Hiccup's POV:

--------------------

"Chief, winters nearly here, what do you propose we do? Should we prepare for the Windwisps?" Mulch asked.

"Yeah, make sure the hanger has enough room for them all, they are big dragons." I told him as he ran off.

"Hiccup! Finally. We were wondering if you were ever going to come." Fishlegs said, standing in the square with the rest of the gang.

"What am I going to do with her?" I asked them as I took a seat on one of the benches near by.

"Let her go out more often!" Astrid replied behind me. I turn around to see her hands on her hips.

"I'm sensing another family moment...bye." Ruff said and left with the rest of them.

"You can't keep her locked up all the time." Astrid said taking a seat next to me.

"You know I don't want to, I just want her safe. We don't need anymore limbs missing thank you." I grumbled putting my head in my hands.

"She isn't going to loose a limb." She persuaded.

"She thinks I don't care. All I want is her to be okay." I lifted my head to face her.

"She'll be fine. Where is she going to go?" Astrid giggled.

"I don't know?" I sighed.

"She loves you Hiccup. If only you could see that." She grabbed my hand.

"I guess your right. Fine, you win. She can start at the school." I replied.

"I'm sure she will be overwhelmed to here you say that."

"Wait, I have to tell her?"

"Hiccup, man up or gods sakes. She's your daughter now go talk to her!" Astrid ordered pulling me up.

"As long as she doesn't try to shoot me like last time." I muttered.

"What was that?"

"Nothing." I said, kissing her cheek and walking off.

Eylimi's POV:

--------------------

"He never listens. And when he does its always with his overprotective scowl, like someone told him I was going to be kidnaped." I talked to Windwalker, my terrible terror. "Excuse me, Eylimi, I'm afraid I saw you outside. I ordered you to stay inside for the rest of your life, never to see the light of day again. Your safety is my one priority, you must never leave Berk ever!" I improvised dad, walking back and forth in my room while Windwalker just looked at me with a tilted head. The purple little guy just breathed a puff of smoke and curled up on the windowsill. "Thank you, for summing that up." I told him sarcastically and fell on my bed. Could this day get any worse?

"Eylimi?" I rest my case. "Eylimi? I heard dad call again from down stairs. I groaned and roll out of bed. I walked downstairs where I see him standing there.

"Dad! I need to talk to you dad." I said.

"I need to speak with you too Eylimi." He began.

"I think it's time you let me take care of myself more." I said but over the top he talked over.

"I think it's time you learned how to train a dragon." He said at the same time. Then we both followed with a... "What?"

"You go first." I offered.

"Alright, dragon training, you start in the morning." He said calmly.

"Are you serious?" I asked him.

"Yeah, you mother persuaded me to give you some more responsibilities so I'm trusting you to prove to me you can do it." He explained.

"Yes! YES!" I yelled a little shocked. "Yes! You are the best!" I said jumping off the stairs and into his arms.

"You'll need this." He said handing me a helmet. I continued hugging him while I looked at the thing. Wait.... Is that what I think it is?

"I had to wear it when I was your age too. It's best if you just don't know where it's been." He said and glimpsed into the other room where Valka was.

"I heard that!" Valka yelled back.

"Um, thanks." I answer.

"Train hard. Don't let me down." He said walking out.

"Your the best!" I yell as he closed the door. "Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" I kept saying as I ran around the table.

"Eylimi come here won't you?" Valka called. I walked into the other room where I see her sitting in her chair as normal.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked.

"The roof?" She responded.

"Nah." I replied sarcastically.

"I was waiting until you finally went to training so that I could give you this." She said handing me the staff she always has next to her chair.

"What? No I can't take this. It's yours. You have had it with you since forever." I answer pushing it back to her.

"Please, it's no use to me anymore. It's like giving Gothi a weapon. She might pick it up and turn to dust." She laughed at herself.

"Are you sure?" I confirmed.

"Yes, absolutely love." She answered.

"You know, I've been wondering. Why do you even have this staff? I mean, only you and dad have one. What does it even do?" I asked looking at the tall thing with two bent bone like things on each end.

"Come closer." She said so I leaned in. "When I was with the dragons for twenty years I found that long staffs or sticks actually made them listen to you more. I guess it's more threatening in a way. Only me and your father know because we know all the little tips and tricks to training a dragon. No one can teach you the tricks though. You have to teach yourself. It's the only way. Because you can't use the same tricks as we do. You have your own. When you know how to control a dragon properly. You will be a dragon master. Just like your father." She smiled.

"What are these rattle things on each end?" I asked.

"You'll know when it's time." She responded. Wow, not much help Valka.

"When you are, a dragon master, does that mean you can tame ANY dragon?" I asked.

"Well, yes. Even the greatest of the greats. But I guess when I say that, me and your father don't look like dragon masters. We definitely couldn't train the great dragons." She said.

"But you said that you trained a bewilderbeast."

"Oh, no, no, no, no. I didn't train him. He trained me. The only reason he didn't kill me was because Cloudjumper told him a was a friend and not a foe." She answered.

"What about Drago then? He trained one." I stated.

"He did it badly. I'm not even sure how he did it but I know for a fact that the way he did it was inhumane and harsh." She sighed.

"What about the Great Wondereye?" I asked.

"Wait. Where did you hear that?" She asked me.

"Dad said that during a great battle with Dagur before he married mum there was a giant creature that's tail could cause a flood. He said that while he was underwater he saw it. Apparently it swallowed him and spat him back out." I laughed.

"He saw a Great Wondereye?!" She raised her voice.

"Yeah, is it that big of a deal?" I questioned.

"The Wondereye is known to be the first dragon ever to exist. The giant creature is three times the size of a bewilderbeast and he controls whether the dragons stay or go, whether it's their time or not. The bewilderbeast is the king and controls them but the Wondereye can remove the whole dragon species from existence with the blink of an eye." She explained.

"Wow, that's intense."

"I don't even think the greatest of the greats, if there was one, could train a dragon like that. Not to mention even find one. Your father would have been lucky to even see the tail." She continued.

"That's a lot of detail." I giggled.

"I wouldn't worry about it lass. You know me getting carried away with my stories and such. You'll be lucky if you even see a bewilderbeast in your lifetime. The one I stayed with was one of the very few that still exist." She said.

"Cool, anyway, back to the staff. Are you sure this is going to help me with the dragons?"

"Trust me love, it'll do the trick. Just don't tell anyone it's a secret between you, me and your father. Not to mention only the great dragon masters actually figure out how to use them." She laughed.

"Do you honestly think I could be a dragon master. I mean look at me."

"Look at you? Clearly you haven't seen the painting of your father when he was fifteen in the great hall standing next to Stoick. He was more of a fishbone then you ever were." She laughed.

"Alright, alright. Thanks Val. It really means a lot." I thanked her.

"Your welcome. And I hope you get your own dragon soon." She smiled. I smiled back and walked upstairs.
