Everything looks so different at night. The moon was high in the sky, cut open by only the highest of branches. Streetlights casted long shadows on the glittering sidewalk, blending trash cans and bin bags in with the wall. A large owl hooted overhead, diving down to grab its next meal.

And I didn't notice any of it. What I noticed was the stain of blood on the dirty ground. White fangs flashing, begging for blood. Deep loud growls were thrown up to the night sky, frightening away the stars as they hid and watched.

"Get behind me." Max instructed, pulling at my arm and shielding me with his own body. Void Stiles threw back his head and laughed, a crazy maniac laughter that rang around the cold alleyway.

"I guarantee neither of you will be saying that when I'm done with you." Void Stiles threatens, stepping closer and this time Scott attacks. Except this time he was going for me, claws poised high and deadly.

"No!" Max shouts, wrapping his arms around me, twisting round so that his whole body protected mines as Scott's claws raked down his son's back.

Max screams in pain and suddenly, like something overcame me I pushed Max aside, eyes flashing a dangerous jet black.

My hands came up, one hand open and facing Scott and the other Void Stiles. Both grabbed their throats, choking and gagging soundlessly as they hung off the ground.

Dark fog drifted around the ground as I watched the two of them fight and struggle.

"Y/N!" I heard weakly from behind me. A soft hand was placed on my shoulder and immediately my hand dropped as I let out a deep heaving breath.

Scott and Void Stiles dropped to the ground, coughing as I stumble into Max's arms.

"We need to go." I gasped, threading my fingers in between his as I warily eyed the two "men" on the ground.

Max groaned and I only just noticed the three large slashes cutting through Max's tee-shirt and skin, blood oozing thickly from them.

Without thinking dark veins tattooed my skin as I squeeze Max's hand.

"We need to go." I whispered again and Max nodded, his chocolate brown curls falling into his puppy dog eyes.

And then we ran, the moon as our guide and stars as encouragers. I never let go of his hand and I didn't plan to either.
