《The last adventure ~The Goonies~ Brand Walsh》Chapter 1

Samantha's POV
I was in my bedroom listening to music through my Walkman, my brunette hair was out and resting on my shoulders. People say I have beautiful brown eyes that anyone I would date could get lost in them. I live in Goon Docks which was in Astoria, Oregon half of Goon Docks is getting demolished due to the construction of a golf course and nobody is happy about it.
I mean who would be? Half of us had spent our entire lives here and none of the people being forced to move want to move.
My father worked as a miner and mum was an editor for the local paper. I wouldn't lie I always worried for my father because in mining anything could go wrong and I love my dad and I'd be devastated if anything happened. I was starting to get bored by myself, so I decided to head over to the Walsh's. I've known Brand since I can remember and I will admit I do have a crush on him. I have liked him for probably six years, but I'd never act on these emotions because I don't want to lose him or make things awkward.
I placed my Walkman, two cassette tapes and my headphones in my bag. I wrote a note for my parents and locked the door before grabbing my bike and started riding to the Walsh's home. I parked my bike behind the stairs to the back door and then ran to the front door and knocked three times.
I saw Mikey run to the door, he smiled and opened it.
"Thank you Mikey" I said with a smile, he nodded and shut the door. I walked to the living room and smiled brightly once I saw Brand. He was using some exercise thingy, he had his red bandanna in his hair then had his exercise clothes on.

"Who was at the door Mikey?" He asked.
"Bowie" he simply replied, Brand looked over his shoulder and instantly smiled. I gave a small wave and sat down on the couch with all the pirate designs. Mouth came out from the kitchen with a can of coke, he gasped at me and placed his drink down and started combing his hair.
"You don't have your headphones on! Who are you and what have you done with Samantha!" He exclaimed, I rolled my eyes and glared at him.
"Shut up Mouth" I said dropping my glare and looked back at Brand who had a smirk on his face. I smiled my cheeks turning slightly pink, Mikey came over with a sprite he handed it to me and once again I gave him a smile.
"Thanks Mikey" I said opening the can.
"We know you don't like a coke, so Brand decided to get you your own personal box of sprites" Mikey explained. I looked at Brand and smiled brightly.
"Awww thank you" I said, my heart swooning.
"You're welcome" he said smiling.
Mouth started making kissing sounds and did the kissing action with his lips. I blushed from embarrassment and hid it with the sprite can. Brand glared and hit his arm. Mouth grimaced and held his arm.
"Owww!" He exclaimed before sitting down on another couch, Mikey sat down taking a puff of his asthma puffer.
"Yo Bowie, did you hear that Brand had to go and screw up? He flunked his drivers test" Mouth said trying to get a bite from Brand, he glared at Mouth but pushed his anger to the side.
"Hey you guys!" A voice yelled from outside.
"Jerk alert!" Mouth shouted and both Mikey and Mouth jumped up and ran to the back door and onto the veranda.

"You brought your Walkman didn't you?" Brand asked with a smile.
"Since when am I not without it?" I asked smiling.
He chuckled and nodded knowing exactly what I'm like when it comes to music. I was subconsciously playing with my heart locket, the one Brand gave me for my 13th birthday.
"You still wear it?" He asked with a smile as he continued stretching the exercise thingy. I smiled nodding and stopped fiddling with the necklace. Mikey walked in with Mouth and Chunk trailing after him.
"Mikey feed to fish" Brand said, looking at the door then back at me. As mouth walked in his slammed the screen door on Chunk, Mikey grabbed the fish food and started feeding them.
"You turd!" Chunk exclaimed.
"You guys will never believe me, there was two cop cars okay. And they were chasing this four wheel deal, it was this real neat ORV and there were bullets flying all over the place. It was the most amazing thing I ever saw!" Chunk rambled on.
"More amazing than the time Michael Jackson came to your house to use the bathroom?" Mikey asked.
"More amazing than the time you saved those old people from the nursing home fire?" Brand asked.
"More amazing than the time you saved a bunch of kittens from being ran over?" I asked drinking from my can of sprite.
"Yeah and I bet it was more amazing than the time you ate your weight in Godfather's pizza?" Mouth asked.
"Okay, Brand Michael Jackson didn't come to my house. But his sister did" Chunk said, I chuckled and shook my head smiling. I could hear James Bond music and knew Data would be making a big fancy landing.

Friendship Overload
A capricious master of the past is saved by an unsuspecting girl. When told to pick her reward, she merely asks for his friendship. “If so, then I will be your friend. The best damn friend there ever was!” As such begins the journey of a kind hearted girl and her capricious friend. However, the more they learn about the world, the crueler it seems. Will the girl’s light lift it out of chaos, or will her friend’s hidden darkness bury it completely? What is light and what is darkness anyway? In the end, strength conquers all. (More details below↓ ) For those wanting more clear-cut details about the setting: The story revolves around the adventures of a reincarnated reckless mage with evil tendencies and his prodigious friend who’s trying to be a good person. However, the world they live in is low on resources and overpopulated with several races which hate each other’s guts, overpowered monsters that shouldn’t even exist, and paranoid humans on the verge of destruction. Basically, it’s one giant bloodbath waiting to happen. The MCs need to strengthen themselves, learn and adapt to their surroundings (which become more and more insane with each passing chapter), and eventually, hopefully, do something to stop the madness before the world’s destroyed in warfare.

Gaius Atiius Quadratus will not forget this kindness. The MC is based on the monk class of many rpgs, but the story isn't Litrpg. Also he will gain non monk abilities after a while. Fair warning I don't understand the rating system but I'll say M-rated just in case. This is my first story, I accept criticism but I would like the critic to explain the reasoning behind it. Also I'm still figuring how this site works and I have no schedule so updates may be sporadic, at least once a week. Not a native speaker but in the practices, too lazy to actually get the diploma, I got an average of 9.7 out of 10 at the Cambridge C1 level, the CAE, second highest european level for foreign languages, so it should be no problem. Despondent Divinity
There exists a Great Seal which split the world in two, one half ravaged by the Darkness, the other a safe haven of Light. Since the collapse of the old world, 20,000 years have passed, and the world watches on as their only protection from the Plague of Plagues slowly dissipates. Only the strong may survive the oncoming Demon horde, and the forgotten prince, Jack Calmira, fears he may not have what it takes. In a world where weakness is punished by death, what are weak men to do? Author's Note: Expect a chapter or two every month, but I'll get faster eventually. This story isn't a Wuxia, but it has a lot of eastern influence. The MC isn't OP and is flawed. Less action, more character driven. Constructive criticism would be appreciated as it's my first story. Chinese culture has inspired a lot of the novel, but much of it is an amalgamation of different cultures, some made up and some not. Think Xianxia + Shounen with a mix of western and eastern fantasy elements.

Hazard Lands (Dropped)
Pls don't read, it was my first novel and pretty crap.“This is the end…†heavenly and earth shattering voices echoed throughout the world. Bright flashes of light covered the entirety of the planet, blinding billions of people. Crimson clouds began to cover the atmosphere, painting the landscape a ghastly red. Animals howled in fear and flocks of birds rose to the sky, striving for solace. Many faces were stricken with abstract horror, while others stared up at the bloody sky with curiosity. A glimmer of surprise crossed their faces as seven beams of light stabbed into the world, much more blinding than the previous luminescence.“Begin the Apocalypse,†at this instance, the clouds caved in, showering the land with crimson liquid. Just who did the voice belong to? What were those lights? Is the world ending?Only time can time…
