It is strange how just one event can alter your entire life. For Nico and his sister, it had been 1 month ago, when they had lost everything they had. When they had fallen from the very top to the bottom, when all hope had been lost. It was when their parents had died - leaving them with nothing.

He remembered feeling as if the world had stopped spinning and he was frozen in the moment. He remembered feeling that there was no way that another day could begin or that they could ever start anew, for it seemed as though the world was ending. But sure enough the next morning, the sun rose again and with it came an invitation to the Amreshire Manor in England.

Sitting at that dinner table, when the Armeshires dropped the ultimatum, he felt that same feeling once again. But this time, he knew he could do something to save himself and his sister. This time, he wasn't completely helpless.

Nicholas was roaming the manor looking for his sister, to see if she had a plan, or if there was anywhere they could start looking for the cure. She wasn't in his room, nor in the ballroom or the dining room.

He found himself outside the manor, walking through a different entrance than before. It seemed to lead towards the back, and so he followed the path until he came across a figure in the garden.

But it wasn't Leah.

It was her.

"What on Earth are you doing here?"
