as much today. Are you sick, Diana?" James teased, smirking at Arabella as they walked outside the castle one clear Saturday morning. It has been a week since they publicly walked the halls of Hogwarts together, holding hands for the first time. Though most people found it strange that James Potter suddenly moved on from Lily Evans, they soon found him and Diana to be rather cute. Admittedly, everybody at Hogwarts thought James incessant compliments with Diana's witty banter was actually somewhat sweet. They were now affectionately known as 'James Squared.'

"Would you like me to complain?" Diana fired back, an eyebrow raised at James. Slowly but surely, she had gotten used to all the stares that everybody would give her. Well, that was what she liked to think. In reality every time that James thought that Diana was uncomfortable with the attention, he would distract her with a joke or two. It worked like a charm.

They walked side by side as they absorbed the rare warmth of the autumn sun. It was a clear morning and seemingly every single Hogwarts student was outside, giving Diana and James a full audience to fool with their love.

"This used to be my favorite spot in the entire Hogwarts grounds." Diana said, breathing in the clear air. Looking around, James took in the sheer beauty of the place they were in. In front of them was the Black lake, the water calm and steady. Beside them was a gigantic Willow tree that Diana liked to read under from when she was younger.

"I think this would still be my favorite spot." James said, whistling as he looked around with a small smile on his face. "Why-"

James stopped mid-sentence when he noticed that Diana wasn't beside him anymore. "Diana?" He called out, looking left and right for the blonde haired girl he was accompanying.

"James!" He heard someone call out from above him. He looked up to find none other than Diana perched up on one if the Willow tree's branches.

"You do realize that from where I'm standing I can see up your skirt?" James teased, a huge lopsided grin on his face.

"You freak! You didn't have to look."

"Hey, I didn't mean to." James smirked, holding his hands up in mock defense.

Diana rolled her eyes at him but laughed nonetheless. "Just get up here, Potter."

James shook his head with a small smile, rolled up his sleeves and proceeded to climb up the unusually tall Willow tree.

"Took you long enough." Diana said once James reached the branch that she was sitting on top of.

"Sorry, I'm not a world class tree climber like you." James joked and Diana laughed, shaking her head at him.

"Look at that view." James said, sighing in contentment as he looked forward. The castle in view, white fluffy clouds and a clear blue sky, with Hogwarts students milling about. It was truly picturesque.

"It's nice, isn't it." Diana said wistfully, agreeing with James. She had a small smile on her face, closed her eyes and sighed with a small smile on her face.

James turned to look at her in that exact moment and he swore his breath got caught in his throat. "Now, that is a view." He whispered lowly. He wasn't lying though. Her long, slightly wavy blonde hair cascading down her shoulders, the sunlight reflecting, making it look like gold. Her eyes closed, her long eyelashes prominent and slightly curled. Her corners of her mouth turned up slightly, forming a small smile. It was truly a sight to behold. He would be lying if he denied it.

"What did you say?" She asked, opening her eyes only to find James staring at her.

"Nothing." He said, quickly turning away and his cheeks turning a light shade of red. Diana shrugged and let the subject drop.

"Why isn't this your favorite place anymore? It's absolutely beautiful." James asked with genuine curiosity, his head slightly tilted when he looked back at her.

"Even the most beautiful places can be tarnished with the most terrible of memories." Diana said, smiling sadly.

"What happened?" James asked, now concerned. His eyebrows were furrowed and a small frown made its way on his face.

"Long story short, a jerk who broke up with me introduced me to this place. Didn't work out as he decided that I was too boring for him." Diana said, laughing darkly and continued to stare forward.

"He's missing out on an amazing girl." James said, nudging her slightly with a small, comforting smile.

"Thanks James."
