《Alpha Human》The Final Chapter Part 2

We had been driving for about three hours, and we were already in DC. I sat in the back, playing out every scenario making sure for every back up plan that I had another back up plan. Jacob sat in the front reading directions to Harry, meaning that I was stuck in the back with my father. "You okay?" he asked me.
"Perfect" I answered.
"You know; you don't have to carry this alone. That's what we're here for"
I ignored him, hoping that it would drop a hint. Thankfully the car parked, and I didn't have to worry about speaking to him anymore. "Were about one third a kilometer away from the white house gates. It's as close as I can take you." Harry said.
"Thank you Harry." I said trying to get out, but my father grabbed my arm stopping me before I could.
"Could you guys give us a moment?" he asked Harry, and Jacob.
They nodded getting out of the car. "Look Samuel, I know you hate me, but I just need you to know one thing before we go in." he said.
"I understand my duty" I said to him. "And I don't hate you" I clarified with a smile. I hadn't seen him look so relieved in a while. I opened the door and stepped out. "Come on, before authorities are alerted." I said.
Jacob pulled out his piece, and followed me along with my father. "Leave now Harry" he said to his son. Harry got into the car, and drove off.
"No turning back now" I said to Jacob.
"I wouldn't dream of it" he said.
A guard came toward us with a gun. Surprisingly, Jacob kicked the gun out of his hand and punched him in the stomach. "Still got it" he said.

"Watch out James Bond, next time you might break a hip" My father said to him.
"Tell me why I chose to go on a mission with two Samuels again?" Jacob asked rhetorically.
I laughed, and pulled out the earpiece that Grant had given me. I placed it into my ear and spoke into it. "Can you hear me?" I asked.
"Loud and clear" Grant said through the device.
"Tell your brother to hack past the system and open the gate" I said.
"You remember the locations, right?" Grant asked.
"Up the staircase on the left" I answered.
"Good" he said. It hadn't even been ten seconds and the gate opened wide and clear. "Hold on tight" I said to Samuel, and Jacob. I grabbed them by the shoulder, and ran through the gate to the front door of the white house, where twenty guards were ready for us.
Jacob raised his weapon. "No killing" My father said, "I won't have innocent blood shed on our hands"
"What do you suppose I do?" Jacob asked.
"Step back" he said. We did as he asked, and he pulled out a cylindrical sphere and threw it into the crowd. It exploded, spewing electric rays all around stunning them. "Let's go" he said.
I ran into the building, and halfway up the steps. I then turned around and dropped a device, that Grant had given me, at the bottom. It created an invisible force field blocking anyone else from coming up. My father and Jacob tried to get through but they couldn't. "What's going on?" Jacob asked me.
"I'm sorry, but I can't let you guys get hurt. It's just me now" I said.
My father yelled while trying to break the force field, "Stop this right now, Samuel Johns you can't do this alone, and I won't let you"

"I can't let someone I love die. This is my mess, and I'm going to clean it up...alone" I explained. I turned my back on them as they yelled at me, and ran up the steps.
As I got to the top I noticed something off about the hallway. It was uncomfortably silent, and it terrified me. I opened the door to the oval office, and saw Raegan sitting there. "Well, well, well" he said to me. "So we meet again"
I walked closer to him, but was grabbed before I took another step. I felt a needle go into my back, and soon felt powerless. "You're familiar with Ziroy, right?" he asked. They threw me to the ground.
"You still get other people to do your dirty work, I guess your powerless, huh?"
Raegan laughed. "Yes, well it was just recently I discovered that your DNA is impossible to splice."
"Then you're at a dead end, just give yourself up and you get to go easy on the chair"
He chuckled. "I have plans for the future, that of which don't involve the death sentence"
The Harmattan walked in through the doors on the left wall. "Long time no see" he said to me.
"What the hell do you want" I said in disgust.
"What we want is your sworn allegiance" he answered.
"My allegiance?" I repeated.
"We need more fire power, or nuclear power I should say" Raegan answered. "You seem to be the only candidate who can do that for us"
"Don't you have a country with a military behind you back?" I asked.
"Yes, but I need a more undetectable weapon such as yourself. What do you say?"
"I'd never work with you" I answered.
"You see, I thought you'd say that, this'll make the process more fun" Harmattan said.
He took me and threw me into the next room where a chair stood. They picked me up, and pushed me into the chair tying my arms and legs up. "What are you doing?" I asked scared.
"This machine goes into the memory part of your brain, and erases everything. Then it will input false memories of us, leaving you to think that we are a team. And all your friends, and family are evil."
"No!" I yelled trying to break free, "You can't do that!"
"Yes we can" he said laughing.
"Your insane" I told him.
"Gee, your starting to sound like the therapist I had when I was younger" he said. He placed the helmet on my head. "Soon, you'll see the light, and all your troubles and worries will go away."
He turned it on, and images began to flash. I tried to fight it but I couldn't. Slowly my memories were being stripped from me, and I was helpless to it. All I could do was stand by and watch it happen.
Suddenly everything ended in a bright light, and I stopped fighting it. I hadn't even known what I had been fighting, just that I was scared. The helmet was lifted off of my face, and once again I could see. "What's going on?" I asked.
"Your father tried to hurt you again." Raegan said to me, "It's okay, we saved you"
"You saved me?" I asked arching my eyebrow.
"Yes, and now we can continue on with our plan to make sure he doesn't win" he answered. "Do you remember what that plan is?"
I smiled, "Yes" I agreed standing with them, "We must continue"

What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart. Some would have you believe that it is our ability to think and reason that makes us fundamentally different from the creatures that inhabit the world. That way of thinking, my friends, is entirely wrong. What seperates us from them and them from each other, is simply the skin that we all wear
