"Make sure you guys are there at seven. No later." Pam nods her head, kissing Danny on the cheek. He walks over to his motorcycle and speeds away. Pamela watches him as he goes.

"What's going on at seven?" Bev asks, and Pam looks over at her.

"The boys wanna meet up at our spot." Pam turns to me, and smirks. "You ready to see what it's really like to be a Pink Lady?" I nod my head, and smirk back at her.

"Make sure your wear a bathing suit under your dress. Meet me in my driveway." Pam and I go our separate ways. I go to my house, grabbing my clothes for cheer practice as I head to school. Today was a big day. Right after school I would be trying out for cheer captain, and then I would be going out with the girls. I felt rebellious, I felt excited.

But most of all, I was excited about finally meeting Mr. Mysterious.

"Alright girls, welcome to cheer tryouts!" Mrs. Vitalli yells, smiling at all of us. She was my calculus teacher, but she also happened to be the head of cheer leading.

"First, we are going to do some routines to see who is capable of being on the team." She looks down at her clipboard, and then back up at us. "Let's start with the juniors."

About six juniors step up, and they get into their positions. Mrs. Vitalli starts the music, and I noticed some of them are off count. Some of them can't do the jumps or moves right, but they push through and finish the whole routine. By the end, they are all breathing heavily, and Mrs. Vitalli smiles at them all.

"Good job, girls." She walks up to them, looking at each girl. She points to the three girls on the left, and says, "You three go. The other three stay.", and the three girls walk away with their heads bowed. The other three girls smiled and cheered with each other, and then returned to sit on the bleachers.

"Alright, let's have the seniors." Stacy, me, and five other girls walked up. She started the music, and we did the routine. Stacy and I didn't miss one count or jump. We finished the routine smoothly. Mrs. Vitalli gives us a big smile, and walks up to us.

"That was amazing!" She squeals, clapping her hands. She points to two girls on the left of Stacy, and tells them to go. They walk away, while the five of us smile and congratulate each other.

"Alright, let's start with the captain tryouts! Step up if you want to try!" I stepped up, and looked to my left and right to realize I was the only girl to step up.

"Nobody else wants to try?" Mrs. Vitalli says, and the girls shake their heads. She shrugs and smiles at me.

"Okay then, I guess Michelle is the captain!" I smile at her, and she smiles at me. The rest of the girls congratulate me, and then we have a quick practice before going our separate ways.

I walk home, and look at the clock to see it reads 6:50. I quickly run to my room, throw on my black and red bathing suit, and slide my dress on over it. After putting on my flip flops, I run out the front door and meet Pam by her car.

"You ready?" She asks, opening the back door to let the other girls in the car.

"Yeah. I'm ready." She smiles at me and we hop into her pink convertible. We drive down our street and enter the city. After we pass the high school, we reach another road where literally nothing is around. We drive down that road for thirty minutes, until we finally pull over besides the woods. The girls get out of the car, and I shoot them all a questioning look.

"You ready for the night of your life, Hawley?" Bev says, shooting me a smile, and I nod my head. We walk into the woods, through branches and grass, until we reach a clearing. The girls walk down a little hill until we reach a swimming hole. At the top of it is a cliff, and the boys are standing beside it, getting ready to climb up.

"Hey Pam." Danny says, walking over to her and wrapping an arm around her. She smiles at him, and buries her head into his shoulder. Rickie starts to talk to Bonnie, and Rocco goes over to Bev.

"Well we aren't just gonna stand here." Rocco said, "Let's go jump in!" He runs up to the cliff with Bev over his shoulder. She hits his back, yelling at him to put her down, but she's laughing like crazy. He jumps in with her in his arms, and when they come back up, he smiles at her.

"Let's go, babe." Danny whispers to Pam, and she nods her head. They walk up to the top of the cliff and jump together. I follow Bonnie and Rickie up, and the three of us jump at the same time. The water was freezing, but it felt so good against my skin. The cliff was about ten feet off the ground, so when you jumped in, you had to swim for your life to stay surfaced. The water iself was probably twelve feet.

"Rocco, put me down!" We look to see Bev on his shoulders, as he goes after Danny and Pam. They chicken fight, and Bev eventually knocks down Pam and Danny. Rocco highfives her, and she smiles at him. We all hop out and walk up to the cliff, starting shoving each other. Danny shoves Pam into the water, and Rickie shoves Danny in. Bonnie, Rocco, Bev, and I were shoving each other around, until someone accidentally shoved me off the cliff, and not towards the side where the water was.

"Someone catch her!" Bonnie yells, and I close my eyes, knowing this was going to be my death.

But I never hit the ground.

I opened my eyes to see deep brown eyes staring into my blue ones. He had messy brown hair, and as soon as I saw him, I automatically knew who he was. The resemblance was uncanny, but I couldn't believe it. He looked down at me, a sly grin growing on his lips.

"I'm Axel. Axel McCarthy." I stare at him, my eyes wide, my heart slightly breaking.

Yep, most definitely not a coincidence.
