《How To Train Your Dragon: The Next Heir》Chapter 1 - This Is Berk

Eylimi's POV:
--------------------
This, is Berk. It's twelve days North of hopeless and a few degrees South of freezing to death. It's located solemnly on the meridian of misery. My village. In a word? Sturdy. It's been here for eight generations but every single building is new. We have fishing, hunting and a charming view of the sunsets. So the only other upsides are the pets! You see while most places have ponies or parrots, we have. Dragons!
Most people would fight. (I run out the house.) But not us, we're Vikings. We have, stubbiness issues. My names Eylimi. Great name I know, but it's not the worst. Parents believe that an uncommon name will be remembered by future generations to come. Like our charming Viking demeanour wouldn't do that. (I get knocked over by uncle Snotlout.)
"Ahh? Morning." He greeted. I run to get to higher ground but I'm yelled at along the way.
"What are you doing here?"
"Get back inside!"
"What are you doing out?"
"Get back inside!" Different Vikings order me. I run towards the forge but grabbed by dads dragon by the back of the shirt before I got hit with a fire blast.
"Eylimi! What is she doing out again? What are you doing out? Get inside!" He ordered as the dragon put me down and I continued running towards the forge.
That's Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third. Chief of the tribe. They say when he was fifteen he ended the dragon wars of the world. Do I believe it? Yes I do.
"What have we got?" He asked Fishlegs.
"Gronckles, Nadders, Zipplebacks, oh and Tuff saw a clan of Monstrous Nightmare." He answered.
"Any, uh, Night Furies?" Dad asked.
"None so far."
"Okay." He sighed.
"Light the torches!" Vikings yelled as they heightened the torches while our dragons flew back and forth trying to bring down the untrained ones. I ran into the forge taking my hood off to put my apron on.
"Oh nice of you to join the party. I thought you'd be carried off." He stated, fixing his moustache that hung to his hips.
"What? Who me? Nah, I'm way to muscular for their taste. They wouldn't know what to do with all this!" I said showing all the muscle I had. Not that I had any.
"Well, they need more toothpicks don't they?" He answered sarcastically.
That meathead with attitude and interchangeable hands is Gobber. I've been his apprentice ever since I was little, well littler.
"We move to the law defences. We try bringing them down with the beacons." I heard dad order as he ran past the forge. A house caught fire.
See, old village, lots and lots of new houses.

Oh and that's Mudskip (A large fellow, just like his non-related father, Fishlegs who now looks after him after he washed ashore of Berk five years ago.)
Vidgrip, (Snotlout and Ruffnuts Kid. Who looked a lot like Snotlout but with Ruffs hair colour.)
The twins Vika and Viko (Tuffnut and Tiffany's children. Let's just say, clearly Tuff is the father. Vika has his shade of hair but the same face as Tiffany while Viko is exactly the same.)
And...Hunter! (Eret and Learoli's kid. He looks just like them both so over all he is amazing. The dark hair, the brown eyes, the cute smile. Wow. Much better than me who has the same hair as my mum but auburn with blue eyes and I'm just as skinny if not skinnier than my dad was.)
Oh, their job is so much cooler. (I learn out the window to see them holding small torches and waving them around, hoping a dragon will come down for them to train.)
"Woah, not so fast!" Gobber pulled me back.
"Oh come on, let me out please! I need to make my mark!" I smiled as he put me down.
"Oh, you've made plenty of marks. All in the wrong places." He said poking me.
"Please two minutes, I'll train a dragon, my life will get infinitely better. I might even get a date!" I fought.
"You can't lift a hammer, you can't swing an axe, you can't even through one of these!" He said lifting a net.
"I know, I know but I am handy with a bow." I smiled and shot an arrow at him, missing him by an inch, cutting a few hairs off his moustache.
"You see this right here is that I'm talking about!" He yelled.
"Come on that was a good shot!" I argued.
"Don't you know, Eylimi. If you ever want to get out there, to train a dragon, you need to stop all...this!" He pointed to me.
"You just pointed to all of me!" I complained.
"That's it then, stop being all of you!"
"Oh..."
"Oh, yeah." He teased.
"You sir are playing a dangerous game! Keeping this much raw, Vikingness, contained, there will be consequences!" I threatened.
"Just like your father, I'll take my chances! Files, fill, Zippleback gas, now!" He ordered handing me a heavy box of small files I had to fill with Zippleback liquid for dad and the rest of the tribe that use his inventions.
One day I'll get out there. Because training a dragon, is everything around here. A Deadly Nadder is sure to get me at least noticed! But that's my mothers dragon. To cliché if you ask me. Gronckles are tuff but to bulk for me. A Zippleback? Exotic, two heads, needs two riders.

