my hand as I took his metal one in mine and pulled it towards me.
"What are you doing?" He asked, his voice still filled with the usual grumpiness and boredom but a hint of genuine curiosity.
"I'm helping you. Am I allowed to help you?" I queried, looking up at him and our eyes meeting. He nodded once, letting me return to cleaning his hand.
His eyes didn't leave my face. Instead, they watched my expression, Bucky's head tilting to the side slightly.
"You really do have a staring problem, huh?" I said, looking up at him through my eyelashes.
He slowly shook his head for a moment, "I just like watching your concentration face. You always get creases by your eyes when you concentrate." Bucky quietly spoke as I finished up with his hand.
"You still have a staring problem." I repeated with a small smile, sitting up straight now, the two of us looking at each other.
Bucky smiled back but both of our attention was drawn away when Sam huffed down into his seat.
"You okay?" Bucky asked him, the two of us now looking at Sam.
"Yeah." He replied glumly. "Just thinking about all the shit Sharon had to go through. And Nagel referring to the American test subject like Isaiah wasn't even a real person. Just makes me wonder how many people have to get steamroller to make way for this hunk of metal." Sam sat up and turned to face me and Bucky.
"Well, it depends on who you ask. That hunk of metal saved a lot of lives." Bucky said.
"Yeah, I get that. Alright. Maybe I made a mistake."
"You did."Bucky said bluntly.
"Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't have put it in a museum. Maybe I should have destroyed it."
"Look, that shield represents a lotta things to a lotta people, including me. The world is upside down, and we need a new Cap, and it ain't gonna be Walker. So before you destroy it, I'll take it from him myself."
Sam's phone rung, so he answered it as Zemo handed us all small plates of food and then sat down with us.
"They found Madani..." Sam started, "dead. She died in Riga, a city near the Baltic Sea."
"I have a place we can go." Zemo announced, "I, for one, am looking forward to coming face to face with Karli. Oeznik, we're changing the course."
