Imagine this: shining bright Wednesday morning, supply run is scheduled, peaceful music is playing, happy happy happy...
Then, dark clouds shroud and dread envelopes the universe and everything falls into a giant crevasse in the ground.
Zay is doing a supply run with me and Jacks.
What the actual crap.
It's like the universe itself is out to get me.
Now, we're in a store and Jacks is looking for food and Zay and I are looking for girl products. Carl is at the prison being Farmer Grimes. He told me to be safe.
We're looking at tampons when I thought it is a good time to bring it up. "Why'd you steal my drawings?" I say coolly.
That's me, suave Ember smoother than the flickers of flames...assuming flames are possibly smooth.
Zay pretends to look shocked/offended, I can see right through it though. "Oh please, like you'd own anything worth stealing anyway!"
Ahem, how about my boyfriend? You seem set on taking him, but you're damn lucky I'm not crazy over-protective, Hun.
"Don't play dumb, Zay!" I accuse. "When my drawings went missing, I heard you talking to Carl about those drawings, claiming my art was yours."
Zay turns her back on me, whipping her thick, blonde hair around. "I don't need to listen to your crap, you're just jealous that you lack my talent!" She storms off and into some other aisle and I groan.
"Ugggh!" I exclaim, angrily stuffing tampons and deodorant into my bag.
Why drama? I don't need this! I've been trying SO hard to avoid this!
"Hey Em! We'll be outside waiting for you, if that's okay. Zay seems...unstably provoked." Jacks shouts from across the store. I can basically hear Zaylee stereotypically mumble "humph!", distressed and turn away crossing her arms.
We've already cleared The place out for walkers, so I'll be fine.
"Go ahead!" I yell and I can hear them exit.
And that's when I hear the hostile shouting.

Elaine is ripped from this world to Pallos, a land of unlimited possibilities made real by a grand System governing classes, skills, and magic. An ideal society? What is this, a fantasy novel? Adventures? Right this way! A Grand quest? Nah. Friends and loot? Heck yes! Humans are the top dog? Nope, dinosaur food. Healing and fighting? Well, everything is trying to eat her. Join Elaine as she travels around Pallos, discovering all the wonders and mysteries of the world, trying to find a place where she belongs, hunting those elusive mangos, all while the ominous Dragoneye Moons watch her every move. Hey! Beneath the Dragoneye Moons is my first writing effort, so please be kind, but don’t hesitate to point out the flaws. The story starts off slowly, more like a slice of life than action-adventure, but it gets there! I’m going to be posting M-W-F I do know how the story ends, and I promise if it ever gets dropped, or I stop doing this, I will post the ending. There will be no random “this is the last chapter” out of the blue. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

When mage Magdala Gallus gets suspended from Magisterium for making explosives instead of focusing her rare alchemical skills on more productive pursuits, her mother ships her off to her uncle, the absent-minded but brilliant Lord Kalan, as punishment. Hard at work creating an instrument capable of converting magic, her uncle soon draws Magdala into his quest for a dragon scale—the only thing that can prove his theory that magic is the same for everyone. However, as Magdala, Lord Kalan, and Lord Kalan’s unusual apprentice, Dwayne, soon realize, it’s an impossible mission. With bandits populating the region where the dangerous creatures live and a pair of mercenaries who aren’t who they seem, it will take more than their magic to find and kill a dragon . . . and stay alive.

"When you try KRO you will finally understand what you've been missing. You might even crow about it." Somehow KRO managed to become an extremely successful game even with the cheesy slogans, and massive opposition. When was first announced many questioned the safety of playing a game while hooked up to a simple headset that caused a coma. The company struggled for a few years, only supported by a few fans, and a couple wealthy investors, until the FDA finally finished their tests and determined the technology was perfectly safe. When the release date was finally announced, the only information that anyone had about the game was that it would be almost like lucid dreaming, with other people and a system of rules. This is the story of one of the first to enter KRO, and the exploration of an uknown universe.