"They found the sheep!" Eret yelled.
"We draw them away from the lock heart bank!" Dad responded not to far away from the forge.
Then there's the Monstrous Nightmare. Only the bravest vikings go after those. They have this nasty habit of setting your pants on fire. (A Nightmare faced dad off but he took out his sword swung it around twice and the Nightmare bowed.)Although the ultimate prize is the rarest dragon anyone has ever seen. We call it the...
"NIGHT FURY!"
"GET DOWN!" I heard people yell as dad hopped on Toothless and flew up above the untrained dragons. Toothless flapped his wings and roared a mighty roar where all the dragons turned to him and instantly glided down to the ground to listen to his instructions. He's alpha.
A Night Fury is great but the dragon I'm looking for is a Stormcutter. Not just any Stormcutter. I'm looking for Cloudjumper. My gran, Valka's dragon. The Stormcutter onced believed she died so he ran away never to return. The thought of Valka's death was false though. We found her wash ashore after flying through a lighting storm. Valka told me that no one can train the Stormcutter except me. She neither can as now she can barley walk as it is. No one has ever found the Stormcutter. That's why I'm gonna be the first!
"Man the fort Eylimi! They need me out there!" Gobber told me. "Stay, put, there. You know what I mean." He ordered walking off. I quickly took my chance, grabbing my bow and running out into the forest.
"What are you doing here?" People questioned.
"I know, I know. I'll be right back!" I yelled back, still running. I know they want me safe just because I'm the next heir to the thrown of Berk but come on, I need to live. Just because I will be the first chefet doesn't mean I have to lock myself in doors to stay safe. I ran into the forest hoping I would find the Stormcutter. Ever dragon rain that comes over Berk with new dragons to train often brings the Stormcutter here. I continue to the cove hopping he would be there as I have heard rumours of him going there. I push back the vines and walk into the sunken ground. Nothing. Pitch quiet.
"Roawwwwwwwwwrrrrr!" I hear from behind me. I look back to face giant yellow eyes and another roar. It was him. Perched on the side of the wall only a few centre meters away. I wiped the spit off me and looked at him. I reached out my hand but nearly got it taken off. He roared again and flew East, landing not far away.
"Oh, I found it? Yes I found it! Did anybody see that?" I asked myself looking around the cove. I turn where I see an untrained Hotburple next to me. "Except for you." I sigh as it went to shoot fire at me. I ran back towards the village. "Ahhhhhh!" I yelled hoping for some help as the not so lazy as I thought creature, ran after me. I hid behind one of the torches as he shot lava at me. "Ahhh!" I scream as I look to my left to see if it was still there. Suddenly dad raced in front of me causing the Hotburple to focus on him. He took his sword that also turned into a staff. The staff popped out each end. He waved it around and hit it on the ground. The dragon flew away. Suddenly the pole the torch was on snapped and began rolling down the village. I saw it his a few Viking. That must have hurt.
"Sorry dad." I apologised. He looked at me with anger. All the untrained dragons flew away with our food not having enough time to be trained. "Okay but I found the Stormcutter." I stated trying to ease the tension. He grabbed me by the back of my blue long sleeved shirt and took the bow off me. "It's not like the last few times dad I mean I really actually found it! You guys were busy and I clearly saw it. It flew, just over raven point. Let's get a search party out there before it..." I was cut off.
"Stop! Please just stop! Every time you step outside I have to draw all my attention to you. Winter is almost here and I have the entire village to feed!" Dad complained.
"Well between you and me the village could do with a little less feeding, don't you think?" I persuaded.
"Yeah true, but that's not the point Eylimi! Why can't you follow the simplest orders?" He asked.
"I can't help myself I see a dragon and I just, I have to tame it you know. It's who I am dad."
"You are so many things Eylimi. But a dragon trainer isn't one of them yet. Get back to the house. Astrid make sure she gets there won't you. I have to clean this up." Dad complained as mum walked up and turned me around to get me walking home.
"Quite the performance." Vika laughed.
"Your dad helped!" Viko added.
"Thank you. Thank you, I was trying." I respond and keep walking. Mum hit Viko on the head with the long side of her axe.
