"I'm so glad you decided to stay longer!" Ariele smiled as she made breakfast.
Amber gave her a small smile "Yea Mecca really liked spending the night with Ivory. And you know she like being over here."
Ariele nodded "So what y'all up to today?"
"I guess once we finish breakfast and get ready, we're gonna go to Ivory's house to hang out. They having a cookout." Amber told her.
The two went quiet for a moment until Ariele broke the silence again.
"You spoke to Knowledge today?"
Amber slightly rolled her eyes, she was over him.
"Mm no."
"Hmm.." Ariele sounded causing Amber to roll her eyes again.
She didn't have time for anymore opinions.
"I just feel like you should talk to him again, you're quick to get on the defensive side and I think that causes the arguments."
"..So I'm the problem now?" Amber scrunched up her face as she tried to listen to her mom.
"Didn't say that Amber. See you just hear what you wanna hear sometimes."
"Okay ma.." Amber said as she heard feet coming towards them. "Mecca stop running in this house!"
Immediately, the noise quieted and Mecca appeared.
"Hi ma!"
"Hi Mecca." Amber laughed.
"I see Da." Mecca said with a wide smile.
"We'll call him once we finish eating, okay?"
This caused Mecca to frown. "No, I see da."
The doorbell rang as Amber scrolled on her phone.
"Okay Mecs.." Amber said as Mecca took a seat at the table.
"Amberrrrr!" She heard Chris call, causing her to let out a breath.
"Yes?" She answered, to get no response.
"Oh my gosh..." she mumbled before standing up and heading to the front.

She stopped in her tracks as reached the door, and saw Knowledge standing there.
The two stood there staring at each other until Chris cleared his throat.
"Y'all niggas weird." He chuckled before walking towards the kitchen.
Once he left, they still stood there as Amber refused to speak first.
Knowledge let out a breath.
"Amb.."
"I thought we talked about just popping up on each other." She said mugging him.
Knowledge smacked his lips.
"Come wimme."
Amber scrunched up her face "Come witchu where?"
"We bout to take a drive." He told her.
"Drive where? I haven't ate my breakfast.."
"Bruh stop playing, and just come on." He sighed.
Amber decided to let up on the attitude a little, and slid on her crocs that were at the door.
"Holon." She said turning around and heading into the kitchen.
"Ma can you keep an eye on Mecca for-"
"Yea, you go talk to that boy." Ariele said as she wrapped up two plates. "And take this."
Amber took the plates and grabbed some waters then headed back to the front door to see Knowledge was already waiting in a car.

After driving around for a few minutes, Knowledge pulled into the parking lot of a park.
Since the weather was good, and not a lot of people -except a few people exercising - were in the park, they decided to get out and sit on some swings to eat.
"If we here for me to apologize, I'm not doing that anymore." Amber told him.
"I ain even tryna get into witchu, Amb. The truth is, I still got some shit to resolve regarding everything that went down wit Mecca. I was mad because I want to be able to be apart of every moment I can. You might just see it as dropping her off wit a 'babysitter' but it's bigger than that to me." He expressed.

Amber was always in awe of how he handled himself and his emotions when it came time for them to talk.
It disarmed her defensive instincts.
"I'm sorry Knowledge." She apologized. "And you're right that's how I saw it, but I see how you view it now. I'm really sorry."
Knowledge nodded as he opened his water bottle.
"I'm sorry too." He told her. "When you was apologizing, I just wasn't ready to hear allat and I kept shutting you down."
"It's okay." Amber said.
"We gotta get it together." He chuckled.
Amber cracked a smile "We do."
The two sat in silence to finish their breakfast, then stood up.
"Oh!" Amber exclaimed as Knowledge pulled her into a bone crushing hug.
"I missed yo pretty ass." He said smiling down at her.
A wide grin spread across her face as she hugged him back.
"I missed you too, you coming wit me and Mecs to the barbecue?"
"Yea, I was supposed to pop up on you there but I had to get that shit off my chest now." He joked.
"Mhmmm, take me back to my baby."
"Yes ma'am." He said as he led her to his rental car.
