good," Jennie pursed her lips together after hearing Soobin's plan, "but can I ask why? Are you like homophobic or something?"
"No," Soobin simply answered.
"What is it then? Do you like one of them or something?" Jennie scowled, "Are you trying to break them apart because you're jealous?"
Soobin hesitated for a moment, "Yes, or at least I was, but it's not about that anymore."
"Just tell me what it is already," Jennie rolled her eyes, losing patience in the younger.
"It's about our group as a whole," Soobin fidgeted with his hands, "We're falling apart."
Jennie groaned, slightly tugging on the ends of her hair, "Didn't you just say it didn't have anything to do with your group?"
"It, it does, but not in the sense that they all need to be involved in the plan," Soobin tried explaining, "I feel like if I can stop their relationship before getting so close that they can easily hurt each other and possibly our careers."
"You think their relationship alone will affect your careers?" Jennie tried her best not to laugh at the other's fear.
"Yes, it can. If they become strangers towards each other then how are they supposed to dance or sing together? How are they going to interact with each other in front of the fans without feeling awkward? They can't," Soobin sighed, "It'll be like a domino affect, we'll all eventually start to fight. First it'll be about them then we'll start pointing fingers at each other and then what? All of our teamwork we built will be gone and so will Tomorrow by Together."
"I get where you're coming from but you're pretty stupid if you think that's the only-"
"The only what, problem? I know they aren't the only problem, in fact I'm one of them. They're right, I'm a terrible leader but I'm trying my best to work on myself to make up for my past mistakes and I feel like this is my start," Soobin clenched his fists, "I know it sounds selfish now but I'm scared. We all worked so hard to get to where we are now and I can't let us fall back down, as their leader it's my responsibility."
"So what? Are you guys not allowed to be close or something?" Jennie clicked her tongue, "Someone that doesn't allow their members to have connections outside of their job sounds like a pretty awful leader to me."
"That's not what I'm trying to say! We can be friends but having a romantic relationship, especially if-," Soobin let out a sound of annoyance and stood up, "You know what, if you aren't even going to try to listen to what I'm trying to say then just forget it."
He began to walk away but Jennie grabbed his wrist and pulled him back down, "Wait, I'm sorry, I'll listen."

Soobin scoffed, "Yeah right," and pulled out of her grasp.
"Get back here!" she hissed at him.
Soobin turned back around, a smirk played on his lips, "Make me." Jennie stood her ground and eyed him, after a few seconds of nothing happening, Soobin began to walk away. The girl wasn't sure why but watching him fade away made her feel anxious. She bit her lip as she hesitated, and before he could be completely out of view she ran after him.
"Hey!" she called after him, but Soobin only began to pick up his pace and before he could get away from her, Jennie leaped at him and pulled him into a hug, "You can't leave."
"What are you-" Soobin jumped at her actions, but didn't try to push her off, "Why do you want to help me so bad?"
"I just want to ok?" Jennie closed her eyes and let go of the younger, "Plus you still have those pictures."
"Oh you mean these?" Soobin pulled out a few polaroids prom his back pocket. Jennie reached out for them but Soobin held them above his head, out of her reach. Jennie whined and stomped her foot down several times. "Calm down princess," Soobin rolled his eyes and threw the pictures on the ground, "I don't need your help. I'll figure it out myself."
She quickly bent down and picked up the pictures, "Tomorrow," she looked up at him, "I'll be there."
Soobin smiled, "See you then."

Taehyun walked the long route to school today. There was still an hour and a half before their first class started so he hoped to waste some of that time on his way there. The brunette let his mind wander to different things. He thought about tomorrow, their next concert, he couldn't believe it was here so soon. It only felt like yesterday they just finished their last performance, and that was when his feelings started to grow even stronger.
"Don't think about that, stupid," he pinched his arm to distract himself.
Mr. Park's words replayed in his head, 'You have to flirt with each other.' Taehyun didn't want to do that. He'll probably just stand to the side and watch them, he always did that anyways so there's no reason to treat this any different. It's not like Taehyun minded, he liked to see his friends have fun but sometimes he wished he felt a bit more included.
"It's your fault," Taehyun whispered to himself, "Just talk to them, they're your friends after all." He tried to shake away his thoughts, "My friends?"
Taehyun started to think about this morning and felt guilty. He wondered if just leaving like that was the right thing to do, he didn't want anyone to worry. Taehyun blanked out for a moment before snapping back into his thoughts. I'm sure Beomgyu told them where I went by now. They're all probably having a nice time together.

The thought made him smile. He really did love his friends. Kai has been his best friend, long before they were accepted into Big Hit Academy. Yeonjun has always been there for him, always putting others in front of himself. Beomgyu, well, he's just an overall amazing person. And Soobin, Taehyun sighed, thinking about him now made him feel sad. When they met for the first time they really hit it off with each other. They were almost inseparable, but now, every time he thought about the older he just felt hurt.
Taehyun thought about all the things they did before they debuted. Like that one time they went ice skating when neither of them knew how to, and when they pranked Yeonjun, or that time they went to the candy bank together and wasted almost a hundred dollars, and ate it all the same night. They regretted it later but it was still fun. Taehyun chuckled at their shenanigans.
Then he started thinking about these past few days. How much they have grew apart since their career started makes him upset, but he told himself he wouldn't cry about it anymore. They're still friends, it's just complicated now. Taehyun keeps telling himself that it's because he's so stressed and busy, being their leader and everything. That still wouldn't explain some of the things he's doing though, like last night.
The memory of getting rejected made his face redden almost immediately.
"Beomgyu I'm sorry," he shifted his gaze to the frosted leaves on the ground, "Please don't think I hate you, I really don't, I just need to fix myself before I can face you again."
Taehyun shivered and pulled the yellow jacket he had just bought tighter around himself. He focused back on the road in front of him, "Well thinking about it isn't going to help."
-
Once Beomgyu and Kai had gotten to the school they looked for Taehyun.
"Do you think he's here this early?"
"Of course," Kai nodded, "Plus getting here twenty minutes before class starts isn't early. You just come in at the very last second."
"Can't be helped," Beomgyu shrugged, "It takes time to look this good."
"I've seen people get straight out of bed and look ten times better than you," Kai snickered. Beomgyu playfully punched the younger's, causing him to scream and run ahead.
"Get back here you little so and so," Beomgyu laughed and ran after him. They ran down a hall and Kai suddenly stopped in his tracks, causing the older to almost run into him, "What's wrong?" he asked, after regaining his balance.
Kai placed a finger over his own lips, "I thought I heard Taehyun's voice." Beomgyu nodded, and they stood there for a few moments, but didn't hear anything else.
"Sorry," Kai drooped his shoulders after a minute or so had passed, "I guess I'm just imagining things."
"No if you heard something he has to be around here somewhere," the older tried to convince him he wasn't crazy, "We just have to look," he instructed opening up a classroom door.
"Anything?" Kai tried to peek inside.
"No," Beomgyu closed it, "I'll look in the rooms on the right side of the hall and you look on the left." Kai eagerly nodded and began his search. Beomgyu did the same opening the second door in the hall, but once again was met by emptiness. He continued down the next few doors but still no luck. "Anything yet Kai?" he called out.
"No," the younger responded, as he went inside another room.
"Maybe he really was just imagining things," Beomgyu sighed, opening another door. He looked around and noticed a figure towards the back of the room. "Taehyun?" Beomgyu flicked on the lights, causing the person to notice him.
"What do you want?" he asked softly.
"What are you doing in here," Beomgyu walked over to the other boy, "with the lights off?"
"I'm trying to practice," Taehyun answered, turning his attention back to the piano in front of him.
"Oh, I didn't even see that there," Beomgyu laughed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Uh huh," Taehyun replied.
"Is something wrong?" Beomgyu asked, noticing his unusually cold behavior.
"I'm fine," the brown haired boy answered, with a tight smile.
"Umm," Beomgyu felt almost uncomfortable for some reason, "Hey, I just wanted to apologize about this morning."
"It's whatever," Taehyun said "I knew it was never going to happen anyways."
Beomgyu frowned, "You don't know that for sure." Taehyun didn't respond and just grabbed his things. "Where are you going?" Beomgyu furrowed his brows.
"To class, the bell is about to ring and I don't want to be caught up in hallway traffic," Taehyun explained.
"Already? Time goes by really fast sometimes," Beomgyu smiled, "I'll walk with you."
Taehyun bit his tongue, he couldn't tell him no a second time or else he'll just seem like a jerk, "Ok."
"Come on Kai should be close by," Beomgyu grabbed his hand and led him out of the room, "Look at who I found," he raised their hands, noticing the younger a few doors down.
"Taehyun!" Kai ran down the hall and pulled him into a hug, "I was so worried about you."
"Sorry," Taehyun giggled, "I should have told you first."
Kai shook his head, "No it's ok I understand I'm just glad you're ok."
"Of course I am," he smiled at the black haired boy, "Come on let's get to class before everyone else does," he linked arms with Kai and with Beomgyu holding his other hand they all headed to their classroom.

"I get the feeling this story might be one of those 'diamonds in the rough'. The premise is quite solid, there's plenty of room to flesh out the characters. It's quite easy to get into and be engaged by at the moment, imo. I don't know where the story will go from here, but it's off to a good start me thinks." - Xenower Attribution: The cave picture in the book cover is made by Stanislav Sedov and is licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ This picture was modified from the original with an overlaid moon and sea picture to be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ssedov/26342569905 The photographer has no affiliation to Tschallacka nor can be held accountable for the use of this picture the way as it is here.
